And this one is definitely also on my list of "best songs ever"... )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsNTmjlf1vI
I pictured a rainbow
You held it in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw the plan
I wandered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon
You were there in the turnstiles
With the wind at your heels
You stretched for the stars
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
I was grounded
While you filled the skies
I was dumbfounded by truth
You cut through lies
I saw the rain dirty valley
You saw Brigadoon
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
I spoke about wings
You just flew
I wondered I guessed and I tried
You just knew
I sighed
But you swooned
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon
With a torch in your pocket
And the wind at your heels
You climbed on the ladder
And you know how it feels
To get too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon
Unicorns and cannonballs
Palaces and piers
Trumpets towers and tenements
Wide oceans full of tears
Flags rags ferryboats
Scimitars and scarves
Every precious dream and vision
Underneath the stars
Yes you climbed on the ladder
With the wind in your sails
You came like a comet
Blazing your trail
Too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon

Today is the 11th of September, 2015, and as such, it has been 14 years since the George W. Bush administration finalized the last step into turning the United States of America into a fascist regime. This next song however — from one of my most favorite bands — already dates back to 1988, but I only first heard it a few years ago, during Toto's 2012 reunion tour (with Joseph Williams on vocals again), which was intended as a tribute to Toto's recently departed bass player Mike Porcaro, who had already been diagnosed with ALS at the time.
Without knowing that this song was already written and recorded in the late 1980s, I immediately got the impression that it was about what G.W. Bush and his cronies had done to the US. Therefore, as an apt consolation for my US American friends, this wonderful song. :)

Every thing's gonna be alright boys
Help is on the way
Hold your head up high now
There's no need to cry now
We're not running anymore
Leave the politics behind boys
They're not working anymore
There's so much more at stake here
It's make or break here
Haven't we been here before
Tell me what we're waiting for
Gotta remember
You don't have to be afraid
You still have the freedom to learn
And say what you want to say
Gotta remember
Don't let 'em take away
The land we call the home of the brave
Who sings the song of the people
You don't hear it anymore
I heard it late last summer
To the beat of a different drummer
It never sounded quite like this before
So you're trying to shake this feeling
That trouble's right outside the door
You lie awake each dark night
Like a time bomb wound up too tight
A storm in waiting, just offshore
Tell me what we're waiting for
Gotta remember
You don't have to be afraid
You still have the freedom to learn
And say what you want to say
Gotta remember
Don't let 'em take away
The land we call the home of the brave
Gotta remember
You don't have to be afraid
You still have the freedom to learn
And say what you want to say
Gotta remember
Don't let 'em take away
The land we call the home of the brave

Wake up kids
We've got the dreamers disease
Age 14 we got you down on your knees
So polite, you're busy still saying please
Frienemies, who when you're down ain't your friend
Every night we smash their Mercedes-Benz
First we run, and then we laugh 'til we cry
But when the night is falling
You cannot find the light
You feel your dreams are dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
I'm comin' home baby
You're tops
Give it to me now
Four a.m. we ran a miracle mile
We're flat broke
But hey we do it in style
The bad rich
God's flying in for your trial
But when the night is falling
You cannot find a friend (friend)
You feel your tree is breaking
Just then
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
This whole damn world could fall apart
You'll be ok, follow your heart
You're in harms way, I'm right behind
Now say you're mine
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
Don't let go
I feel the music in you
Don't let go
Fly high
What's real, can't die
You only get what you give
You are gonna get what you give
Don't give up
Just don't be afraid to leave
Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in
Don't let go
One dance left
Don't give up
Can't forget

Guess who just got back today
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven't changed that much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy
They were askin' if you were around
How you was, where you could be found
Told 'em you were livin' downtown
Drivin' all the old men crazy
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town again)
You know that chick that used to dance a lot
Every night she'd be on the floor, shakin' what she got
When I say she was cool she was red hot
I mean, she was steamin'
And that time over at Johnny's place,
Well, this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man, we just fell about the place
If that chick don't want to know, forget her
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town again)
Spread the word around
Guess who's back in town
Just spread the word around
Friday night they'll be dressed to kill
Down at Dino's Bar 'n' Grill
The drink will flow and the blood will spill
And if the boys want to fight, you better let 'em
That jukebox in the corner blastin' out my favorite song
The nights are getting longer, it won't be long
Won't be long till the summer comes
Now that the boys are here again
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town)
Spread the word around
The boys are back in town
(The boys are back in town again)
The boys are back in town again
Been hangin' down at Dino's
The boys are back in town again

Here's an oldie from back in my youth... :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPplyr0f99A
You told me I was the one
The only one who got your head undone
And for a while I believed the line that you spun
But I've been looking at you
Looking closely at the things you do
I didn't see it the way you wanted me to
How how howzat
You messed about
I caught you out
Howzat
Now that I found where you're at
It's goodbye
Well howzat
It's goodbye
You only came for a smile
Even though you're really not my style
I didn't think that you'd run me 'round
Like you do
How how howzat
You messed about
I caught you out
Howzat
Now that I found where you're at
It's goodbye
Well howzat
It's goodbye
Aha
O yeah, oh yeah
Well I've been looking at you
(I'll tell you what I see)
Looking closely at the things you do
(No you can't fool me)
I didn't see it the way you wanted me to
How how howzat
You messed about
I caught you out
Howzat
Now that I found where you're at
It's goodbye
Howzat
You messed about
I caught you out
Howzat
Now that I found where you're at
It's goodbye
Well howzat
Goodbye
Oh yeah, oh yeah

Here's arguably one of the most influential guitarists of the past four decades. ;)
This is 1990s-era Van Halen, with Sammy Hagar on vocals, after their original singer David Lee Roth chose to embark on a solo career. Both of these songs are from their For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album, which was a dummy title, because the band wanted to name the album after the initials of that phrase. (It's a great album, though. ;))

I met this guy back in 1993, and no, it's not a trick. He really is completely ambidextrous. ;)

Somebody showed me this video, telling me that he had met his soulmate and couldn't get this music out of his head. I understand now, and wish them both a lot of happiness... :victorious::tiphat::congratulations:

Why did we ever come so far?
I knew I'd seen it all before
Tall buildings reach up in vain
Tinseltown is in the rain
I know now love was so exciting
Tinseltown in the rain
Oh men and women
Here we are, caught up in this big rhythm
One day this love will all blow over
Time for leaving the parade
Is there a place in this city
A place to always feel this way
And hey, there's a red car in the fountain
Tinseltown in the rain
Oh men and women
Here we are, caught up in this big rhythm
Do I love you? Yes I love you
Will we always be happy go lucky?
Do I love you? Yes I love you
But it's easy come, and it's easy go
All this talking is only bravado, yeah
Oh, Tinseltown
Tinseltown in the rain
Oh men and women
Here we are, caught up in this big rhythm
Tinseltown in the rain
Oh men and women
Here we are, caught up in this big rhythm
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Do I love you? Yes I love you
Will we always be happy go lucky?
Do I love you? Yes I love you
But it's easy come, and it's easy go
All this talking, talking is only bravado
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain
Tinseltown is in the rain

I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
And past your door
But you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
Now you've disappeared somewhere
Like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Could you be dead?
You always were two steps ahead
Of everyone
We'd walk behind while you would run
I look up at your house
And I can almost hear you shout
Down to me
Where I always used to be
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Back on the train
I ask why did I come here
Can I confess
I've been hanging around your old address?
And the years have proved
To offer nothing since you moved
You're long gone
But I can't move on
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
And past your door
I guess you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
Now you've disappeared somewhere
Like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain (deserts miss the rain)
