Excellent as always

I personally don't know any Vietnam vets. My ex-fianceé and I always had a local vet checking up on our cats. My brother also takes his dog to a local vet, because even if the dog gets sick, it's still a little expensive to fly over to Vietnam...
:onthequite:
it's what I thought, during the Division Bell tour...another great one. I knew a hippie dude that didn't like Pink Floyd. I couldn't understand how...I had the Wall. I saw Carlos Santana 3rd on the most overrated guitarist of all time...that's bullshit.
I was not making fun of the veterans themselves, Sidinugget. I was only having a poke at the duplicity arising from abridging perfectly normal words. :noidea:
I know that many (if not most) of the Vietnam veterans were vilified by the hippies — the precursor of the Wokemons™ — when they came back home, even though most of those guys had never even asked to be sent to the war. They were drafted against their free will and sent off as cannon fodder to fight the Dirty Commies™ in yet another one of the West's filthy proxy wars, and when they returned home, they were hated by the hippies and abandoned by their own governments.
The only ones who could get out from underneath the draft were the ones whose parents were rich enough to buy them out — literally — with big sums of money, such as in the case of George W. Bush and his ilk — piss be upon them. :vom:
There is some truth to that...It was stupid and one of the reasons I could never do anything but sit on the fence...that is really my natural place...on the fence. But the fascist nature of the right and their relentless propaganda and hate agenda forced me to go on a my own relentless counter effort. That's the straight truth! Those 'hippies' were not really spiritual 'hippies'...they were the forerunners of stock brokers and backwoods 'mountain' people. In short, pot smoking rednecks. They found their place, just as the wokemons will and they won't be wokemons, they will be haters, natural born right wingers.
Maybe I should then just remind you that it was Lyndon Baines Johnson, a Democrat, who escalated the war in Vietnam, and that he did so within the very week of his inauguration, following the assassination of JFK, who wanted to pull out of Vietnam.
I don't particularly care for the political right, but I also don't particularly care for the kind of political left that you so vehemently embody. So maybe you just ought to stop posting your knee-jerk hatred for right-wingers all over the forum, as you are doing now.
90% of what you've been posting in these last couple of weeks makes you look just as rabid as they are. The only difference is that you're in denial about your own flavor of hatred and bigotry, while they are at least honest about it.
