My post was medieval and renaissance music. So here are the Baebes at my favorite venue instead.

They really should have left the next melody connected...
I love the sounds of summer, virtually I can see the insects flying past me. We are getting there. I'm guarding two hibernating butterflies through winter this time, and it is soon time to wake up. They are this type:

We have those here too in Finland during the summer, Aglais io. They look like as if they would have four eyes.
What a beautiful butterfly.
It reminded me of the painted lady which has spots on the underside of the wings.

I saw a couple of these so far this spring.

What's the best Ozzy cover band? (don't mean to be heretical)
This song has quite a story behind it, because it isn't really Ozzy's. The song was written by Steve Overland and his brother Chris for their band FM. Their bassist at the time was Phil Soussan. Soussan later on left the band and went on to play with (among others) Ozzy. When he started playing "Shot In The Dark" at a rehearsal, Ozzy thought that Soussan had written the song himself, but he didn't like the lyrics and he changed them.
Meanwhile, Steve Overland and Ozzy have come to an agreement regarding the song ─ neither made any problem out of the other one playing their version of the song, and I believe Ozzy has financially compensated Steve Overland for having had such a success with a song Steve had written but had never received any royalties for.
The version below is the original by FM. ;)
That's a really good story, Aragorn, I didn't know that.
I remember when I first saw the music video for this song on MTV. It still resonates! "God is an American."

"I admire Eddie Van Halen and Steve Lukather, but they might blow me away quite easily if we were to jam together." ~ Clapton
I wonder if he ever got to have the chance with Van Halen.

Why were the 70's so amazing, it's not fair! Something was "in the air" back then, not just psychedelics.

Oh yes, the 70s was great with music. I think this, Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale, originates from 1967, but was alive and happy in the 70s too.
