Dance me to the end is quite poignant as my folks are celebrating their 60th this year. They love to dance and are thinking about a dance party.

Another oldie, but one of my favorite songs of hers. She didn't write it herself ─ it was written by John Farrar, who once played bass guitar for The Shadows. ;)
She looked so gorgeous in this video. :p
I wanted to be like her when I was growing up. Sweet and pretty and a good singer. I was blond as a girl. I did sing in a choir and I have a decent voice but it can't stand up to solo work. Choral singing is great and I found it quite satisfying.
First time I ever heard that song by Dire Straits...very touching...
yup! :)
I don't usually post Hungarian stuff on this forum, but this cover of a popular song by three amateur female musicians is so otherworldly, that it would be a crime not to include it here. You may not understand the Lyrics (there are subtitles though), but the perfect harmonics, not to mention the angelic beauty of these three young girls will more than make up for it. Enjoy :)

For more than two centuries now the Hermitage has been adorned by a unique exhibit that never fails to evoke the enchanted admiration of visitors - the famous Peacock Clock. The figures of a peacock, cockerel and owl that form part of this elaborate timepiece-automaton are fitted with mechanisms that set them in motion.
Here's a song for adventure, you're invited along:

Lyrics
I remember my dad pulling off the road,
some people broke down he didn't need to know.
He got 'em goin' again... wouldn't let 'em give 'em a dime
He had a soft spot, for people on hard times
Mom knew the neighbor kids down the street,
with holes in their clothes and nothing to eat
She said i'm gonna feed 'em... just like they were one of mine
She had a soft spot, for people on hard times
Ya, I've been down 'n I've been out,
I know all about livin' hand to mouth
Could be me by the side of the road with that cardboard sign
I gotta soft spot, for people on hard times
When the wind blows hard and the rain won't stop,
and good working people lose all they got
You can't treat them like bein' broke is some kinda crime
You gotta have soft spot for people on hard times
It's good to have a soft spot for people on hard times
if this'n don't getcha i suggest carry yer sorry self out behind the barn 'n pull the trigger...
This one's from 1982. ;)
