These guys are not your normal kind of band. They are employees of the Anderton's musical instrument store in Guildford, UK. One of the two guitarists is "Captain" Lee Anderton, the current shop owner ─ it's a family business that was passed down onto him ─ and the other one is Peter "Danish Pete" Honoré, who has previously worked as a session and touring musician and who currently lives in the UK with his family.
I always really liked that song (MaxiPriest) ... oh, those were the days... :) cool.

I was actually in love when this song came out...it ruined me...I've never been the same since...
The Best Guitarist of the Decade?

Mark Tremonti? No, most definitely not. :)
There's a whole new generation of guitarists on the rise whose virtuoso techniques only begin where Steve Vai and Joe Satriani get off the train. Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes of Animals As Leaders are such guitarists, but they come even younger than that, like for instance Yvette Young.
it's that damn female digital dexterity...nice...
she plays that thing like she was born with it in her hands
I sent it to my daughter...I haven't given up on her yet...

Oh yes, the Old Masters come back, one way or the other. Some times you can spot them and some times you wonder where they are.
Here is one that I recognise as an Old Master: Odd Nerdrum the painter that dares to be himself in his own expression.
This segment is called:Quote:
His quote: Move backwards into the future so that your face is illuminated by the past.
Refugees.

The refugees are our brothers and sisters and there are lots of them wandering homeless around.
Some more Yvette Young ─ Covet is the name of her band, and apart from the guitar, Yvette also plays the piano and keyboards.
Lee Anderton ─ see the two videos of The Andertones higher up the page ─ also did an interview with Yvonne.
some kind of classical training...right?
She's interesting...when my daughter played she had this weird ability to make her playing sound like multiple plays...she thought nothing of it, but I was certainly impressed. I don't know if musicians always do that but I found it very cool...
she seems so utterly sweet... :)
Loved initially the way she compared the music to a pallet...i.e. painting with sound, plus her ability to jump from one genre to another with such ease. She has most certainly a lot more coming out from within.
Hey...break that finger to make it fit the neck of the guitar. :omg:
