Andy Timmons?
yeah, I really l ike that too ... It wasn't live and it had an album cover... I don't think it was the guy from the mid-90's had wings on the cover ... maybe, I don't remember that well. It was sort of uptempo but very melodic at the same time...really nice stuff. lol... it's on the site somewhere... I may have to search it completely.
I don't remember anything with wings on the cover — not off the top of my head anyway — but the one with the album cover was Greg Howe, because it was after all a whole album. :hmm:
Edit 1: Wait, was it Eric Johnson?
Edit 2: Or maybe Lee Ritenour?
I think it was Eric Johnson ... it is old but very cool. but it was the whole thing I believe. I listened to it for at least an hour or more the first time through ... I hope I'm not driving you crazy yet. The sound is very close though...I was thinking it was Eric Johnson but I couldn't remember for sure. I played baseball as a kid with a guy named Eric Johnson...how could I forget that name.
I know it was posted about the same time ... :)
I don't think I've ever posted an entire album by Eric Johnson. I do own one of his albums, but the song above is not on that one. I do also have a live version of that song above, but it's on another album; it's an album of the (first?) G3 Tour, with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. The album contains a number of songs from each, and then a couple of songs they did together — all live.
But now I'm thinking of something else... You threw me off course with the wings thing, but was it not Guthrie Govan?
This weeks's HSCC and LLB uploads, and they're goodies again. :)
Man I used to hear that Black Velvet so much from radio as it was playing all the time, that was when I was still listening to radio. :)
Lari's got a new album out. ;)
Ha, my radio days are done as well! Except for tuning in Glenn Beck on AM talk radio here and there when out and about, just to see what's up with that particular clan.
The commercials just drive me up the fucking wall any more, it's an assault on my senses. Though a lot of that sensitivity likely comes from like, 20 years straight of listening to FM rock radio cranked up full blast, all day every day while working on crews building houses. Eventually as the years went on, it got to where I just couldn't take another blah blah blah obnoxious car salesman yelling in my ear and finally that was it, no more! No more commercials!
Sometimes in traffic there will be a car close by just blaring out commercials, the last block of music was over but it's almost like the person doesn't even notice, you just keep that shit cranked up too.
At least on the job sites we had an excuse, the boss isn't exactly going to be paying people to run back and forth turning the radio volume up and down all day LOL...
I love that song 'Black Velvet' ... It's got a great groove ...

Damn, what a babe ... :)
I don't blame you ... but I know you posted it. maybe it just hit me different ... I really don't think so, though. A sound I really like always sticks with me.
Like her she always sounds sublime ... like floating on cloud 9 ... it's great.
I guess I'll settle for one of hers ... she's new ... to me anyway.
