I remember when I first saw the music video for this song on MTV. It still resonates! "God is an American."

"I admire Eddie Van Halen and Steve Lukather, but they might blow me away quite easily if we were to jam together." ~ Clapton
I wonder if he ever got to have the chance with Van Halen.

Why were the 70's so amazing, it's not fair! Something was "in the air" back then, not just psychedelics.

Oh yes, the 70s was great with music. I think this, Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale, originates from 1967, but was alive and happy in the 70s too.

We're going to Scotland next year! It's the first time since 1989. Back then my husband and I were dating and totally lied, saying we were engaged. It was rather improper for a woman to be traveling with two men, unmarried. It was a bank holiday the first weekend so I ended up paying for everything. Pretty funny irony there.
We're going with these guys and Brother, who are from Australia.
Please enjoy the magnificent scenery.

We got to know the band years ago when they would come to various Festivals that we attend. More recently, the head drummer, Jamesie Johnston, has begun a walking tour where he calls himself Gentle James. Groups go hill walking in Scotland. He also does a group chat thing (on Facebook, I think) called Clan Noseybook.
He's well versed in the history of Scotland and talks about Scotland gaining it's independence once more.
