After, how many years has it been and you still have no clue about who I am. I am incapable of denial...one of my painful realities.

And now, for something completely different..............
Frank, my brother, how were the hippies precursors of woke? These people were looking to break free from their parents' and grandparents' strict, conservative view of the world. They had a mantra "love pot and microdot", were wondering if they were a son of God right along with Yeshua, live and let live, and wanted an end to war so bad some of them encircled the Pentagon and tried to levitate the damn thing LOL.
And the CIA had to reign in the LSD because their little experiment was growing out of control and backfiring on them. Enter heroin, soon followed by cocaine. A much different kind of party time.
I see zero correlation between that, and these holier than thou shit libs who are all about sucking up to power, and waiting in anticipation to gather their mob and cancel anything they don't like.
I've got every reason to believe this aspect of the CIA culture war project is working well according to plan.
And that's one glaring area where the hippies went off the rails, they were spitting their ire at the wrong party. In hindsight, aspects of the movement weren't very "street smart" in certain areas of concern. Were they armed with the knowledge people are far more privy to today, it may have gone a totally different direction than mostly winding up fusing right back into the system they once detested.
Kind of live if the American Indians would have had modern bows and arrows.

So, some news about Harry Smith....................

Definitely an honorable man. It's an amazing story. And I think he was right. It seems like all soldiers were mistreated (from Vietnam). I suppose it might be forgivable for people that haven't had experiences like that to be unmoved, but government officials. F*ck no, that's just wrong. People just need to screw their heads on right...

A great tune from a great double album
Yeah, I like/d their music.
I don't remember ever hearing a song by him before 2000:

I've not listened to Zappa almost at all and don't really know how his music is.
I was surprised to read that he was really popular in Finland in the 70's.
He was quite popular everywhere, albeit that his music was a very complex kind of progressive rock and was definitely not for everyone. I saw a live concert by him on TV when I myself was still a teenager, and I think that at that point in time, I myself was probably not ready yet for that kind of music. Later in life, Zappa went on to write and orchestrate classical music.
Steve Vai began his career as a guitarist for Zappa at barely 18 years old. Zappa used to delegate the guitar parts to him that Zappa himself deemed "impossible to play", and always introduced Vai as "our little Italian virtuoso". Even today, Steve Vai's own music is still heavily influenced by his time with Frank Zappa, of whom he speaks very fondly.
The song "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple also mentions Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention in its lyrics...
We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
We didn't have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers
Were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun
Burned the place to the ground
