Keep this thought in mind: The US will be united again. I know that I will. :)

I believe you Elen. You also knew that we here would stay united. And you were right.:cool:;)

He puts a really nice spin on the whole thing and I, for one really appreciate it. But this is not going to fly for the loudest ugliest voices in America. I can envision the memes, the fake news, and Q righties (in particular, now that we know they're white supremes) screaming with their Trump flags topping out the Statue of Liberty. "It's all Biden's fault". So we have similar conditions as what Trump created ... but he smiled inwardly as babies were wrenched from their mothers arms and he deserves his cosmic hell cell on that score alone. Biden is trying to help people. It's a big problem and there are legitimate ways to approach it, but again, most righties don't really give a flying f*ck about those, at the very least there has to be something big for them in any deal or 'talk to the hand'. It brings out the beast in me. :)
Beastly one, they would have bitched, imo, regardless of the direction Biden took. If babies aren't being ripped from their mothers arms that's a step in the right direction. I also recall a whole bunch of public figures getting on the media talking about how many migrants are going to come to the 'open' borders.
As if they wanted that to happen. Keep publicizing it. Keep yelling it from the rooftops. They'll come alright.
They need to process the kids faster. That will happen, hopefully. We're not even through Biden's honeymoon period yet.
Of course, Biden hasn't been given a transition, a normal inauguration, or a honeymoon.
He's fighting uphill battles and he's still getting stuff done. We'll see how it goes.
I'm not championing him, I haven't said how I feel about what he's done so far, I'm just trying to make observations. It's too soon for me to be making judgments.
I knew that Coca Cola was Headquartered in Atlanta. I didn't know there was a Coca Cola PAC. It is most certainly not in favor of the voting restriction legislation coming out of the legislature.

I used to live in DC, just out of college. I'd go vote and people would tell me over and over, "You're vote doesn't count."
It's always been weird to hear that from folks who don't live/never lived in DC.
At 5 minutes 30 seconds Beau talks about the reasoning to not let DC have a vote. They're 'low quality voters'.
That's really the heart of the matter isn't it?
Not what the Founders wanted.
Not that.
No no no, Beau. Give the residential areas to Maryland, not Virginia. (yes, I'm biased since I live in Maryland;))
Besides, Virginia already got their side of the Potomac.

Well dang, she did it again. She's stopped clinging to talking points. So nice.
She offers several ideas as a starting point to do something and stop the same-old, same-old reactions.

Beau goes into the difference between historical statues and works of art, as well as motives for placing certain ones. And why removing some statues has nothing to do with anyone being cancelled.
