George Washington required vaccination of his troops which was quite dangerous at the time. But he knew the British were already inoculated against smallpox.
If he hadn't, he would have lost and there would be no USA now.
And throughout our history we have required them for school children, military service and more. Many work places have required both vaccinations and physical exams. I had to show a physical to get a job. I had to get fingerprinted to get a job.
I would want to know that I'm not working next to felons and child abusers which is why we also have background checks.
There are all kinds of requirements.
I personally think it's irresponsible to use the word apartheid. But I know folks are living in areas where it's hard to do many things while not vaccinated. I'm hopeful we'll find the balance.
Many people have valid reasons for not getting vaccinated. There should be a way for them to participate in society.
And that would be for all those who can to get the shot, whichever one they feel safe with. And mask up as a precaution.
Simple, but not easy.
There are alternatives ... masks, look if masks don't work, why the hell worry about wearing one, If that was what I needed to get my 1.50 Hot'nSpicy Chicken burger at McDonald's ... well, mask it is. I get what I want and I don't kill anyone in the process, well, that's a win/win from my perspective.
But perhaps that ship has sailed.
I watched a minute, it was enough to make my point for me ... What Sinema did? Does that sound like what the Democratic party stands for? One person stands in the way of helping the common person? Sinema! One person stands in the way of saving the U.S. infrastructure, saving children, saving the poor, ad infinitum? Manchin! That's a condemnation of the left? Hardly! Come on, Pepos! Seeing reality for what it is, is not an impossible task! Yes, as the owner of the flatulant bird says, It's Obvious! Jesus!, help us!
"The metaverse is expanding..." Good word play.
Zuch? Having a God complex? Whyever would that happen? I mean, it's not like we decided monopolies are great or anything. If you're given the opportunity to take over the world on a golden platter, what would you do?
Social engineering, scant regulation, misinformation, it was a perfect storm. Exceptional indeed.
I really do wish we could have some positive exceptionalism. I'd much prefer that we be at the top of the good lists, not the bad ones. We've created an exceptionally bad dynamic here...
This is a good one from Russel, he's funny in it.
