Thank you, Gio. The land I now call home is recognizable. I lived in the Catskills, visited the Adirondacks and crossed the Rockies. All majestic and magical. but the ancient, worn down remains of the Appalachians speaks to my heart. The people also have an ancient quality to them and I fit in and am embraced.
My eyes moistened listening to a beautiful Beatles song while viewing a landscape I now recognize. A landscape I intend to lay my bones in.
