I had a very cute blind neighbor that with her guide dog was waiting at a stoplight at the corner of our apartment complex. A car apparently lost control and ran up on the sidewalk and blasted through a couple of signs just a few feet from her. She never moved but it was crazy to see happen. I ran into her a few years later and asked her if she remembered the event (I'm always checking my sanity... :)
and she remarked that she certainly did.
I was riding my bicycle from work and crossing a main thoroughfare but cheating a bit crossing on a yellow light. I caught a flash out of the corner of my eye and jerked to the left and was knocked off my bike by a car trying to beat the light. Literally a tenth of a second difference and it would have been over. Talking about time slowing down. I saw God that day.
