You wanna know something really funny? I'm a Flemish Belgian, and thus I was raised in Dutch, and I live in the Dutch-speaking part of the country. But the people in that video are Dutchmen ─ as in "from the Netherlands" ─ and yet I can't understand a single word they're saying.
:ttr:
My dad would often say the same thing about Spanish speakers from different cultures... They're not faking the lingo are they?
I don't suppose you've ever met the Muscles from Brussels have you ... :)
I met Jackie Chan at a book signing ... seemed like a genuine guy ... but tired after signing and shaking hundreds of people's hands.
Don't tell. Shhhhh..... He can't handle it.

No, that's genuine Dutch, but with a very typical regional pronunciation and rhythmic cadence.
No, I never have. Ironically, I've met (and talked with) many foreign celebrities ─ mainly musicians, of course. And naturally, myself also being a musician, I've also met several local musicians with somewhat of a celebrity status.
That said, most people here don't think highly of Van Damme. We Belgians consider him a showboat, a narcissist, and a very bad actor. ;)
yeah, Van Damme has been accused of being way to self-important by many people. Despite the rumours though, he was/is an excellent athlete
I liked his early 90's action movies, but I wouldn't be surprised about narcissism when it comes to actors.
Have you heard the stories about the feud between him and Steven Seagal? He's quite the character.

I always really enjoyed the way Seagal killed people ... now he's a Texas sheriff and a big hero to the right especially in Texas... no thanks, I haven't been able to watch anything of his since.

Yeah, a fake ass sheriff! The guy is a total jerk and out of touch with reality.
His very first films from the late 80's to early 90's were good though. Anybody seen Richie?

You should see a list of things they pull out of adults from the other end ... :)
