Excellent description...the presentation that i saw had a little more of the Mayan mysticism interwoven.
I think the pyramid is larger at its base than he measured, as the apex and the edges at the top reveal the geometry, and the result would be well over 300 meters at the base
I think you might be correct because the presentation I saw 'claimed' that it had the greatest volume of any pyramid in the world...
The more I learn about these pyramids the more fascinated I am. There was a whole world of them which is now just remnants.
Maybe way back Pyramids were for power and harmony , next civilisation used cathedrals ?
Cathedrals took very long to build. Generations. You can see the change of styles from start to finish.
I imagine pyramids did as well.
In the 1990s, there was a talk show on television here, and in the first broadcast, the presenter challenged a number of architects and engineers to come up with a way to build a historical pyramid ─ same dimensions and all ─ using present-day technology. It was right at the start of the show, and he gave them the duration of the entire show for making their calculations.
By the end of the show, they came up with their plan, and as it turned out, they needed a lot longer to build it than the Egyptians had needed. ;)
