This is not a good development. If this 'glitch' is not fixed soon, there are going to be lots of hungry people.

Take that one step further...if people can't buy their Prozac and go cold turkey, there will be lots of crazed, hungry people.

Orchestrated by design perhaps? Mmmmm...

Hey Sooz.

I think this time it was legit.

It only effected some parts of the country and is allegedly fixed now ...

_____________

(CNN) -- A computer failure temporarily halted the processing of food stamp purchases in parts of the country Saturday.

A system shutdown began at 11 a.m. ET Saturday and affected 17 states, said a spokeswoman for Xerox -- which is a contractor for the program. By Saturday night, the issue had been resolved.

Hey Calz, it's still up on Drudge. I hope you are right, wow, if so that's a major catastrophe averted. I hope it wasn't a test run.

Drudge doesn't update the site 24/7.

It could have been a "test run" though. Strange times and everything seems to be hitting at once.

Yep a systems check to fail at a predetermined time.
