Good morning!

I have a confession. One that is not too hard to figure out given my previous posts in the past here and elsewhere.

I've been suffering from a form of PTSD due to severe grief. Not too hard to understand given the loss I've suffered in the past I suppose. But I didn't consciously realize the internal war inside myself...the up and down of cause and effect of said loss. I suppose I really didn't want to accept the loss as it would surly be a final account of something inside me that just didn't want to let go.

So recently I went to California as you know from previous postings...but what I didn't tell anybody or even myself was how scared I was to go back there because the last time I was there was to take care of my late son. I didn't tell anybody of my fears...not even Lionhawk who had no clue I was going through this until I finally had to tell him because when I returned I dove into a deep depression.

Currently I've been pulling myself out of it and am indeed working on the very things that I have all but quit like my session work because I could just not hang...no matter how hard I tried.


I'm telling you this because it was Gio contacting me that helped pull me out of it. Even Lionhawk bless him could not help me no matter how hard he worked to get me through the hardest of times.

I have always had a chemistry with Gio...perhaps a soul family connection with him....I just don't know but something has rejoined us again.

I quite doing sessions because of this and have now decided to go back to it. One of my last few sessions was the discovery of the Golden Elixir. Major floorization hit me that day! I want to share that with you now. It was when I discovered an Egyptian scroll that had nine principles....Artemis was giving me the fifth principle on the scroll and it went like this...I'm copying this verbatim.

The next five are going to come in separate sessions.

The fifth principle: Discretion.

So I'm going into session curious what number five meant...because it was most confusing. I figured due to the previous four It would encompass more physics. I was wrong. It kicked my butt when it was revealed after viewing/session.

So I meet up with Artemis again and he took me somewhere I've never seen before. I'm placed between a rather long row of stoic men standing shoulder to shoulder. Staring straight forward. Artemis directs me to walk between them. I had no idea what was at the end of this row of men. while walking between the row of men I ask Artemis is this in the past or future. He says "neither, this is now".

I turn the corner and see flashes of light. Flashes of darkness. I ask him what is this you're showing me? He reminds me of the session I had and wrote about regarding "life during wartime" and my statement of Syria a few years ago.



I ask "what's going on here"? he says:

The War of Lights.

I ask him again...what can I do about this? I'm handed a glass of yellow liquid. I ask "what is that"?

You'll find out...it's more than a drink. It's the "Golden Elixir".

Which meant it was far more complicated and I needed to research it.

So he looked me straight in the eye and said...


The 5th: Discretion...

That's a biggie!

The act of discretion encompasses cause and effect as well as free will.

Discretion: the right to choose what should be done in a particular situation

: the quality of being careful about what you do and say

: the quality of having or showing discernment or good judgment

: ability to make responsible decisions

: individual choice or judgment

And so on.

So I went out of session and proceeded to look up Golden Elixir. To which I fell out of my chair as I was transported far from Egypt!

No worries Aianawa ...I'm just not going to present anymore political news or views. I was hesitant to do so when I first posted a Rachel Maddow video because I figured due to the Trumpian shout of fake news permeates the alternative community. It would have been a whole lot easier to just say fake news rather than the a b c g's of the same meaning but as I said no worries.

The fact is I'm alone in this view on these alternative forums and am ever amazed. I will say this however Ms Maddow was talking about Standing Rock when all the MSM news outlets were ignoring it and it was not until Trump sided with the oil companies that they started to get coverage. She alone was covering it and she is tops in her field as an investigative reporter. Is she biased? Show me a new media sight that is not. I mean ANY news media sight anywhere that is not biased.

I've made no secret that I'm a card carrying liberal ... or as some in the alt right would say a "libtard". I'm embarrassed to be living in a country with this guy as POTUS and that is a fact.

Now I'm going to share a little something that Kryon said just recently on the election since I know you happen to follow his stuff:

Now is that not what we are seeing? ...it’s not the push caused by the one who got elected, but rather it’s the push by those who are affected.

Those who are affected are people who's drinking water is in danger more than ever. Who's healthcare is in jeopardy. It all needs to be fixed but not on the heels of big oil. It never was and never will be. The push for cleaning up the environment should be of major concern and those that do care will revolt in many ways of this I'm certain.

Now this is my last stance on any thing political. I will reserve those thoughts in private and not concern the forum any further with such things. I do urge you all to watch however because this is not the time to stop paying attention. Do yourself a favor and get all sides of the view no matter what people tell you. It's important to hear all sides to get a balanced view.

Don't let yourself be swayed by all the fear based alt right propaganda that tells you this stuff in not important. The only agenda here for big oil is the rich get richer. It never has and never will supplement the little guy in anything other than slave labor and deregulated environmental rape.

Ah yes, the libtards. I have been having the amazingly consistent experience of listening to/reading sources in the alternative media who speak carefully and seriously about the subject at hand until the moment when they have to start dumping on the libtards. Then it becomes a middle school circle jerk for a while and then back to the serious discussion at hand.

It happens without fail. And each time, whoever it is goes down several notches in my estimation because they're clearly emotionally immature. Their ideas and positions are tainted by their deep-seated biases. It's rampant and seems almost like a requirement. Apparently, if you want to be taken seriously in the alternative media you have to drop in some kind of 'liberals suck' rhetoric.

If people think that the alternative news is just filled with the truth compared to the mainstream then they're not thinking. It's a well known fact in this community that truth is sandwiched in lies. It's also 'common knowledge' that the cabal has to tell us what it's up to. Does this community really believe they're only doing that in Hollywood?

Our news departments are part of 'entertainment' in media companies for a reason. If people don't pay attention to how our news media is 'entertaining' us they're missing out. It's logical. And logic, imo, is quite often in short supply.

I have been having the amazingly consistent experience of listening to/reading sources in the alternative media who speak carefully and seriously about the subject at hand until the moment when they have to start dumping on the libtards. Then it becomes a middle school circle jerk for a while and then back to the serious discussion at hand.

It happens without fail. And each time, whoever it is goes down several notches in my estimation because they're clearly emotionally immature. Their ideas and positions are tainted by their deep-seated biases. It's rampant and seems almost like a requirement. Apparently, if you want to be taken seriously in the alternative media you have to drop in some kind of 'liberals suck' rhetoric.

If people think that the alternative news is just filled with the truth compared to the mainstream then they're not thinking. It's a well known fact in this community that truth is sandwiched in lies. It's also 'common knowledge' that the cabal has to tell us what it's up to. Does this community really believe they're only doing that in Hollywood?

Our news departments are part of 'entertainment' in media companies for a reason. If people don't pay attention to how our news media is 'entertaining' us they're missing out. It's logical. And logic, imo, is quite often in short supply.

I agree alot with what is said here and also Shadowself's highlight of the push back of those affected (everyone) and yet there is the extreme takeover of "world" by whatever we call it... IGNORANCE is what I call it. Lack of common sense? lack of moral compass? Lack of wisdom?

IMO it is not how far "left" or "right" but the push from Low level states of consciousness that we need to NEUTRALIZE. You cannot "fight it" because it will not give up until everyone is dead too. As the matter of fact, I have been saying this for many years already, and back in 2007 or so, I had the intent of starting a new political party that would do away with this low-level kind of thinking, and that would instead focus on — among other things — "enlightening" people through proper education and stimulation, as opposed to an education system which is specifically tailored to groom kids for the job market. Part of my objective was also to come to a post-scarcity society, and to focus on scientific research — especially in the field of renewable energy sources.

I posted my ideas to a Usenet newsgroup (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet_newsgroup) — even though they are called "newsgroups", a more appropriate name would be discussion groups — on Belgian politics. Needless to say, I was attacked and ridiculed over my ideas, and primarily so from the neo-liberal camp, even though the traditional left — i.e. the socialists — was almost equally spiteful toward me.

It's difficult to convey such ideas onto a public of materialists who believe that life is only the result of a chemical fluke and that a financial-economical and scarcity-based society model is the best invention ever since sliced bread. (Actually, it has already existed since before the invention of sliced bread, but I think you know what I mean. ;))

Anyway, instead of starting a political party myself — and mind you, I had no intention of running for any office as I only wanted to start the movement — I ended up joining a party that was somewhat similar in scope to what I had in mind, albeit narrower. I had been warned by people who had already started a political party earlier that the established parties were going to try to control and assimilate you, and if they couldn't, that they would start ridiculing you in the mainstream media and bully you until you either gave in and joined them, or until your credibility and reputation had been thoroughly destroyed so that nobody would take you seriously anymore. And yes, that is what they do, time and time again.

The party I chose to join was an existing and somewhat alternative party, and I considered it a step in the right direction, but using the tools that were already available and that were at least somewhat accepted within the political landscape. Nevertheless, my membership of said party was very short — not even a whole year — because I found that the party's leadership had already fallen for the same traps as can be found in the other parties — i.e. the ego, group think, and a clear separation between the inner circle on the one hand and the supporting members on the other hand — and then after having lost a regional election later that same year, the party allowed itself to be absorbed by the Green Party for the sake of having access to a few seats in parliament.

So I left my membership for what it was and moved on, now completely disgusted with all things political.

I had always been left-wing when I was younger, but in the traditional, European sense, i.e. I come from a socialist background. However, socialism is just as outdated as Keynesian liberalism.

Instead of a one-dimensional political horizon, political preferences are actually best represented in a two-dimensional plane, i.e. a compass. The left and right side more or less represent the traditional views, and the upper and lower sides represent authoritarianism versus libertarianism, respectively.

My definition of liberal seems to differ from the perceived views of others.

Quite literally liberal: Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.

In the political sense: Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. Whereas classical liberalism emphasizes the role of liberty, social liberalism stresses the importance of equality. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programs such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, gender equality, and international cooperation.

To adhere to these ideas one does not have to belong to any 'party'. As I've said in the past I did not support Hillary Clinton.

Not a difficult concept.

But quit literally I once tried to describe myself in this sense when 9/11 happened and my concerns. I started a blog and have since made all but one post there private as it all seemed redundant and a waste of time. But I did leave my about me page which was written some time ago. It's as true today as it was back then. Of course I am no longer retired and do work every day which is why I have so little time to devote to writing anymore. This is the liberal sense that describes me and nothing other than that comprises the perceived views of political dictations and perceptions.

The logic of the sun as being the focal point of thinking about the divine is plain enough. Even before you know the science the experience of Sun is powerful enough in an entirely mundane way. The solstice and equinox festivals I celebrated during my time in Wicca were, in one sense, scarcely religious in the sense we now know the word. They were expressions of awe and gratitude, as well as awareness of the round of seasonal changes. The religious seems to have arisen from the absence of any notion of materialism or mechanism (all was entirely animistic), and from a natural sense of awe and respect for something that is palpably present and yet utter mysterious.
So the idea of the sun as a literal and/or symbolic agency (including ideas of the hidden sun, or the sun behind the sun) seem fundamental to our psyche and our culture.

He is interesting, widely read and he speaks well also...very listenable.

I have a peeve though. He delivers the info as FACTS.....
It is really frustrating to me that all this synthesis he shares of the "ancients" is second hand and could all be just made up.

Almost everything he said is a condensation of information (though he synthesizes a narrative well). My peeve is that information is mixed up between various "sources" where verification of true/not true would take the listener a LONG time to tease out.

The information about mercury propulsion does not come from the Vedas. It was channeled in the early 20th century for example.


The Vaimānika Śāstra, an early 20th-century Sanskrit text on aerospace technology, makes a claim that he vimānas mentioned in ancient Sanskrit epics were advanced aerodynamic flying vehicles, similar to a rocket capable of interplanetary flight as backed up by the ancient alien theory.

Revealed in 1952 by G. R. Josye, the texts contain 3000 shlokas in 8 chapters which Shastry claimed was psychically delivered to him by the ancient Hindu sage Bharadvaja. The Emerald Tablet is one of the most revered documents in the Western World, and its Egyptian author, Hermes Trismegistus, has become synonymous with ancient wisdom. His tablet contains an extremely succinct summary of what Aldous Huxley dubbed the "Perennial Philosophy," a timeless science of soul that keeps popping up despite centuries of effort to suppress it. The basic idea is that there exists a divine or archetypal level of mind that determines physical reality, and individuals can access that realm through direct knowledge of God.

The teachings of Hermes -- the Hermetic tradition -- is one of the oldest spiritual traditions in the world, and while no direct evidence links the Emerald Tablet to Eastern religions, it shares uncanny similarities in concepts and terminology with Taoism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. In the West, the tablet found a home not only in the pagan tradition but also in all three of the orthodox Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), and many of the most heretical beliefs of the Gnostics are also openly expressed in it. Like the authors of the tablet, the Gnostics believed that direct knowledge of reality could be attained through psychological discipline and meditative exercises. They also shared a common view of the universe in which "All Is One," a pattern of creation and decay symbolized by the Ouroboros (the snake eating its own tail).

Without doubt, the Emerald Tablet was the inspiration behind many other esoteric traditions, including over 1,700 years of alchemy. Most medieval alchemists hung a copy of the tablet on their laboratory wall and constantly referred to the "secret formula" it contained. In fact, during the sixteenth century, Hermes Trismegistus was such a revered figure that there was a movement to have his teachings replace those of Aristotle in European schools.

Five hundred years later, the tablet's words are still held in the highest regard. "The Emerald Tablet is the cryptic epitome of the alchemical opus," noted Jungian analyst Dr. Edward Edinger, "a recipe for the second creation of the world." Ethnobotanist and consciousness guru Terence McKenna agrees, calling the tablet "a formula for a holographic matrix" that is mirrored in the human mind and offers mankind its only hope for future survival. "Whatever one chooses to believe about it," sums up John Matthews in The Western Way (Penguin 1997), "there is no getting away from the fact that the Emerald Tablet is one of the most profound and important documents to have come down to us. It has been said more than once that it contains the sum of all knowledge -- for those able to understand it."

There IS a fact we can verify. MANY esoteric authors/mystics/prophets left their writings and "translations", with esoteric message, mainly between the late 1880's and mid 1950's that is now being accepted as "just so" and then built upon. Pulp sci fi has also influenced the narratives. This is like L. Ron Hubbard Scientology based (in the deep structure) on Sci Fi beliefs The story and authored BELIEFS is what we are receiving.

Oliver’s Dweller on Two Planets, and various hollow earth theories from the Victorian era. From Lovecraft, too, we see echoes in the idea that the ancient people were a space-faring race and that the Elder Race (his words: cf. Lovecraft’s Elder Things, Ancient Ones, and Old Ones) would return from the stars.....

the important role the Lovecraft Mythos played in the development of fringe history and ufology. Card told me about the Lovecraftian influence on the neo-Theosophist Maurice Doreal (Claude Doggins), the author of the Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean, often cited in fringe literature as genuine ancient texts from Atlantis. From Dweller on Two Planets Doreal incorporated into his vision of the cosmos the alleged lost civilization hiding out beneath Mount Shasta in California, and he adopted the Shaver Mystery as part of his own burgeoning mythos as the 1940s progressed and Palmer began recommending Doreal’s work to Shaver fans.

Doreal wrote a pamphlet called “Mysteries of the Gobi” about an underground race beneath that desert, and I wonder if that wasn’t a source for some of Peter Kolosimo’s Gobi claims. I’ve never read it, so I don’t know. What I do know is that Doreal’s claims were explicitly Lovecraftian. His underground race were serpent people, and they were ancient aliens from another world—essentially Robert E. Howard’s serpent people. Both shared the same description: humans with snake heads. In a later pamphlet, “UFOs: An Occult Perspective” (1948), they were asserted to be primeval and entombed under the earth in suspended animation—just like the reptilians of “The Nameless City,” which Lovecraft wrote in 1921 but which Doreal would have read in Fanciful Tales in 1936 or Weird Tales in 1938. Doreal appropriated from Howard the idea that the snake men masquerade as humans and have taken positions of power in human society.

But even more interesting is Doreal’s more or less explicit plagiarism of Lovecraft in Emerald Tablets, in which he has reimagined the serpent race in terms Lovecraft associated with the Old Ones, apparently equating the two groups in a way Lovecraft only occasionally and partially implied. I had never read these tablets in their entirety because, frankly, they are fakes so I never had any incentive to read so much drivel. It turns out that they contain some very interesting evidence.

Although Doreal claims that he found and translated these tablets—named for the ninth-century Hermetic text to which it bears little resemblance—in the Great Pyramid of Giza in 1925, this is an almost certain fiction, and the “translations” weren’t published until the late 1930s or 1940s. I want to take a look at a passage from Tablet 8 side-by-side with the parallel text from the Necronomicon fragment given in “The Dunwich Horror” and the Cthulhu theogony in “Call of Cthulhu” to show the textual dependency of Doreal on Lovecraft. The passage begins with a paraphrase of Old Castro’s claims from “The Call of Cthulhu,” rendering the Old Ones as “children of shadow” but preserving the claim that they are to be found under the earth. From there, he plagiarizes “Dunwich,” but almost certainly from the version given by August Derleth in The Lurker at the Threshold, which alters the text in small but significant ways, emphasizing the punishment of the Old Ones by his Elder Gods. I don't always agree with Jason Colvito but the way that these authors of fiction have shaped our perspective is well stated IMO.

When texts such as the Emerald Tablets for example are delivered through their secondary sources and WE become Tertiary receivers, we are building our mental scaffolds on sand. IMO this phenomenon and the implications of OUR taking in Secondary report as "history" and fact used to shape our understanding is a quagmire.

4.7.1 Les Brown's Shocking Experience
A video I have by the late Canadian crystal researcher, Les Brown, tells
of a huge charge of power he got from a large 30 foot pyramid which he
built (See figure 4.7.1-1). He put a counterclockwise (CCW), vortex
shaped, copper stove wire (with frayed ends) at the top, on the inside, of
his big 30-foot pyramid to act as an antenna/collector. At the bottom of
the pyramid he affixed a wire to a piece of 1/4" plywood wound in a

down the center of the large pyramid. When he went to connect the
thread to the spiral at the bottom of the pyramid, a high voltage charge
(or whatever type of energy he had connected with) knocked him twenty
feet across the floor inside of the pyramid into the wall. This scared him

Perhaps even more interesting, however, is that even small states are similar to the size of countries.

Wisconsin is about the size of Malaysia, and Louisiana is comparable to the Philippines. Even Vermont, a state with a population of 626,000 people and the smallest state economy, is approximately the size of Bahrain.

There was a time about two years ago that I did not have home internet. I visited a coffee shop a few times a week an downloaded videos and read my e-mail. It really was good for me actually as I know I have some internet addiction (NO, say it ain't so hehe). Thumb drives are pretty inexpensive. It could be that YOU want a break and a good reason to exercise?

I have some concerns that people in my co-hort of "retired" take in baggage with the SS and retire meant. We Have to trick our own "mind" not to take in the memes with the funds.

Having said that, I certainly do know that you and I and all have the capacity to manifest as much funding as we will DEEPLY insist with determination to unfold. The Universe is a two way street, meaning IMO that luck is not blind chance. God (by whatever name is that consciousness that has us in her hands) will work with us to have what we choose when we get in the rhythm of knowing what we DO choose. IMO money is an energy of abundance that returns when we have a reason. People can have an over whelming reason for NO money as well.

We GIVE for love when are working passionately FOR our "cause" and the more certain we are, IMO the more we put action in and receive what is proferred. IMO this is just lawful. I get really excited about becoming more conscious of what I really DID choose.

A person has challenges if feeling pinched IMO. The confines become self fulfilling as we feel more poor. It is possible that pensions are pinch-ins when we feel in the confines of the social check. It takes some mental dancing to take the check without being checked.

Well done Fred and Modwiz..............the big connect for me is authenticity and this interaction was full of it.......I found myself chuckling, listening intensely and agreeing with many the concepts presented.

Building community can happen on both levels.............getting to know and connect with one another on a genuine and honest personal basis is key to building and bridging authenticity footings and lessening fears and doing this virtually can create courage and strength to do so with those in our circles in the material world.

Like the history of many tribes>>>>doing one's own thing to create a functional community is vital and coming together to celebrate each other and share periodically promotes the viability of healthy interconnectedness without enmeshed chaos............this is when diversity is beautiful and life enhancing IMHO.

The abilility to mature comes from one's own sense of self assurance to keep oneself emotionally, mentally and physically safe. If you don't have all 3 then like a 3 legged stool, when one gets kicked at, all three reverberate. This is where know thyself is of the utmost importance IMHO as seldom are all three legs set in stone and unmovable by someone, event or self action.

When we are "real" and strive to be authentic we are like magnets. Others curiosity is peaked to the point of avoidance ( :-) ) and or attraction...we un/knowingly enmesh our frequency with those around us. Empathic hearts are hard to turn away from unless the energy puts the fear of uncontrolled emotional responses into others.

If one leg is thrown out of whack for whatever reason we need the strength of the other two to help regain balance as soon as possible.................I agree that becoming adults is the utmost issue that needs to be tackled today for without this first being addressed and worked on, the concept of functioning communities in the future, small or large and valuing diversity, is pretty dismal to my way of thinking.

What I see and experience more than not is that many have a good handle on their mental ability to enhance intellect, know what to do to look after good health but few have a real grasp on their feelings and know or understand that their responses to life originate from the feeling level. Thus childish reactions and childhood behavior are imminent in the world at large and we need only to look on the net, and media outlets to see we are awash in uncontrolled emotions..........

n coming weeks, wildflowers will bloom in colorful profusion, carpeting the state's undulating hills and grassy valleys, especially in Southern California where the desert landscape and climate is especially suited to floral growth.

"The southern California deserts are having the finest spring bloom since the 'once in a lifetime' bloom of 2005," said Richard Minnich, a professor of geography in the Earth Sciences Department at the University of California, Riverside. "In this world of invasive grasses and mustards that outcompete our native wildflowers, this year's outstanding bloom is not only a result of heavy rainfall this winter, but also the collapse of invasive species during drought over the past 5 years."

Minnich added: "The best blooms often occur in the first wet winter following protracted drought, when there is limited interference from sparse exotic annuals."

If Mother Nature cooperates, flowers will burst into color between now and the end of March at lower elevations such as as the Coachella and Imperial Valleys and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Higher elevation locations such as Joshua Tree National Park and the Mojave Desert will reach peak bloom in April. With temperatures warming up, the bloom will likely move fast.

While the flowers reached waist-high during the spectacular bloom of 2005, Minnich suspects they'll be ankle- to knee-high in spring 2017.

Well... I figured it’s time to check the balance of my hard earned savings. Around the corner is the Bank of Hopes and Dreams. I notice there are many signs of savings and investments into that quest for freedom and utopia. While I stand in line, I grab some brochures on the many portfolio investments available.

To be sure the balance on my account of hope is rather low due to the current run of fear that has been projected most recently in the market trends. If you have invested in fear, that stock has gone through the roof lately. While you tremble in fear and wonder if you are ready, remember what goes up must come down.

To see the rise in that stock understand the market is always effected heavily on trends. The trend to send that stock soaring is the ever popular fear mongering and doomsday speculation. To adhere to this statement would set such a trend. “The Universe is so vast and we are so small, and in the blink of an eye all is gone. I guess when it comes down to it we really have no control over anything”. Is that true? I encourage you to look at this new stock that has finally hit the market with the meme “you create your own reality” as it’s trade signature.

This investment trademark is rather volatile I’m afraid. For with the rising trends of fear I would suggest taking a look at this wealth-building trade analysis. We are born of the all that is, the great I Am, we are infinite beings. Whether you choose to believe this or not, it is so.

We are much larger that anything imaginable. We are light, we are energy, we are part of everything around us. We came here to create everything we can imagine. If we imagine small, then we create small. If we imagine big, then we create big. It’s bulls vs bears in this wall street of hopes and dreams.

This stock of hope will yield in the coming years and I've decided to invest heavily into it. As I leave the Bank of Hopes and Dreams, I’m ever excited at the healthy investment I made today. I pulled funds from my savings of dreams to invest in that stock of knowing. It will support my trip down the Road with a great yield and I’m banking on that!

Now on that fork in the road, I’ll take the advise of Eric Clapton and Let it Grow.

As someone quite involved with IT — albeit that my programming days are already long behind me now, and I've never really been involved with any network-related programming or hacking — I find John McAfee's explanation insufficiently convincing, other than that it would indeed have been incredibly sloppy to use an IP address which can be tracked down to Russia. Every bit of self-respecting hacker — actually, the correct word is "cracker", because a hacker is simply someone who tinkers with code and technology — knows how to use a proxy server. In fact, most malware used in this sort of operations uses an open proxy by default.

But that said, I do firmly believe that it wouldn't have been the Russians who had hacked the DNC, simply because I don't think that the Russians would have had any interest in doing so, plus that the US government has already begun vilifying and provoking the Russians ever since the G.W. Bush administration, and the Obama/Clinton clan has only been escalating this vilification and provocation.

The original Cold War ended somewhere in the early 1990s, when Gorbachev and Yeltsin — for reasons of their own — dissolved the Soviet Union, leading to the birth of the Russian Federation as it exists today. And it remained nothing more than a black page in history until the G.W. Bush administration. From then on, hostilities toward and allegations about the Russians kept on coming back into the mainstream news at an accelerating pace. It started with Dubya announcing a rocket shield on European soil, and then with the US intervention in Georgia.

Then under Obama, a new Cold War was initiated, using CIA infiltration, pro-western activism by John McCain and John Kerry, and the secret deployment of Blackwater mercenaries as the fuse to Ukraine's civil war. Near the end of the Obama administration, Russia had become depicted as a major threat to the USA again, just as during the first Cold War. And yet, the Russians have not engaged in any hostility toward the USA. It has so far always been the other way around.

The Cabal is desperate to start World War III, or at the very least, a nuclear exchange between the USA and Russia. And never has it been more obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes in their skull. The Cabal's hubris and arrogance have now taken on such huge proportions that they don't even care anymore that people with an IQ above 100 can see through the lies and the manipulation, and that's probably because that very same Cabal is absolutely convinced that they'll succeed in getting what they're bargaining for.

And if they don't, while at the same time nobody stands up and calls them out for what they are, then that would be the ultimate irrefutable evidence of how stupid the western population has become, and then that in itself will certainly come in handy for their other criminal plans.

Come on guys, it isn't really all that difficult. 65% of the USA's gross national income goes to the military-industrial complex. And what makes the military-industrial complex happy? Exactly: war. Without war, there wouldn't be any incentive for the US government to spend that large a section of the US taxpayer's money on the military-industrial complex. War is good for business.

The USA has already been perpetually at war since the middle of the 20th century, with each of those wars being fought outside of the USA itself. In fact, the US Marine Corps is an elite military contingent which is specifically intended to never operate on US soil. Their role is to fight Acronymia's wars inside other countries. And now you've also got the privatized military — in the form of Blackwater and other mercenary corporations — which offers the advantage that the US government can disclaim any knowledge of or involvement in their operations.

Here's what I would say to the CIA, the DHS, the NSA and all those other alphabet soup agencies: Put about half of that taxpayer money that you're now spending on the military-industrial complex back into the education department, and then go back to school yourselves, so that your evil plans wouldn't be so obvious and transparent that they're insulting my intelligence.

"Generations of American children have learned the apocryphal tale of young George Washington, bravely admitting to his father that he chopped down the cherry tree. The story sprang from a culture that wanted even its fables to serve the ideal of truth. By that standard, the House Intelligence Committee hearing on March 20 should have been a massive humiliation for the President, who followed Washington 228 years later. It is rare for such hearings to be unclassified--and thus televised--but FBI Director James Comey found the largest possible audience for his rebuke of the sitting President.

He had given Donald Trump nearly three weeks to walk back his incendiary tweets accusing President Obama of "wire tapping" Trump Tower during the campaign. If such surveillance had been done through legal channels, the FBI would have known; if done illegally, it was a scandal of historic proportions and the FBI should be digging into it. Either way, Trump's accusation implicated the integrity of Comey's bureau, which is why the former prosecutor felt compelled to push back as the cameras rolled. "I have no information that supports those tweets," Comey said. "We have looked carefully inside the FBI. The Department of Justice has asked me to share with you that the answer is the same."

The statement was concise, direct and damning. The President of the United States had been marked as a fabulist by one of the top officials in government charged with finding the truth. And yet, for the man being called out, the rebuke was nothing of the sort.

"I'm a very instinctual person, but my instinct turns out to be right," Trump told TIME two days later, in a 20-minute phone interview from the Oval Office. The testimony, in other words, had not fazed him at all. He was still convinced he would be proved right. "I have articles saying it happened."

That is not exactly true. The New York Times reported on Jan. 20 that wiretapped data had been used in an investigation of Trump's advisers, but not that Obama had targeted Trump for wiretapping, as Trump had claimed. But he had new ammunition: House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes had just announced that he had seen intelligence reports showing the President-elect and his team were "at least monitored" as part of "legally collected" information. Nunes suggested the monitoring was most likely the result of "incidental collection," which occurs when a target of an intelligence operation, like a foreign ambassador, talks with another U.S. person. But Nunes never claimed that Obama wiretapped Trump.

And yet for Trump, who proceeded to read at length over the phone from a Politico article on Nunes' statement, such distinctions did not matter. "That means I'm right," he said. He also argued that the punctuation in his original tweet meant he did not mean wiretapping in the literal sense. "When I said 'wire tapping,' it was in quotes," he said.

What did he mean? Trump argued that his claims about scandalous wiretaps by Obama had to be viewed within the context of other assertions he had made in the past, which had later come true. He had predicted, for instance, that the sexting of former Representative Anthony Weiner would become a problem for Hillary Clinton's campaign, which it did, when the FBI found emails to Clinton on his computer. He had claimed that he would win the White House, when few believed him, which he did. He claimed that Britain would vote to exit the European Union--"I took a lot of heat when I said Brexit was going to pass." He described Brussels as a "hellhole" before a major terrorist attack there. "I happen to be a person that knows how life works," he said.

He also claimed credit for things he had said that were factually incorrect at the time, but for which he later found evidence. At a February rally, in a discussion about problems caused by new migrants in Europe, he said, "Look at what's happening last night in Sweden." Nothing had happened the prior night in Sweden, prompting diplomatic protests from Stockholm. But days later, there was a riot in a predominantly immigrant suburb in response to a local arrest. Which, to the President's way of thinking, made him a truth-teller. "I was right about that," he said.

Truth, in other words, takes time to ripen: he also said his unsubstantiated claim that at least 3 million undocumented immigrants had voted illegally in the 2016 election would be proved right eventually, though he hinted to TIME that he no longer stood by all parts of that claim. "When I say that, I mean mostly they register wrong. In other words, for the votes, they register incorrectly, and/or illegally," the President said. "I'm forming a committee on it."

The more the conversation continued, the more the binary distinctions between truth and falsehood blurred, the telltale sign of a veteran and strategic misleader who knows enough to leave himself an escape route when he tosses a bomb. Rather than assert things outright, he often couches provocative statements as "beliefs," or attributes them to unnamed "very smart people." During the campaign, he claimed falsely that Texas Senator Ted Cruz's father had consorted with the assassin who killed John F. Kennedy. Now as President, Trump argued that he had done nothing wrong by spreading the fiction, since it had been printed in the National Enquirer, a tabloid famous for its unconventional editorial standards.

"Why do you say that I have to apologize?" he asked. "I am just quoting the newspaper." He appeared to do it again, when he repeated the accusation of a Fox News contributor, Andrew Napolitano, who claimed his network was told by three former intelligence officials that Obama had asked the British to surveil Trump's campaign. Fox News repudiated the claim, the pundit vanished from the airwaves, the British called the accusation "ridiculous," and the head of the U.S. National Security Agency said it would not have happened under his watch. And yet Trump did not back down. "I have a lot of respect for Judge Napolitano," he said. "I don't know where he has gone with it since then."

Trump has in this way brought to the Oval Office an entirely different set of assumptions about the proper behavior of a public official, and introduced to the country entirely new rules for public debate. In some ways, it is not surprising. For years, we have known Trump colored outside the lines of what was actually real because he told us. As a businessman, Trump wrote in praise of strategic falsehood, or "truthful hyperbole," as he preferred to call it. Sometimes his whoppers were clumsy, the apparent result of being ill informed or promiscuous in his sources. Sometimes he exaggerated to get a rise out of his audience. But often Trump's untruths give every sign of being deliberate and thought through. Trump recently bragged about a drop in the Labor Department jobless rate--after calling the same statistic "phony" when it signaled improvement under Obama. Trump explained the contradiction through his spokesman with a quip: "They may have been phony in the past, but it's very real now."

Through it all, he has presented himself as the last honest man, and among his fervent supporters, he hits notes that harmonize with the facts of their lives as they deeply feel them. To beat a polygraph, it's said you should make some part of your brain believe what you are saying. Friends of Trump report that the President would pass with flying colors. He tells them privately that he believes the things he tweets in public. Despite the luxury and ease of his own life, he seems genuine in his belief that the system is rigged, and that life is a zero-sum game: no one wins without someone else losing. Reality, for the reality-show mogul, is something to be invented episode by episode.

And what reality is Trump creating? He entered national politics in 2011 peddling the incredible theory that Obama might have been born in Africa--and therefore constitutionally barred from the presidency. In those days Trump was widely dismissed as a reckless self-promoter, though he clung to his story for five years, using it to get television bookings and newspaper coverage, before surrendering it with a shrug. Looking back, it's striking to see a future President testing the waters by charging the elected incumbent with fraud and illegitimacy without introducing a shred of evidence.

That was a fitting warm-up for Trump's official entry into the 2016 campaign. The Mexican government, he alleged, is deliberately dumping its hoodlums in the U.S. Later that year, he answered the Paris terrorist attacks by claiming, without substantiation, that he had seen "thousands and thousands of people" celebrating in New Jersey as the Twin Towers smoldered on 9/11 on television. (No footage is known to exist.)

Trump's alternative reality is dark, divisive and pessimistic, and it tends to position him and his supporters as heroic victims of injustice. Despite this--or maybe because of it--his reckless assertions are weapons that often work. He commandeers the traditional news cycle and makes visceral connections with voters. By taking on Obama over his birth certificate, Trump charmed a right-wing constituency and ratcheted himself to the level of White House--ready. By scorning good manners to attack border crossers and Muslims, Trump showed solidarity with the politically incorrect and advertised his iconoclasm. By flouting fact-checkers and making journalists his enemy, he is driving home the theme that his turbulent presidency is a struggle to the death with a despised Washington elite.

Trump has discovered something about epistemology in the 21st century. The truth may be real, but falsehood often works better. It is for this same reason that Russia deployed paid Internet trolls in the 2016 campaign, according to U.S. investigators, repeatedly promoting lies on U.S. social networks to muddy the debate. In the radical democracy of social media, even the retweets of outraged truth squadders has the effect of rebroadcasting false messages. Controversy elevates message. And it keeps the President on offense.

If the fable of President Trump is ever written, young Donald might say to his father: I'm not gonna lie to you, Dad. The tree has been chopped--smart people say maybe by illegal immigrants or Muslims. There are some bad hombres. Anyway, it's gone, and I'm gonna build something truly terrific on this parcel.

"These big falsehoods are different," explains Bill Adair, who created PolitiFact, the fact-checking journalistic site that won a Pulitzer Prize. "They are like a neutron bomb. They just take over the discussion and obliterate a lot of other things that we should be discussing."

Since winning the White House, Trump has employed this weapon at specific times, often when he is losing control of the national story line. He pulled the trigger on Nov. 27, a day after Clinton's vanquished campaign agreed to join in a recount of votes in Wisconsin. Over the course of that day, Trump sent out 11 tweets, averaging 18,440 retweets, expressing his outrage over the situation. But the two most widely read and shared, by wide margins, were the false ones.

His incorrect claim that he had won the popular vote "if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally" was retweeted more than 53,000 times. His unsupported allegation of "serious voter fraud" in three states that he lost was forwarded more than 31,000 times. The virtual world far prefers the outrageous, the new, the controversial to the normal routine of reason and verification. And so does the world of news. Television and print reporters rushed to examine the President-elect's sensational statements, thus spreading them further. In the dog-eat-dog world of Donald Trump, Clinton had taken the first swing, and he was justified in fighting back with the full force of the Internet.

TIME reviewed the 298 tweets Trump has sent since being elected President as of March 21. Fifteen included clear falsehoods, like the wiretap claims. The false messages were retweeted an average of 28,550 times. Those that were not clearly false were retweeted on average 23,945 times. The viral effect of falsehood being repeated on the news was many times more pronounced. According to a search through the Internet Archive, a nonprofit library database, the false tweets were quoted on television an average of 31 times, more than twice as often as other tweets.

For Trump's allies, this is a measure of strategic brilliance, not defective character. "He understands how to make something an issue and elevate the discussion by saying things that are contrary, perhaps even unproved," explains Roger Stone, a former adviser to Trump, who has his own penchant for spreading false conspiracy theories. "He has the ability to change the subject to what he wants to talk about."

The night before his wiretap maneuver had been a trying one for Trump's young White House, according to aides. It was a Friday, and the President was frustrated that his widely praised address to Congress on Tuesday had been overtaken by darker news. Revelations of previously denied contacts between Attorney General Jeff Sessions and a Russian official had led Sessions to recuse himself from any probe of Russian election interference. The LexisNexis database registered 509 stories or news transcripts referring to some aspect of the story.

Aides later said Trump latched on to an online article by a conservative talk-show host, who assembled previously published media reports into a speculative indictment of Obama. Whether Trump was persuaded by the theory or simply looking for something explosive to change the story line, he knew he had found dynamite. "There is one page in the Trump White House crisis-management playbook," argued Obama's former White House spokesman Josh Earnest two days later. "And that is simply to tweet or say something outrageous to distract from a scandal." It worked. His tweet replaced the Russian story at the top of the news, generating 514 stories that Sunday.

Trump is by no means the first to use diversion and distortion as a political weapon. During the 2016 Brexit debate in Great Britain, critics of the E.U. exaggerated the cost of E.U. membership to average Britons by roughly 100%. The ensuing argument over the correct amount served to focus resentment that citizens were paying anything at all.

Democrats have been caught playing the game. Former Senate leader Harry Reid floated the false claim that Mitt Romney did not pay taxes, without any evidence. And in both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, the Obama campaign suggested that Republican nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney opposed abortion even in cases of rape and incest. They did not, but the misdirection tilted the abortion debate toward an issue favorable to most Democrats.

Trump took this occasional tool and made it a favorite weapon. "The President has a history of being a negotiator," explains Christopher Ruddy, a longtime friend of Trump's, who continues to meet with him in Florida. "If I look back, I think he is always in a state of negotiation with everybody, all the time. He takes an exaggerated position to create a new middle ground. He moves the goalposts to force other people to move."

And he is able to withstand tremendous derision over his untruthfulness. A man who has cheerfully discussed intimate details of his private life on the air with Howard Stern, a man who mugs and poses at professional-wrestling bouts, a man who encouraged the coverage of his own affair in the New York tabloids is not overburdened by a sense of shame. This has proved to be an advantage over politicians who fear the embarrassment of being caught in a lie.

That fear has been documented by political scientists. During the 2012 election season, two researchers randomly divided 1,169 state legislators from nine states into three groups. One group received letters warning that they were being monitored for falsehood by PolitiFact, and that any false statements would soil their reputations and risk defeat. The second group was sent letters saying their statements were being monitored--but with no explicit warning of consequences. The third group wasn't contacted at all.

Group A--the ones who were warned of consequences--proved to be more cautious about the truth. They had their accuracy questioned at less than half the rate of the other groups. "Politicians typically care not just how the public cares about them but about how elites care about them," explained Dartmouth's Brendan Nyhan, one of the authors of the study. "Trump doesn't care." Indeed, even exit polls on Election Day found that 65% of voters--including 28% of his own voters--said that he isn't "honest and trustworthy." Yet that hasn't stopped his rise.

The question now is this: Can this same strategy work for a President of the United States? The credibility Trump toys with is no longer just his own. For generations, the world has looked to American leadership in times of crises, one grounded in an historic fidelity to basic facts and a sobriety of rhetoric. What does it mean if the President now needs to use that credibility to rally support in a new confrontation with North Korea? Will the world have time or patience to consider which words he has put air quotes around?

The conservative editorial page of the Wall Street Journal had raised the question on the same morning Trump called TIME, with a biting condemnation of Trump's falsehoods. The article compared the President to a drunk, clinging "to an empty gin bottle" of fabrication. Trump had read the piece, and he did not approve. "The country's not buying it. It is fake media," he said of the Journal. "The country believes me. Hey, I went to Kentucky two nights ago. We had 25,000 people."

It is true that Trump has many supporters. One possibility is that this shift in behavior at the top will lead to an increased skepticism among the voters and politicians on whom Trump depends. Reams of social science long ago established that partisans tend to unconsciously overlook falsehoods that come from their own team, while being outraged by the errors of their enemies. But Trump's excesses are exasperating even his fellow Republicans. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has stepped up his warnings about Trump's tweeting, telling one conservative outlet that it "takes attention away" from his party's accomplishments. Trump isn't moved. "Mitch is a wonderful man," the President told TIME. "Mitch will speak for himself."

But other Republican members of Congress have become more bold in voicing their concerns. "There's a lot of distractions," agrees Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas, whose state gave Trump 56% of its votes. "I just would say that truth is foundational. It's important in public life, and all of us need to do what we can to tell it the way the facts are." Representative Carlos Curbelo of Florida agrees: "The White House and the President have to understand that there's a cost to all of this. This country needs a government that it can trust."

Ultimately, democracy needs facts to allow for public debate and provide a check on abuses of power. "Truth has a despotic character," philosopher Hannah Arendt wrote in a 1968 essay on the subject. "It is therefore hated by tyrants who rightly fear the competition of a coercive force they cannot monopolize." Although Trump is a tyrant only in the minds of his most fevered critics, he often talks like one. "Any negative polls are fake news," he tweeted in his third week on the job. The Gallup daily tracking poll of Trump's approval fell below 40% after the release of his Obamacare replacement bill.

With time, Trump may find he has committed himself to a strategy that will deteriorate with reuse, because with each passing month the American people will be gathering their own data on his habits and tactics, and what they yield. They will decide whether it's true, as Trump has promised, that health care costs are lower and everyone has wonderful insurance. They will fact-check his pledge of millions of new manufacturing jobs. They will see whether their incomes rise and their taxes fall, whether Mexico pays for a giant wall. "In the end, Presidents aren't allowed to get away with excuses," explains Bill Galston, a presidential scholar who worked in the Clinton White House. "They pay a price for the promises they make." This is a truth that no one yet has been able to tweet away.

Before he got off the phone, I tried one more time to get Trump to answer a question about the risk to his reputation caused by false and ever changing utterances. Once again, he would not accept the premise. "Hey, look," he said. "I can't be doing so badly, because I'm President and you're not." As a factual matter, the last part of this statement is indisputably true. And with that, he graciously said goodbye and went back to running the affairs of the most powerful country in the world."

I saw a young man at a festival a couple years ago accompanied by, perhaps, his mother. He had a very tall skull. His hair was styled in a cut where it stood up straight over his head but it wasn't very thick and I could see how most of the space that would normally be taken up with hair was his skull. He was a young teen probably and looked 'normal' aside from the extraordinary skull.

this whole "alternative community" is a business like any other. You've got celebrities, you've got storytellers, you've got information brokers and marketeers,

Some in the alternative community are seeming to be in a fairly niche busy ness yes and in competition too with others for a space on the platform. They are selling their ideas and spending their time impressing an audience with their views. They are writing and speaking and getting "followers" and getting more "famous". I think most believe in what they espousing and where woowoo has to be a little extraordinary, are they prone to embellish and distort? If TOO mundane but "worthy", will they be heard.

IF they are selling out to buy in, its really their loss. It really isn't our loss IMO IF we try them out.
I know that many have already traversed the trails of woowoo. But many have yet to start. IMO usually, you just need to try out the "spokes people" about three times. When the same almost word for word speech or the same sort of yuckish "intention" gets repeated or SOMETHING, THERE will be a clue that it is not very original or very inspired.

Lisa Renee wrote a piece about the game. It is a two edged sword to desire to "inspire". I myself NEED inspiration because it is kind of a mental food. It is like a re-iteration that just because I am a little eccentric in my interests, I am not completely daft.

I can imagine that there is a really thin line between "teaching" an being an inspiration, maybe even a small one, limited in time, adding a piece then going on with one's life and the inflatedness of the "consciousness" circuit. The road show needing to "make a living" and craving audience views etc. just looks obviously capable of corrupting.


Over the years I have seen many good hearted people, speakers or presenters in the Ascension community, the Ufology or Consciousness field fall into the 3D material traps that are set up by the old decrepit egoic thought forms that are prevalent in those who have not discerned the differences between the negative ego thinking and the higher self thinking. I observe Whistleblowers and Starseeds filled with 3D egoic spiritual ambition that are completely unaware of the material traps, consciousness blockages and mind control that are set up for truth seekers on the earth, and they walk right into the vipers den caught unaware. They naively still believe that they can use the 3D system formulas to get their work accomplished and spread their consciousness message into the world on social media. It is important to say to all of those good hearted people on the ascension circuit, who are not paid as infiltrators to the truth movement, or on the payroll of the intelligence agencies, that there is no real support for this ascension work in the larger media, period. You have to accept that fact going in, that this field is totally targeted and controlled in every way possible. If you choose to be in this field, you will work harder than you can imagine, most of the time without any acknowledgment or support, enduring defamation of your character and a stream of unstable and possessed people to harass you. Currently, this full scale attack against the truth movement is increasing rapidly through the media censure, as well as electronically targeting people. In stopping the repeal of President Barack Obama’s proudest legacy — the Republican Party’s professed priority for the last seven years — from even coming to a vote, the rebellious far right wing out-rebelled Mr. Trump, taking on and defeating the party establishment with which it has long been at war and which he now leads.

Like every one else who has tried to rule a fissured and fractious party, Mr. Trump now faces a wrenching choice: retrenchment or realignment.

Does he cede power to the anti-establishment wing of his party? Or does he seek other pathways to successful governing by throwing away the partisan playbook and courting a coalition with the Democrats, whom he has improbably blamed for his party’s shortcomings?

“I think he did a lot — he met with dozens and dozens of members and made a lot of accommodations — but in the end, there’s a group of people in this party who just won’t say yes,” Mr. Cole said. “At some point, I think that means looking beyond our conference. The president is a deal maker, and Ronald Reagan cut some of his most important deals with Democrats.”

Mr. Trump is not there yet. Before becoming a presidential candidate, he seemed to have little fixed ideology. But as president, he has operated from the standard-issue Republican playbook, embracing many of the positions of Speaker Paul D. Ryan and the party establishment. While he is angry and thirsty for revenge, he seems determined to swallow the loss in hopes of marshaling enough Republican support to pass spending bills, an as-yet unformed tax overhaul and a $1 trillion infrastructure package — legislation that could attract considerable Democratic support but has the potential to split the party.

On Friday evening, a somewhat shellshocked president retreated to the White House residence to grieve and assign blame. In a search for scapegoats, he asked his advisers repeatedly: Whose fault was this?

Increasingly, that blame has fallen on Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff, who coordinated initial legislative strategy on the health care bill with Mr. Ryan, his close friend and a fellow Wisconsinite, according to three people briefed on the president’s recent discussions.

Despite the public displays of unity with the speaker, Mr. Trump and his team now regret outsourcing so much of the early drafting to Mr. Ryan. One aide compared doing that to a developer’s staking everything on obtaining a property without conducting a thorough inspection. And they were stunned by his inability to master the politics of his own conference.

Mr. Trump, an image-obsessed developer with a lifelong indifference toward the mechanics of governance, made a game effort to negotiate with members of the far-right Freedom Caucus, even if it seemed to some members of that group, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, that he did not have the greatest grasp of health care policy or legislative procedure.

He told one adviser late Friday that his loss — a legislative debacle foreshadowed by the intraparty fight that led to the 2013 government shutdown — was a minor bump in the road and that the White House would recover.

In an interview with The New York Times on Friday, Mr. Trump asserted that the administration was “rocking.” The problem, he suggested, was divisions among Republicans.

There are “a lot of players, a lot of players with a very different mind-set,” Mr. Trump said. “You have liberals, even within the Republican Party. You have the conservative players.”

But his advisers were more realistic. Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, according to people familiar with White House discussions, described the president’s decision to withdraw the health care bill in the face of its almost-certain defeat as a flat-out failure that could inflict serious damage on this presidency — even if Mr. Bannon believes Congress, not Mr. Trump, deserves much of the blame.

Mr. Bannon and the president’s more soft-spoken legislative affairs director, Marc Short, pushed Mr. Trump hard to insist on a public vote, as a way to identify, shame and pressure “no” voters who were killing their best chance to unravel the health care law.

One Republican congressional aide who was involved in the last-minute negotiations said Mr. Bannon and Mr. Short were seeking to compile an enemies list. Mr. Ryan repeatedly counseled the president to avoid seeking vengeance — at least until he has passed spending bills and a debt-ceiling increase needed to keep the government running. In the end, the president decided to back down.

But Mr. Trump’s advisers worry about the hard reality — the developer with the tough-guy veneer was steamrollered by factions in the Republican Congress.

As the dust settled on the health care debacle, it was clear that Mr. Trump’s lieutenants in the Republican civil war had been divided on how they thought the health care fight should have been handled, which does not augur well for the political battles to come.

Mutual disgust with the Freedom Caucus seems to be pulling Mr. Ryan and, despite his misgivings, Mr. Trump, together, at least for now — just as it briefly united President Barack Obama and John A. Boehner, Mr. Ryan’s long-suffering predecessor, during their doomed effort to reach a “grand bargain” on a tax overhaul in 2011.

Until the very end, Mr. Trump’s team was deeply divided over whether he should fully commit to a hard sell on a bill they viewed as fundamentally flawed, with Vice President Mike Pence pointedly advising the president to label the effort “Ryancare,” not “Trumpcare,” according to aides.

Many on Mr. Trump’s team disengaged from the process even as he dug in. Gary D. Cohn, Mr. Trump’s top economic adviser, had originally been tasked with playing a large role in shepherding the legislation from the White House side. But Mr. Cohn had grown leery of the bill, and the White House recognized that Mr. Cohn, a former president of Goldman Sachs and a Democrat, was not a good messenger to deal with recalcitrant conservatives.

Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, a key adviser, had said for weeks that he thought supporting the bill was a mistake, according to two people who spoke with him. But he was on a family skiing trip in Aspen, Colo., last week, and did not return to Washington until Friday — much to the annoyance of Mr. Trump, who thought he should have been in Washington in the whole week, according to two Republicans close to the White House.

But Mr. Trump brushed aside those concerns in the last few days and embraced the conventional role as leader of his party. He has one speed when he decides to shift to sales mode, aides said, and he had trouble modulating his tone, issuing cringe-inducing superlatives like “wonderful” to describe an ungainly bill his aides described as anything but.

After it was all over, the president dutifully blamed the Democrats, a party out of power and largely leaderless, after turning his back on their offers to negotiate on a bipartisan package that would have addressed shortcomings in the Affordable Care Act while preserving its core protections for poor and working-class patients.

Aides advised him the argument was nonsensical, according to a person with knowledge of the interaction.

For Mr. Trump’s Republican opponents, here was revenge served cold. As a candidate in 2016, he initially scoffed at signing a Republican loyalty pledge, at times behaving more like an independent invading the Republican host organism than like a typical presidential candidate.

As president, Mr. Trump has left dozens of critical administration jobs unfilled, rejecting stalwart Republican applicants deemed insufficiently loyal to him — and now he is decrying the disloyalty of the 20 to 30 conservative members who outmaneuvered and overpowered him on health care.

“We all learned a lot — we learned a lot about loyalty,” a solemn Mr. Trump told reporters late Friday.

The dynamic that led to his defeat is bigger than Mr. Trump, despite his tendency to personalize every win or loss. Republicans who gained power by savaging Washington are in full control and cannot agree on a path forward.

“We were a 10-year opposition party,” Mr. Ryan said in assessing the defeat late Friday. “Being against things was easy to do.”

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Trump supporter, said after the health bill was pulled that he was “getting some déjà vu right now.”

“Do you think Donald J. Trump goes home tonight, shrugs and says, ‘This is what winning looks like’?” Mr. Gingrich added. “No! But this is where the Republican Party is right now, and it’s been this way for years.”

But Mr. Trump put on his best face on Saturday morning. “ObamaCare will explode and we will all get together and piece together a great healthcare plan for THE PEOPLE,” he said on Twitter. “Do not worry!”"

Border wall funding likely to be put on hold

"President Trump's funding request for a border wall will likely be put on hold, Senate Republican leaders signaled Tuesday.

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), a senior member of the Appropriations Committee, announced at a leadership press conference that Trump's supplemental funding request will wait until later in the year.

He said the Senate and House leadership are very close to negotiating a bill to fund government for the rest of 2017.

Adding a supplemental spending bill requested by Trump to pay for military activities and a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border would complicate the talks and should be dealt with at a later date, Blunt added.

"We have the FY17 defense bill," Blunt said, noting it is the top priority of Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and could be used as a vehicle to pass bills funding other federal departments.

"All of the committees, House and Senate leaderships, are working together to try to finalize the rest of the FY17 bill," he added. "My guess is that comes together better without the supplemental."

Blunt said the supplemental could be dealt with “at a later time.”

Government funding is due to expire April 28. Lawmakers have expressed concern about a potential government shutdown over the inclusion of money for Trump's controversial proposal to build a wall.

Trump requested that money to begin construction of the wall be included along with military funding in a supplemental spending bill."

Great point, it took 6 years for the last administration to pass the last budget (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/may/5/senate-clears-way-final-passage-congress-budget/). so who knows if/when this will go through the house / senate successfully.

Hell of a greeting, I take it your a preemptive strike type of guy; I don't really know what your talking about and I'm sorry you feel that way. I've never felt discussing ideas was an adversarial ordeal, but everyone has their own perspective on things. (AND when an idea (just a concept mind you) is challenged and these types of emotions arise... self reflection is in order, IMO).

If you think I'm bill's puppet, well, gotta love those snap decisions and mental short cuts; very human of you. I'll hang out in your pigeon hole as long as you want me to. I was considering jumping in on you and Modwiz's video productions, I really like that idea; but I thought it was about comradery and people that actually do things. Tell me now if you want me to aim my motivation/efforts else where, I'm not a drama seeker; I AM a doer.
