In the pre-dawn darkness of the equinox, you enter the single, small door of this ancient burial chamber. You walk down the 21-meter passage until it widens into a chamber in front of you. Suddenly, the first rays of sun strike the doorway, and the whole chamber is illuminated. In those brief few minutes of light, you could be sharing in a ritual of life and death first imagined around 4200 BC.

This enormous structure is the Soto dolmen in Trigueros, Spain, which has been returned to its prehistoric glory after a nine-year restoration. The mound is 60 metres across and 3.5 metres high, making it the largest of more than 200 dolmens, or megalithic tombs, that dot the Huelva province.

The stones that support the Soto dolmen's interior were originally arranged as a Neolithic stone circle similar to Stonehenge, before being repurposed in this structure. When Don Armando de Soto uncovered it in 1922, he found eight bodies inside, posed in crouching positions near the wall and surrounded by stone utensils, pottery and decorative items.

Nice find skywizard !

Spiral there are a number of places called Trigueros ......Trigueros, Huelva, Spain, Its west of Sevilla and north a little of Huelva in Andalucia.
Havent been there myself but certainly looks magical .

I n the vid Spiral, its interesting to note that the main structural stone pillars are of a number of different types of stone with out apparent reason apart from being perhaps what was available, also to note was the complete avoidance of any explanation of how it was built , these stones are common in the area and can weigh between 2 to 12 tone, depending but no mention of the exact types ,,,,,,,,, the constellation that is portrayed near the end of the vid is called 'ursa mayor' , It make you wonder if dolmens and the like, with a road map, are like space graffiti saying 'we were here'.1999 lol.
The main research was sponsored by the owner of the property starting from when it was discovered in 1923 now you can see the local and state government have done a rehab in typical touristic manor , but have restructured and helped to conserve the monument .

The 5 meter radios of the structure was referring to a complex drainage system discovered , installed using slate crystal quartz there are a few other shapes there that haven't any description nor clear intention .

The suggestion of the commentary that all pillars are simple tomb stones or symbolic to local persons in the community at the time. Thats hard to chew!
These are not normally so big but there are a few larger ones around Spain, Antequera , has another Dolmen structure fairly large but completely different but there are probably hundreds of smaller structures of these types around the country.

In my op.They were probably built for reasons that are very profound energetic motive. Also stories of giants are not un heard of in surrounding areas of Dolmens.

The whole mound is suggestive of a flying saucer.

Ooops my bad, I looked it up on wikipeedia & ended up at the wrong one !

You are right its between Faro (Portugal) & Seville (Spain) & is not far from the (South) coast, meaning its easy to get to on a low cost flight.
