Do you mean Gurdjieff? Where does this come from?

I searched him and found a piece containing some of his aphorisms:

Humanity is the earth’s nerve-endings through which planetary vibrations are
received for transmission.

Practice love on animals first; they react better and more sensitively.

He who has got rid of the disease ‘Tomorrow’ has the possibility to attain what he is here for.

Mr. Self-love and Madame Vanity are the two chief agents of the devil.

We never reach the limits of our strength.

For some people religion is useful but for others it is only a policeman.

We are sheep kept to provide wool for our masters who feed us and keep us as slaves of illusion. But we have a chance of escape and our masters are anxious to help us, but we like being sheep. It is comfortable.:holysheep:

This might be the oldest 'sheeple' quote I've seen.

In Dutch we call these kind of aphorisms 'kicking in an open door'.

Here are some more:

- Mankind has the unique ability to ignore the obvious.

- Never Test the Depth of Water With Both Feet

- Timing is Essential for the Outcome of a Rain Dance.

- For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.

- Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

- Different environments, require different solutions - with appropriate manifestations.

- In the general course of human nature, a power over a man's subsistence amounts to a power over his will.

- Tomorrow is a Different Day

'Kicking in an open door'. Nice phrase. I think I'll use it.

The second and third had me laughing out loud. The fifth I know and like very much.

"Different environments require different solutions - with appropriate manifestations." I've heard this, but missing the last part. It's better with it.

Tomorrow is another day...;)

This is not from the sentences of Mr. G. it's from me.

"You can never awaken by using any kind of forum, never."

but it could be from G. when he had known the days of internet.

An open space for public discussion will bring both awake and ignorant. Many will speak. Some will be listened to. Some who are listened to will be wise. Some won't.

Should we go to or avoid forums? We don't really have the public square anymore - you have to get permits to protest. People don't gather like they used to. You can go to Historic Williamsburg and watch a reenactment of such things.

We have internet forums. Some have more worthwhile voices than others. And we are, fortunately, able to choose.:h5::interview::argue::flag::ht::yoda:'diff icult to find, good form, on a forum'

Here are some others I like:

- Paranoia is knowing all the facts and noticing you seem to be the only one.

- When you hang out with writers, you’ll end up in books.

- Old People Are Young People Who've Been Around For a Very Long Time.

- Those Who Mind Don't Matter & Those Who Matter Don't Mind

- Being Able To Hide Your Thoughts is One of the Most Important Virtues of a Civilized Person.

- The Law is like the Bible; somewhere in the books, there’s always a quote to contradict the other.

- You are master over the words you did not speak and a slave of the things you say

Outlander, I can SO relate to the third. We're going on a trip and had to provide recent photos which we took. They were nice. My husband said to me, "I like the pictures you selected. I didn't know I looked so old." I laughed. I had kinda thought the same thing about mine.:omg:;)

I listened to a couple of interviews on LegalizeFreedom1 of Dr Rory Mac Sweeney discussing lucid dreaming. The shows begin with the speech Morpheus gives to Neo before offering the pills.

Later in the show, they discussed various products available to help induce lucid dreaming. Among them, a supplement which has a blue pill and a red pill. You take them at different times relative to the sleep cycle.

Being awake in this life is not unlike being awake in a dream. You can have some control over the narrative.
