Do you like The Venus Project? (Talk about it!)
Do you like UBUNTU Contributionism? (Join a movement in your country!)
Do you like being a sharing, compassionate person?
Do you hate what you see out there and want the world to be a better place?

Then, live it.

Live as if it is already happening. By doing so, we create the world we want to live in.

Live the world you wish to see.

Here are some ideas off the top of my head.

→These ideas may not be for everyone!←

■ Contribute your time, energy and/or services freely to worthy causes.

■ Give away what you don't need.

■ Grow your own food. Share surplus with your neighbours.

http://alpinedailyplanet.typepad.com/.a/6a0133f2e9fdbf970b019aff6afbe6970d-800wi

■ If you haven't a garden, join a community garden.

http://kgi.org/sites/default/files/100_6469.JPG

■ Sprout your own food.

■ Buy healthy food and eat raw as often as possible.

■ Avoid GMOs. Eat organic as often as possible (watch the codes).

http://i1.minus.com/jG8y8iy4ZxleT.png

■ Avoid white sugar, Canola oil, margarine, high fructose corn syrup, carbonated beverages, MSG (often disguised as 'natural flavour'), artificial sweeteners (like Aspartame, Splenda, and Neotame), alcohol, caffeine, black teas (fluoride), processed foods, preservatives, white flour (bleached), wheat (not ancient grain khorasan), additives including 'vitamins' and 'minerals' (find bio-available/organic sources and add them yourself so you know what you're getting or eat raw fruits and veggies), table salt (and limit all other salt), etc.

■ Drink pure water. Distill your own.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yIyhGDlA5GE/TxdDcKGoFOI/AAAAAAAAAaY/XKAQopGnUbM/s1600/DSC00494.JPG

■ Go vegan. If this isn't for you, at least cut back on meat and animal products.

http://www.nonviolenceunited.org/images/vegan/vegan_shirtlogo_large.gif

■ Avoid eating/using products with animal ingredients and/or tested on animals.

■ Keep yourself healthy. If you require help, seek out holistic practitioners.

https://mrrecker.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/yea.jpg

■ Avoid prescription drugs as best as you can.

■ Avoid vaccinations and flu shots.

■ Get rid of your amalgam (mercury) fillings.

■ Avoid toxins/poisons (like fluoride and parabens) in regular household products.

■ Use fluoride-free toothpaste or brush with baking soda.

http://images.iherb.com/l/RTC-10570-1.jpg

■ Get by with as little as possible. Buy second hand. The less money you use, the less you support the current, corrupt system that requires you to be a consumer and a slave. The less you need, the less dependent you are.

■ Stop buying products or engaging in activities that directly supports the 'Illuminati'/Cabal (the military industrial complex).

http://illuminatisymbols.info/wp-content/uploads/illuminatisymbols-logo.jpg

■ Stop using a cell phone! If you can't do that, at least cut back on usage. Don't let them track you, spy on you, and otherwise irradiate you.

■ Get a landline. Stop using wireless devices -- go back to wires!

http://www.pc1news.com/images/2011/wifi-direct.gif

■ Don't buy anything 'Smart'.

►http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2950081/It-s-not-just-smart-TVs-home-gadgets-spy-internet-giants-collecting-personal-data-high-tech-devices.html

■ Avoid being part of the 'Internet of Things'.

■ Hold on to your analog meter -- don't get a Smart Meter. Avoid exposure to dangerous non-ionizing, non-thermal, pulsed radiation. If you have a Smart Meter, shield it.

http://cdn.instructables.com/F2M/A9UU/H54088RX/F2MA9UUH54088RX.MEDIUM.jpg

A Smart Meter will record all your personal electrical consumption minute by minute and sent it back to the utility company. This information is easily open to hackers/thieves who can determine when you are away from home.

Smart Meters increase 'dirty electricity'.

Smart Meters are a fire hazard.

Smart Meters are used to communicate with The Internet of Things, track your electrical consumption, and send that information to your utility company (for data farming and government spying purposes eg. NSA, CIA) by piggybacking on other Smart Meter signals in the Smart Grid. This blankets entire communities in dangerous wireless radio frequency/microwave radiation.

■ Use incandescent light bulbs or LEDs.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b4/Gluehlampe_01_KMJ.png/170px-Gluehlampe_01_KMJ.pnghttp://solarandalucia.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/LED_Light.jpg

■ Avoid CFLs (contain mercury, emit high EMFs) and halogen bulbs (emit high EMFs).

https://fire9prevention.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/cfl.jpghttp://s.hswstatic.com/gif/halogen-lamp-1.jpg

■ Use search engines like DuckDuckGo and Startpage that don't track you.

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNNnrW6XyGztBE_L_qZ4KPqSktI3fLa N7RdGfqnHuSQAM7GgOl9A

■ Get off The Grid. If you can't do that, try to cut back on power use and/or find alternatives to your utilities.

■ Home school.

■ Don't join the military.

■ Don't vote.

The internet of things is the A.I. grid, in our faces.

Wherever germanium and silicon semi-junctions really came from back at the turnover of the 40s into the 50s, this "internet of things" was surely the planed destination of travel by whatever sentience was resonsible for it.

I've seen only some videos about the project, but I certainly like the concept. Of course it almost seems like an utopia (which I wish to see), where is no money and we live in beautiful green surroundings. I have never really liked the monetary system because it always gives more power to some people while others have to struggle. I love technology, but I don't like how it's been used these days for profit and war, also it seems that all this wireless technology is destroying our healths. Also it's insane to build nuclear power plants, we need fusion energy instead.

People should have lives where they can contribute when they want, where they want. In this current society we have almost completely forgot spirituality, because we have had to focus on other meaningless things. Of course that's just my view. Even if people don't want a change we need one because this world is being destroyed and we are reaching the point of no return. We truly need a shift in the human mindset and consciousness.

Wow, I just realized that Jacque Fresco is 99 years old! He certainly looks younger and his mind still seems to be working clearly.

Thank you, Wind. Yes, definitely, technology can be used for our collective benefit. At the moment, because of money (which causes greed, disparity, power/control mongers etc.), technology is most often not being used for benevolent reasons. It's hard to imagine a world where technology is only used to help and service all of human kind. 'The Venus Project' shows us how technology can literally turn the Earth into a utopia. There is no reason why it cannot. All justifications to the contrary only support the few who wish to control the many.

Yes, Jacque Fresco is an amazing fellow. :)

All I know about the Venus Project ( I think ) is that it was mentioned ( promoted ? ) in one of the versions of the movie Zeitgeist.

What it looked like to my fairly unimpressed eyes was some kind of communist utopian nightmare.

From there, I'm open to being educated otherwise, Jano.

Yes!, here is a short description of the Venus Project (http://www.intelligenthq.com/innovation-management/the-venus-project-how-to-redesign-a-city-with-technology/), "The idea is to get people living in an economy that is resource based (http://www.theresourcebasedeconomy.com/2015/03/six-philosophies-which-enable-a-resource-based-economy/). Such an economy would focus on being efficient with energy, managing natural resources effectively and sustainable development and would be based on social cooperation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_cooperative)".

It is utopian for our time, but tomorrow will see such thing spring up IMHO!

hehe..... yea if those bankers get their way, it will.

Meanwhile, I'm hoping the circumstances that would make that happen in that way will be changed by a more sovereign minded human occupying each meat suit this spiritual adventure has become, so far.

I know I don't want to be around in a future that's based on a negotiated imperfection disguised as ideal. I've lived my life in a world that was almost like that, except it had a good measure of dirty rough accidental adventure about it to make it interesting and inspiring.

Do you know anything about 'The Venus Project', norman? It is a resourced-based system. From what I recall, there is no money/trade/barter involved. That's the whole point. Without money, 'The Venus Project' stands a good chance of succeeding.

Certainly, no system is perfect, but 'The Venus Project' is a great start IMHO. Compared to what we have now? Sign me on yesterday.

Btw, thank you for quoting me. :tiphat: However, I can't take credit for that one. It belongs to JoeEcho.

If that's the case, it's got one bit right.

My problem is that there are "ways" of getting there and some of them scare the crap out of me.

It won't happen without a "movement" of some kind. The Venus Project, as I saw it presented, looked like clone city nirvana.

That's just it. There can be no money. If there's still money, you can't have 'The Venus Project'.

That's the trick: how to get rid of money while making as smooth a transition as possible into a resource-based society...

UBUNTU contribution'ism' kind of addresses that by starting up 'pockets' of people/communities that are self-sufficient -- requiring no money at all.

Lol 'clone city nirvana'? :D That's Jacque Fresco envisioning something that might work. Think of it as a starting point. By no means is that the only design.

I think the OP here is beyond fantastic frankly, thank you Pris.

Also, I'd like to wheel it back to that OP in response to their needing to be a movement to facilitate such a project. The precursor to this thread was a need for a motivation to cleanse ones' self and loved ones of attachments to anything potentially damaging. Much as this is presumed folly by most of us or at the very most paid lip service by most of us (and never acted upon), it certainly doesn't require the sustenance derived from others' ideas, ideologies or accrued complexities of political systems to succeed. In my view, quite the opposite.

There is such an immensity of emancipation involved in self sufficiency that it propagates continuity selflessly and wholly by the control that is reassigned back to self upon the practice, not even completion.
