Do you have a child or plan to have one or two?

I like your ideas of pushing the boundaries. That always has merit. We never know what we are made of until the SHTF.

What if you had a kid who was not interested in your philosophy and just wanted to write poetry and sit in the garden? Would you honour that or make them bend to your idea of what makes an ideal human being?

Not being adversarial here, just interested in your take on it.

Hmmm. That inquiry and the subsequent response is worthy of a thread all its own! Soon,.... (btw, I haven't forgotten that I still owe you and ToT at least one song, and more appropriately 2-3 w/ compounded interest)

The simple answer (I'll hold onto my best material for the moment ^_~) is 'No kids'; my organs haven't/won't been/be altered to guarantee, but my sworn counterpart and I are quite resolute on the matter.

Hypothetically speaking however, I could argue that by so defying/dismissing my philosophy they would likewise be embracing it,.... While I push for emergence of all kinds not least of which is dispositional and physiological, the greatest form of emergence comes of emerging from the perception of being what the world 'has chosen' for one's self.

Carlos Castaneda often wrote of becoming a warrior (not lit.) and stopping the world; whether one's method involves physical exertion and development, scholastic and studious pursuits, meditative and/or contemplative activities (which I would include garden poetry as a most excellent example). What would be certain to inspire my,... 'lack of enthusiasm',... well again that'll be covered in the up and coming 'Children Of All Ages' thread. ^_~
