I am a great believer in mantras having power , are national anthems not mantras that the nation repeat constantly , which keeps the vibration intention the same over and over again , .. I know what I mean if you need clarification please ask .

Here's my point .. This is the French national anthem

La Marseillaise

Grab your weapons, citizens!
Form your batallions!
Let us march! Let us march!
May impure blood
Water our fields!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This horde of slaves, traitors, plotting kings,
What do they want?
For whom these vile shackles,
These long-prepared irons? (repeat)
Frenchmen, for us, oh! what an insult!
What emotions that must excite!
It is us that they dare to consider
Returning to ancient slavery!

What! These foreign troops
Would make laws in our home!
What! These mercenary phalanxes
Would bring down our proud warriors! (repeat)
Good Lord! By chained hands
Our brows would bend beneath the yoke!
Vile despots would become
The masters of our fate!

Tremble, tyrants! and you, traitors,
The disgrace of all groups,
Tremble! Your parricidal plans
Will finally pay the price! (repeat)
Everyone is a soldier to fight you,
If they fall, our young heros,
France will make more,
Ready to battle you!

Frenchmen, as magnanimous warriors,
Bear or hold back your blows!
Spare these sad victims,
Regretfully arming against us. (repeat)
But not these bloodthirsty despots,
But not these accomplices of Bouillé,
All of these animals who, without pity,
Tear their mother's breast to pieces!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sacred love of France,
Lead, support our avenging arms!
Liberty, beloved Liberty,
Fight with your defenders! (repeat)
Under our flags, let victory
Hasten to your manly tones!
May your dying enemies
See your triumph and our glory!

Refrain

We will enter the pit
When our elders are no longer there;
There, we will find their dust
And the traces of their virtues. (repeat)
Much less eager to outlive them
Than to share their casket,
We will have the sublime pride
Of avenging them or following them!

If we wish to raise the vibration of the planet to one of love , surely we need to get rid of things like this , I know .. It won't happen unless we abolish the establishments / system in place .. But can you imagine what it might be like if the mantra was one of love , brotherhood , sisterhood , friendship and gratitude for the planet ???

Just a thought , with love Tribe xxxx

Agreed Sarah - perhaps we should come up with an anthem for the whole of humanity ... :whstl:

Lord grant that Marshal Wade,
May by thy mighty aid,
Victory bring;
May he sedition hush,
And like a torrent rush
Rebellious Scots to crush:
God save the king!

The Spanish national anthem pleasingly has no words, and thus no barbarous words.

In my youth I was vexed by a man who used to try to make people sing "God save the Queen" all the time. Any occasion seemed to him to be just the right occasion to get people chanting the song — and not just one verse, either. Anyway, a couple of us came up with an alternative and gladly joined in, electing instead to use our own, rather gratifying lyrics. Let's see if old Seikou remember the words...

See the proud peacock strut,
Wiggling its idle butt
For all to see.
We do not love the thing
Nor shall we vainly sing;
Irreverent our voices ring:
Best to be free!

It was in by-gone times,
Adorned with pompous rhymes
By vacant wits.
We do not bend our knee,
For that peacock or thee,
And name thee and thine ilk to be
A load of sh!ts.

Yet there will come a day,
It pleaseth us to say
When folly dies.
No-one by birth alone
Shall sit upon a throne
And every man shall be his own
Beneath blue skies.

What a great idea for all the musicians and artists on the forum .............a song of Global Citizenry that touches the heart of the masses would be a game changer in many ways, me thinks...............music can be Pure Love and help to Unite and shift the world just on frequency alone!!

Thanks Tribe............creative and wonderful thinking
