Just what are we.The human body is more magnificent than you have previously been taught. while some may look at it and see how weak and fragile it is, you should look at it and realize the mind blowing wonders you hold inside yourself. Is this just coincidental that we are made up like this or is there something else to it

5. There are 60,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body. That’s enough to wrap around the world 2 1/2 times.

4. There are more cells in your body than stars in the galaxy.

There are around 75 to 100 trillion cells in you making up your entire body, let me say that again 75 to 100 TRILLION cells! when you compare this to the 400 billion stars in our galaxy, you can contemplate just how much encompasses your existence. if you ever feel small, remember, there are more cells in your body than stars in our galaxy!

3. The Cells in your body react to everything that your mind says.

the mind controls every function of the body, and you are able to control your mind. positive thoughts can strengthen your immune system while negative thoughts can bring it down. it has even been shown that simple changes in the language you use can change your physiology.

2. Every 7 years your body completely replaces itself

the cells that make up your body are dying and being replaced all the time.So much so that as you read this sentence roughly 25,000,000 of your cells have died. But don’t worry today you will make 300 billion more. This happens so often that every 7-10 years you have a completely new body of cells. kind of makes you think, if you have a completely new body every few years, 7 years ago, the body you have now did not exist, so if not your body than who are you?

1. You are made of stardust.

Yes you are literally made of stardust. the carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atoms in our bodies, as well as atoms of all other heavy elements, were created in previous generations of stars over 4.5 billion years ago. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains it the best :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D05ej8u-gU

The knowledge that the atoms that comprise life on earth – the atoms that make up the human body, are traceable to the crucibles that cooked light elements into heavy elements in their core under extreme temperatures and pressures. These stars- the high mass ones among them- went unstable in their later years- they collapsed and then exploded- scattering their enriched guts across the galaxy- guts made of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and all the fundamental ingredients of life itself. These ingredients become part of gas clouds that condense, collapse, form the next generation of solar systems- stars with orbiting planets. And those planets now have the ingredients for life itself. So that when I look up at the night sky, and I know that yes we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the universe is in us
