The structure is located off the coast of Terceira Island.

Reports are emerging of a pyramid shaped structure located off the coast of Terceira Island.

Portuguese news sites are reporting on the alleged discovery of a large man-made pyramid located at a depth of approximately 40m. It was said to have been discovered by Diocleciano Silva, a private yacht owner who had picked up the structure on sonar while sailing in the area.

"The pyramid is perfectly shaped and apparently oriented by the cardinal directions," Silva told a local newspaper. The structure is thought to be approximately 60m tall and has a base of around 8,000 square meters.

Details are scarce at this point however it is thought that this could be evidence that the islands were inhabited long before the arrival of the Portuguese. Archaeological evidence on Pico island is said to date back several thousand years. Rock art, megalithic structures and other signs of human activity have also been discovered across all nine islands of the Azorean archipelago.

So who put him up to the idea to search, i wonder?????

I don't think it was a search, sonar is cheap & widely available now, I've got an anglers one that can see fish, & what level the fish are at and shows the depth of the water & what the bed is like, its only the size of a packet of cigarettes, with a sensor the size of a walnut on a wire to dangle in the water.

So I would imagine anyone with an ocean going yacht has something a lot better !

So just out of the blue he uses a sonar scanner and voila a new but ancient pyramid emerges, does anyone suspect that this guy knew what he was looking for and went and found it. Nothing happens by chance in this day and age, I am only asking that people question more deeply the source of data we are being spoon fed, aqt least trhen we would have a better idea opf the veracity of the facts or not.

Question everything, question every body, take nothing for granted.

Kinda same topic, but kinda not: after the big quake that just happened in Pasistan, a new land mass surfaced..

Yea!!! No doubt about it he knew what he was looking for! I'm surprised we even had this disclosed.
