"these birds are flightless ( can't fly ) parrots and are called kakapoo and they are so endangerd that there are about 125 left in new zeland where they live no where else on the planet ( accept for in zoos ) and i think that one was a male"

"R K Yup. It was his green shirt. I had an African Gray that we couldn't have any tools (screwdriver, hammer, etc) that had a red handle. Our bird would try to mate with it. It's called a flash color. Bright red for Grays because they have bright red tails. Green for the kakapoo because of their feather coloring. It's an instinctive arousal sign that causes an irrepressible urge to mate with the object of that colour."
