Ike Turner - KTVI - TV St. Louis, Mo. 1959.mpg
Uploaded on Feb 10, 2011Ike Turner & The Rhythm Kings before Tina & Cocaine. This poor quality Kinescope combined with a multi generation tape may make for low quality viewing here but in exchange you get a rare look at a rock & roll pioneer in his early days. The TV show is called Party Time from 1959 & Ike & the boys are the house band. Here we have them doing the songs So Fine & Splish Splash.
Enjoy this bit of history.
