According to Wikipedia Turkey uses F16s that they assemble themselves, they have some of the ancient F5s but they are trainers.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_aircraft_of_the_Turkish_Air_Force

Who would send a training aircraft up against an unidentified aircraft, esp considering their relations with Greece & now Syria ?

The turks would have tried to force the ufo to leave or land,if they can ,they leave, if they can't due to tec problems, they would have to land escorted to a more acceptable location.the one over southern spain last year was similar ,but with jets from Gibraltar (3 jets ) flying at low level, circling and intimidating the ufo craft until it speed off.this took about 30 minutes.
I would imagine that the tactic would be line up , weapons lock , turn and repeat repeatedly.intimidation.

grate day light photos.!

I think there is a great chance that the UFO has terrestrial origin.

Spial,This is probally one of the better articles about the interception in southern Spain it was about December 2012,in Spanish sorry
There were many cover stories everything from a drug run intercepted to a drunken pilot who supposedly took off from Gibraltar without correct autherisation,as my house was in the flight line and friends of mine both between me and at MarBella with perfect views , I tend to believe in our version and our time scale than that of the media.A surprising cigar shaped vessel that just was hanging around the south face of the mountain that is right behind Marbella called LA concha. The jets I believe were from Gibraltar, but then again its only a few hundred KLM from rota where the american base is so they could have been theirs, was about 4.30am,jets were flying what semmed to be so low that the house windows shook from there ass over,I meen pass over, at sonic boom speed , I don't know how fast that is, but quite a bit faster than me rolling down a hill lol,
One of my friends was watching with his binoculars from his balcony and counted the passbys the first was at an astonishing speed ,he said ,then they turned out to sea and quickly turned in again towards the cigar shaped vessel, this repeated for 20 minutes followed by a helicopter , you know the big twin military ones. The other friend in Marbella was watching from his bedroom, he said it was a perfect clear night morning almost in the the alba of the morn, the vessel left with the presence of the helicopter approaching .
For me their was something very interesting about this as the visitor did not seem to be bothered too much by the jets, they left when the chopper was approaching the area.

Perhaps there is a weapon that is not in the jets, frequency based perhaps also the jets dispersed out to sea when the chopper arrived, and it patiently lighted up the ground at some locations ,what were they looking for?

Anyway the only media information was from a local tabloid from Ronda,45 minutes up the mountain in the sierra blanca ,not even the local coastal news would go there.

Very interesting tonton, esp the big Chinook helicopter, I think you are right about some big heavy weapon because these huge helicopters are often seen chasing UFOs which seems odd considering how slow they are.

This is from the olive press they show a pic of on your link tonton, usual fudge story !

THE midnight mystery of a low flying Costa del Sol fighter jet, that left expats fearing it was going to crash, has deepened.

An ex-military pilot has insisted the aircraft must have been offering military assistance to civilian authorities for illegal criminal activity such as shadowing drugs, terrorists or other criminals.

“The helicopter could have been Police National back up,” insisted Steve.

“No pilot in his right mind would fly low and at night in mountainous area for fun or to show off.”

Meanwhile, Geoff Jones, a resident of the Costa de Sol who witnessed the unidentified aircraft flying ‘erratically’ at low level between Marbella and Sotogrande around 5am on Easter Sunday, insisted someone needed to get to the bottom of it.

“Night exercise by any military flying operations are not authorised over built up areas, day or night,” he added.

Expat forums have since filled with conspiracy theories as to the pilot’s motives, while local radio stations and the Olive Press newsroom have been inundated with calls.

Some believe the aircraft could be one of the new Eurofighters that are assembled near Marbella.

Other theories included the possibility that it was one of four Spanish F-18s previously involved in the Libya conflict, from the nearby US air base at Moron de la Frontera.

There have also been suggestions that there were in fact more than one plane.

“I am sure there was more than one jet, plus later on, there was a propeller plane,” insisted Tom MacLaren.

“The noise from the planes was very loud, so I don’t know how anyone in Estepona slept through it.

“It felt like we were under attack!”

When contacted by the Olive Press, a spokesman for Malaga Airport’s operations centre said: “We can’t give any information about those types of flights.”

When pushed as to the reason why, the spokesman declined to comment.

A spokesman for Gibraltar Airport said they were not aware of the incident as Gibraltar air space – which is only open from 8am to 9pm – was closed at the time.
