Founded in 1954, Bilderberg is an annual conference designed to foster dialogue between Europe and North America.

The 2014 Bilderberg Group meeting of secretive global power brokers will almost certainly take place at the 5 star Marriott Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark from May 29 to June 1.

After Denmark was confirmed yesterday as the site of the organization’s 62nd conference, inquiries to the Marriott show no rooms available for those dates, indicating that Bilderberg has booked out the entire hotel for its annual confab.

Although the group has been known to throw out red herrings and double book different hotels to throw reporters off the scent, the Marriott will very likely be the site of the conference.

I'm sure there are plenty - the G20 Meeting held in Brisbane, Australia, some months ago, I'm sure was the basis for the austerity budget we've just been given. For those not familiar his background: Petraeus four-star general, who was commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan,a well as commander of all coalition forces in Iraq. THEN, he surprised everyone by asking to be appointed head of CIA in 2011, THEN, in 2012 was asked to step down from CIA due to a alleged sex scandal.

I always thought the sex scandal (which was huge here in the states) was a set-up and he had become out of favor with tptb.

I cant agree more with you Sooz, something big is cooking there and this time we are about to see a real hunt on the middle class awaken who are trying to tell people what is going on in the world. On a several occasions they failed to implement their sinister plans, people rejecting GMOs, more people are trying to eat organic, to avoid poisonous chemicals. In addition fracking is about to be eradicated, people already see how bad it is. The fracking corporation CHEVRON just left Bulgaria because they realized they cannot frack there, the resistance was far too strong than they expected and the so called corrupt government failed to be as corrupt as they expected.

They will sit alongside key global powerbrokers such as Christine Lagarde, the head of the International Monetary Fund, and senior officials from the European Central Bank.

The chairmen from Goldman Sachs and Lazards will perhaps reflect on how their investment banks “advised” Whitehall over the controversial flotation of Royal Mail, which left the UK taxpayer £1bn out of pocket.

Keeping a discreet eye over the exchanges will be the intelligence chiefs such as Mr Alexander from the United States and Sir John Sawers, the head of MI6, who was pictured on Facebook in his swimming trunks in 2009.

Items on the agenda include “The future of democracy and the middle-class trap”, “The new architecture of the Middle East” and the major geopolitical crisis of the moment: “Ukraine”. The secretive nature of the Bilderberg Conference has triggered suspicions that the event is used to shape global policy at the expense of democratic oversight. The idea of the euro was said to have been spawned at one meeting in the Nineties.

Paul Flynn, Labour MP for Newport West, asked a series of parliamentary questions about Bilderberg last year when the conference was held at a five-star hotel near Watford. He told The Independent: “I don’t regard the Bilderberg as a great threat but we would all like to know what is going on with these things. Secrecy inspires concern.”

Despite its new efforts at transparency, the conference is still acutely sensitive about radical infiltration. On Tuesday night, three journalists – self-styled “InfoWarriors” – were arrested by Danish police after they tried to ambush the organisers outside the Marriott.

Unfortunately for Hannah Borno, a British freelance journalist staying in the hotel, she was spotted exchanging words with the “InfoWarriors” earlier in the day, which caused her stay to be prematurely cut short. She said: “As my husband and I prepared to go to bed we were confronted by a hotel member of staff and a member of security. They said we had been seen talking to some people earlier who had been asked to leave, and for the safety of the staff they had been advised to ask us to leave.”
