March 30, 2014 -- (TRN) -- *** UPDATED *** A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has struck directly inside Yellowstone National Park possibly indicating a pending eruption of the Yellowstone SUPER volcano. As of 12:59 PM EDT, a total of seven earthquakes have now hit Yellowstone and the pattern is sequential clockwise, around the super volcano caldera! It appears the super volcano is "unzipping!"

The earthquake took place at 8:34 AM eastern daylight time at a depth of 4.2 miles. The USGS report is HERE. It was preceded by a Fore-shock of magnitude 3.0 about two hours earlier, around 6:30 AM eastern US time.

Massive harmonics from the quake have been recorded throughout ALL the seismometers within Yellowstone. Multiple after shocks are still occurring as the article is being live-updated. as of 12:59 PM EDT, there have now been a total of SEVEN recorded earthquakes all in the same area in Yellowstone.

I hope this is nothing serious as the earthquake is very shallow. I would imagine its just an adjustment withing the continental crust which could be caused by some crumbling ricks or air bubbles pushed by lave from the volcano or could be created by HAARP technology. Which really is insane to tinker at such vulnerable area as Yellowstone.

Don't be its dead easy http://www.moorlandschool.co.uk/earth/earth_science/earthinterior.gifImagine a Scotch egg......

The outer shell of the Earth is called the CRUST (breadcrumbs)
The next layer is called the MANTLE (sausagemeat)
The next layer is the liquid OUTER CORE (egg white)
The middle bit is called the solid INNER CORE (egg yolk)
DEAD EASY !

The deepest anyone has drilled into the earth is around 12 kilometres, we've only scratched the surface. How do we know what's going on deep underground?

It could simply be an adjustment to the 5.1 that occurred in the Los Angeles area 2 days ago. It didn't do much damage - and was also not very deep.

OTOH any time there is activity in one of the super volcanoes, I pay attention. Not that there's anything one can do about it.

When the super volcano Toba erupted aprox 77,000 years ago - many scientists believe it was the pre-curser to an ice age.

Even when Krakatoa (regular volcano) erupted 1883, I believe, besides all the people it killed in surrounding areas and via Tsunami - the amount of ash it send up kept sun rays from getting to the earth as usual and it was said to be the year of no summer. Bad winter throughout planet.
