Jimmer...that's a wild one!

Two Things don't click.

1. Says he saw the craft while he was at his kitchen window. (my guess he would have a sink and water there) After he gets the jug from them --- why does he go to the basement for water?

2. Says they were little people...then says 5 foot tall?

I BELIEVE HIM...probably rattled.

I Don't believe the FDA - No need for Air Force to turn the pancakes over to the FDA. Silly story! The pancake looks more like blintzes or crepes.

a wild story indeed, but one that has some reoccurrence:

from a google search on this event:

"Jacques Vallée wrote about a similar case in which a french farmer saw a small disk land
while tilling his field and was handed a pancake by a small being.
This event took place in the French countryside in the late 40s as I recall.
The story appeared in one of his early books (might have been dimensions),
in which he used data from 'high-strangeness' cases specifically.
I believe this was the book forwarded by Dr. Alan J. Hynek."

so this 'pancake-of-the-third-kind' encounter for joe simonton
may have some roots in historic ufo-lore.

here's more on' joe and his greasy pancakes from space' story (from 1968)

That is indeed amazing. Take note how his pancake stands erect? I've never made buckwheat pancakes, crepes or blinis that would stand up like his in the picture. But then, mine aren't greasy and burnt; which, I imagine I could make them stiff with a extremely hot griddle and lot'sa grease.

I wonder if he turned his pancakes over to the French Food Police like the American did - or if someone in the family saved them? What are the odds of the friendly food ET's showing up to make breakfast in 2 different countries? Slim to none. That is really a strange coincidence. Jimmer, thanks for the research. I had no idea they liked pancakes.:belief:

I grew up on buckwheat pancakes, still love them and make them several times a month. Right now, just thinking about them and knowing I've got some creme fraiche and lumpfish caviar in the frig; so that's going to be breakfast tomorrow. There not just for “hors’dourves”.

The only difference in pancakes, crepes and blinis is how much buttermilk you add and how long you leave the batter rest. Very simple to eyeball it as you can't screw up. Just add more buckwheat flour depending which one you want to make.
