What IS a Citizen's Arrest ?

I listened to this legal definition of a citizen's arrest recently and thought I'd share it here:

Despite the definition citizen's arrest is another dust in the eyes of those who think they are free. WE know that justice exists to protect the ellits and the so called loops in the law are there to serve the same group. As I've heard from the record citizen's arrest cannot be performed effectively on the biggest crime figures no matter how is their crime.

Out here in the sticks where I live, I don't think the term "citizen's arrest" would even come to mind for most folks. But, people who live out in the country still prefer to handle these matters themselves, and they WILL handle it, you can bet your bottom dollar on that. So if your intention is to say, go and burgle someone's house, it's not the police you need be concerned about should you get caught, it's the person who lives behind that door. Or their neighbor that happens to see you, or...

And you know what? I kind of like it that way.

No no, law exists to protect the elite. Justice is not a human creation.

Oh, I wasn't really correcting anybody. It's just in the UK we have judges whose names are preceded by Mr Justice and Lord Justice, and also the Lord Chief Justice. It has just always grated with me that the establishment should presume it administers justice when what it administers is the law. If we saw judges striking down laws because they were unjust, it might be an appropriate name, but really they never do this in defence of anybody, it's usually just for their own benefit. We see judges all the time sentencing people in unjust ways and when anything is said, they say they're just following the law. If there is a conflict between the law and justice and the judge follows the law, it is not justice he serves nor is it justice he administers.

When Sir Robert Peel set up the Metropolitan Police, what they were actually doing was devolving the power of arrest from the people to a specialised force for practical reasons and stop the vigilante type situation.
So, the police aren't special, they have our powers devolved to them.
Tell em that and see how they react.
Done that and the ones I told knew, but didn't like me putting it like that.
Of course, I had already threatened to arrest them, bash em and put them in their own cuffs.
