At the West 2014 conference on Feb. 13 in San Diego, Calif, Capt. James Fanell, deputy chief of staff intelligence and information operations for the U.S. Pacific Fleet revealed that China and Japan may be on the verge of war.

“We witnessed the massive amphibious and cross military region enterprise — Mission Action 2013,” Fanell said.

“[We] concluded that the PLA has been given the new task to be able to conduct a short sharp war to destroy Japanese forces in the East China Sea following with what can only be expected a seizure of the Senkakus or even a southern Ryukyu [islands] — as some of their academics say.”

“As a senior U.S. government official recently stated, there is growing concern that China’s pattern of behavior in the South China Sea reflects an incremental effort by China to assert control of the area contained in the so-called 9-dash line despite the objections of its neighbors, and despite the lack of any explanation or apparent basis under international law.” Fanell said.

“By the way, protection of maritime rights is a Chinese euphemism for coerce seizure of coastal rights of China’s neighbors,” Fanell said.

“The next week (the week after the combat drill in the south Philippine Sea) in the East China Sea, Japan said that a Chinese warship locked its fire-controlled radar onto a Japanese warship. China denied it for a month, but then admitted that it occurred, but said that it was not in danger since the range between the two ships was too close for a weapons system,” he said.

“Seriously, you just can’t make this stuff up.”

“Tensions in the South and East China Seas have deteriorated with the Chinese Coast Guard playing the role of antagonist, harassing China’s neighbors while PLA Navy ships, their protectors, (make) port calls throughout the region promising friendship and cooperation.” He added.

Well, now the USA gov't is downplaying what Farrell said. News moves fast:shapeshift:

US downplays officer's provocative China remarks

The US Department of Defense has played down remarks by a top Navy intelligence officer who recently said he believed that China is training its forces to become capable of carrying out a "short, sharp" war with Japan in the East China Sea.

Captain James Fanell, director of intelligence and information operations at the US Pacific Fleet, made the comments last week at a conference on maritime strategy called "West 2014" in San Diego.

Fanell further said that he expected China to declare an Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the South China Sea by the end of 2015.

However, the Pentagon's top spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told a news conference on Thursday that the department seeks closer relations with China's military.

“Those were his views to express,” Kirby said.

“What I can tell you about what Secretary Hagel believes is that we all continue to believe that the peaceful, prosperous rise of China is a good thing for the region, for the world,” he added, referring to US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

I am still waiting for someone to tell me the results of the war that United States and China was suppose to be having with the aliens last spring

Kerry Cassidy reported that a war was happening out on the Pacific.
Over at Avalon the posts were going wild, but since then I have not heard any reports of how many ships, planes and lives were lost in the war.

Perhaps the Japs have allied themselves with those Aliens from Outer space :smile2:
