He did know something and he was trying to convey it. Not in very guarded language either but, he clearly was not speaking without care. He was surely aware of the cancer metastasizing in the USA corridors of power. Madison, Adams and Jefferson spoke of it as well. I think they might have had a clearer picture or just spoke more honestly...........because they still could.

as the john birch society fought
the commie creepy, the US press
did a constant 'mcCarthy' job on
this organization and it's leaders.
they were successful twisting the
public's mind. the JBS is now an
artifact.

around the same time as this speech,
ayn rand published, atlas shrugged.

all the warnings were there.

here's something to think about:
the global housing/financial collapse
was caused by political trickery -- timing tons
of balloon loans to convert leading
up to the 2008 election. boom.
