Perhaps an ignorant question to those who are techy minded -but....

(1) How does one add a GIF to TOT in a post?

(2) Where does one find animated GIF's to select?

(3) Is there a good site someone can suggest?

I would be most thankful and appreciative on any answers to the above question that will also give me the opportunity to improve in my computer knowledge and abilities.

A gif is a type if picture, just paste it into the "insert image" box / icon thingy


If you google "something" gif you will usually find some beauties, for example "dance gif" brings up stuff like this http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/dance-gif

Yes, just typing the word gif after any other search term will find them for you in google images. I hang out on dozens of forums, and most of them have threads like this, so I've just borrowed these from other forums. I'll keep adding to it as time goes on. Because honestly, nothing cheers me up the way animated gifs do.

I think people should feel free to post funny still images here, too. I don't suppose they need to all be animated.

Spirit Walker and Church, thank you so much for replying back so quickly - well it sounds so much easier than I conjured up in my mind, I thought I was missing a special tab on the post bar for GIF's. I will have a go tomorrow following your advice.

Although I can say my slow broadband doesn't like them moving images much, it takes a while to load up and properly 'animate them'.

OMG, Mr Cod Piece, this reminds me of trying to ride a motor bike in London. Not quite that bad....but close...lol

That together with the motor bike....well, bikes and I just don't mix. That is, with me driving them.

I'm OK on the back of a Harley though....yee ha! Bought a nice pair of leather pants and jacket this winter if anyone wants to take me for a ride. I think his Lordship used to ride a Harley....where is he btw? He is conspicuous by his absence.
