Seeing her in person is on my bucket list. . . .and I love her in her native tongue.

This is an excellent song. I love the lyrics. I've always found Celine Dion a powerful singer, able to convey emotion really well. I don't understand why she seems to be a laughing stock in pop culture :S

Being a little girl from Québec, I feel I have watched her grow. She is a major idol here, people being very proud of her. We all know here how emotional she is, now the whole world knows... hehe. I've never been a fan as her style is not what I listen to. I do love some of her songs though. When my daughter was about 6 years old, she had her album and it would play all day long.

Here's a blast from the past, when she was only "our" Céline:

When Katerina struck New Orleans and that help was not coming, she said this, very emotionally:

A lot of people laughed... but I was very proud of her. It is now a saying here, when things are not moving fast enough... "Take a kayak tabarnak!" (oups... Québec swearing...)
