The universe is comprised of matter, anti-matter, dark matter and doesn't matter. And size, apparently, doesn't matter. Here is a little of my family's history and my brother's thoughts on a range of topics tangentially related.

"One of my favourite nonHitchcockian MacGuffins is the galaxy sought by two extraterrestrial bounty hunters in the 1997 film Men In Black. The pair learn from Frank, an alien disguised as a pug, that this island universe is actually very small and somewhere on earth (by the end of the film we learn its inside a marble on a cat’s collar)."

I liked the part about a genome ... it is a very interesting aspect of life on earth ... obviously ... Duh! :)

The universe is comprised of matter, anti-matter, dark matter and doesn't matter. That's funny, I laughed out loud.

I'm enjoying the read, thanks.

I had to stop the video and look up parvovirus because it was familiar. Then I remembered. It's what killed my cat years ago. Sad.

Anyway...I love the video about scale. I really like how the items shown have their own 'reflections' in the 'glass'.

And I love how Rhode Island, our smallest state, made the video. (I used to live there)

Horton heard a Who. He cared. I just loved that story. I think I always wanted to find the secret world in a closet, in a snow-globe, in a speck of dust.

I had a dream not too long ago where I went to the back of my house and found the door to the 'other wing' of the house I'd forgotten about. There was so much more space and many more rooms. Fun stuff.

So sorry about your cat. Glad people can't get that disease. Oh no...I just had one of those, "spoke too soon" moments! The Horton story is one of my favorites too. When you smoke pot, the whole world takes on this added dimension of wonder and wondering about Who-like reality.

Your dream kind of reflects your love of fractals, too. It's like that other wing is a bud of the greater bud of your house, similar to the Mandelbrot set. You could say the dream is deeply animistic, in that the house has given birth to another wing. Everything is alive in our dreams, it seems. Nothing is static, everything is morphing, birthing.

Man, can I ever ramble!

But, I still resent being called a pug. :p

I had a lot of potential nasties in my past which I narrowly avoided. There are some I didn't. I believe part of my life lesson was/is to learn to how to do this. My life would've been very different had I not avoided the nasties, and yet the overall lesson would have been the same. More pain because I didn't learn to trust my instincts, less because I did.

It's only one aspect, but as I think on it I can see how my life could have been very different and yet the lessons would've been the same. Some, anyway.

So what's the difference for others? What's the difference for those who did not get away with their bad intent?

I happen to know there are some folks who harbored a long-term and deep resentment that they did not get away with their plan. They tried again years later. They perhaps cannot deal with their failure. And maybe what they need to learn is to redirect their energy away from trying to destroy other people and then get away with it.

How can one really know while still in this life?

I find the common advice coming from NDE experiencers, to love and exercise compassion, to be the best advice.

And by far the most annoying thing is seeing the road we've been going down as a nation and world and being utterly frustrated by closed ears and minds, by denial, by delusion and rationalization, as one domino after another falls.

One more empty vindication after another.

I don't want these things to pass, but people think I just 'want' to believe them.

They're in denial.

That's what's really sad. I'm managing to escape bad intent, be stronger and less of a burden to anyone, I have insight which could help society, and folks don't give a crap because fear, pride, ego, side-taking, whatever.

No good reasons.

It's less fun if one has bad intent, succeeds, and no one knows about it. I think about that every time I get to feeling really nasty ... it's a double-bind with no way out. :). Psychopaths fall into that trap constantly and ultimately it is their undoing.

Or just the opposite; it could be their needed motivation for doing it differently. Psychopaths ─ unlike sociopaths ─ are generally very intelligent. They don't need the whole world to know what they've done (or are doing) ─ only their target needs to know.

Yeah. In fact, I know some folks who delight in doing, saying stuff when no-one else is watching. "What are you gonna do about it, Huh?"

I stay away from them.

I am so glad I don't know or interact with many people. They're an unpredictable species, like bears.

We are a crazy species. Who designed us? How could such a creature evolve? We are our own best ally and worst enemy. Is there another 'top of the food chain' creature that wars with it's own?

Oh yeah. Chimpanzees. With whom we share 98% of genes.

Hey, no wonder we're ape-shit crazy. :blink::crazy::blink:

Theory is, DT, that that is why homo saps are the premier predator... they got all the skills.

We've certainly got the history records to affirm that. No other species on this Earth has ever done so much damage in such a short time, both to the ecosystem and to itself.

We are an aberration in the natural world.

Some think that's a sign that we were put here as opposed to naturally evolving.

If it's intelligent design, then I gotta question the entities which did such work. ;)
