We detailed point for point his findings that Oumuamua is an extremely strange object, regardless of its origins, and that it may be consistent with a light sail of some type. Interestingly related: An example of consciousness and the physical world: cortical blindness. Vision is located in two areas of the brain, the occipital lobe and the lower level of the reptilian region in the midbrain. If a human is injured at the more recent brain areas (the occipital) they lose sight, perhaps coincidentally or not scientists assume that consciousness is located in the more recently evolved regions.

The midbrain still functions and people can navigate obstacles on a course with zero awareness/consciousness of doing it. The ability to orient oneself in space might still exist, but the awareness of navigation just doesn't exist. Intelligence without consciousness might be cosmically common. It's weird! What is intelligence without consciousness? AI at least now doesn't even begin to approach the level of human intelligence and certainly don't possess consciousness and likely never will. Demonstrating a 'zone' flow of functioning that might be highly elevated but not conscious. Again, very weird!

Avi suggests looking for pollutants rather than oxygen to find other civilizations. CFCs or some such.
