I want this to be an informative thread so if anyone has any thoughts that interest them I will do the research and follow up with any information I can find. I hope for it to get better with time (that 1st one is pretty boring actually :) I was tempted to download episodes of the actual "Genetic Detective" and then upload here, but I figured that could lead to serious copyright problems, not to mention a long term prison sentence.

Did you know that because of those DNA tests they've been able to catch serial killers like the Golden State Killer (https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2018/10/we-will-find-you-dna-search-used-nab-golden-state-killer-can-home-about-60-white) too?

I was just watching a show about this when I was out west. I recognize CeCe. She was on the show I watched, talking about the use of these voluntary databases.

I did a psychic smackdown on this guy, on a forum 'The Wichita Eagle-Beacon BTK discussion forum' ... I think I was trailed by the FBI in Houston Texas for a short while, it was weird. I think if someone is so focused on something, things will manifest around the energy. I think they were just checking me out, though there were people on the board that were suggesting that I should be a suspect. (Sounds pretty paranoid, huh). My claim to fame was a 'round' farmhouse dream which turned in to a long board discussion about 'Historical round barns' That whole thing went places that left me feeling like I was living in a surreal nightmare... After the case was solved, I went to Wichita to visit my brother but I was compelled to visit BTK's stomping grounds. As it turned out his animal control office was a converted 'Historical Round Barn' ... I also described his home, his yard, his main hobby, and not irrelevant his ethnicity as his first victims were a Puerto Rican family and he pretended to be Hispanic in one of his mocking calls to Law Enforcement.

When he was first active, I used to walk through his part of town at night to and from a job that I working.

My opinion... his facts on Rader were very accurate... His generalizations to other serial killers was a little too general and not spot on. :)

Tha abuse factor could not be determined but Rader had a history of abuse towards his younger siblings...That doesn't normally develop in a vacuum which is why one forum dweller remarked that when his mother dropped him on his head it must have been from the 3rd floor. :)

The progression of criminality is very common, as is using a fantasy demonic other to escape responsibility. Gaps between crimes is not that uncommon among the organized types which implies a degree of psychological control.

Low eroticism ... :) I was going to suggest he was a really boring serial killer... :), no hints of perversion or necrophilia (the most hideous of sk behaviors, but nevertheless common). He was just demented and angry about his sister's sick victimization.

yes, no kidding ... it is quite sobering. I know I was scared when I heard that the area of activity was the same area that I had walked at night. It stimulates the serial killer. The narcissism probably. One of the weird things about the Wichita case, is that the local media were using subliminal messaging on their news media. I don't recall the exact message but it was like, "Call the" Here it is.

I always had strange urges after that ... not to kill but a sense of guilt ... it was weird.

I wanted to keep this story up. Holmes is titled, "America's First Serial Killer" and was once suspected of being Jack the Ripper come to America.

With this I have to disagree. Many serial killers have claimed to have been possessed by demons and I necessarily don't have to doubt that. It doesn't take away their responsibility, but there are multiple factors at play and often we humans don't take the spiritual side into account. I hate to say it, but demons do exist. Many of these people say that they are not on the driver's seat, they just have to act on the impulses. Something else is perhaps guiding them. Maybe some people might use that as an excuse though.

yeah, There is always that possibility ... maybe more truth than fantasy. The most notable of recent crazies was David Berkowitz...supposedly he admitted that he had made his demon up for convenience.

at 19:38 Holmes claims that he did his crimes because 'the devil made him do it' ... interesting note about him.

It is there where the narrator starts a summary of the way he committed his acts ... sums it up quickly and in an interesting fashion

DNA of his great-great grandson could not be used to establish that Holmes was indeed buried in his supposed coffin
