Good Morning!

So it begins...

I've been writing for years on several forums of various kinds. Much of what I wrote was of the nature of existence and our DNA that would carry us through this existence. I've got almost a whole library on the subject in fact.

As one of the first things in my lets say awakening I was directed to DNA and not from some outside source as in videos, articles and such...but my very own guide Artemis. Who indeed just to reiterate is me in essence. Just a much smarter me perhaps from my past in the learning of existing within this universe. Such as we all carry this intelligence within it's often that learning that can be sidelined or even distracted in the meanings. I know personally I've been distracted many times by outside sources that would even send me on a wild goose chase only to come around back to where I started and have to begin again ...from the beginning and it seems to all start with one important thing which I acknowledged...yet to some degree temporarily disregarded as but one function.

Today in all my illness it was again show to me as a key. Not just any key mind you but one very important Key. Perhaps I need to revisit that key and in the recall of years of my own writing and research I might find an answer to solve my own illness? I thought it's worth a try and Artemis does not suggest lightly of things unless he's serious as to the importance.

So I'm starting with this and will add to this the various degrees as to its importance.

What if...it works?

The beginning: When Waves Collide

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etKwTKzgVW4&feature=youtu.be

Alpha.... Electromagnetic Finestructure Constant 'Alpha' And TAU.... τ–θ puzzle ..... together. Not simply Tau....

My bad for not paying better attention. My focus got pulled away from ALPHA. When I got this part of the code I got two things.."eye of Taurus" and of course the other was "golden ratio".

Because there's a whole lot more to this apparent puzzle. This was only one very small part.

It is in essence the "Beginning"....the three wavy lines as the PRIMER ...3 n's equal water and there are three N's in the word Beginning....

Flow action.....be the water.....It can flow or it can crash.... What happen when two waves meet?

They "collide".....

or

A transverse wave moves energy by passing it through points of matter. The crest is the highest point of a transverse wave, and the trough is the lowest point. The effect of two waves colliding depends on whether the waves amplify or cancel each other. If the crest of one wave collides with the trough of another, the energy pulling in two directions will cancel the effects of both. If the crest of a wave collides with the crest of another, the energy will be amplified. The same thing happens if two troughs collide.

~ And ~

When two systems ... enter into temporary physical interaction ... and when after a time of mutual influence the systems separate again, then they can no longer be described in the same way as before viz. by endowing each of them with a representative of its own. You would not call that one but rather the characteristic trait of quantum mechanics, the one that enforces its entire departure from classical lines of thought. By the interaction the two representatives [the quantum states] have become entangled.

An example of entanglement occurs when subatomic particles decay into other particles. When pairs of particles are generated by the decay of other particles, naturally or through induced collision, these pairs may be termed “entangled”, in that such pairs often necessarily have linked and opposite qualities such as spin or charge.

HOW WATER SHAPES DNA

Water molecules surround the genetic material DNA in a very specific way. Scientists at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) have discovered that, on the one hand, the texture of this hydration shell depends on the water content and, on the other hand, actually influences the structure of the genetic substance itself. These findings are not only important in understanding the biological function of DNA; they could also be used for the construction of new DNA-based materials

The DNA’s double helix never occurs in isolation; instead, its entire surface is always covered by water molecules which attach themselves with the help of hydrogen bonds. But the DNA does not bind all molecules the same way.

"DNA is, thus, a responsive material," explains Karim Fahmy. "By this, we refer to materials which react dynamically to varying conditions. The double helix structure, the strength of the hydrogen bonds, and even the DNA volume tend to change with higher water contents."

https://www.astrobio.net/also-in-news/how-water-shapes-dna/

'It does not come as a complete surprise that the water sheath of the genetic material is also of great relevance to the natural biological function of DNA. Because every biomolecule which is bound to the DNA has to first displace the water sheath. The Dresden scientists have analyzed this process for the peptide indolicidin. This antimicrobial protein is less structured and very flexible. That it still "identifies" the double helix so precisely is due to the fact that highly structured water molecules are released when it coalesces with the genetic material. The water sheath's restructuring, which is actually an energetic advantage, increases the binding of the active agent'.

Quantum Entanglement Holds DNA Together

There was a time, not so long ago, when biologists swore black and blue that quantum mechanics could play no role in the hot, wet systems of life.

Now a group of physicists say that the weird laws of quantum mechanics may be more important for life than biologists could ever have imagined. Their new idea is that DNA is held together by quantum entanglement.

That’s worth picking apart in more detail. Entanglement is the weird quantum process in which a single wavefunction describes two separate objects. When this happens, these objects effectively share the same existence, no matter how far apart they might be.

The question that Elisabeth Rieper at the National University of Singapore and a couple of buddies have asked is what role might entanglement play in DNA. To find out, they’ve constructed a simplified theoretical model of DNA in which each nucleotide consists of a cloud of electrons around a central positive nucleus. This negative cloud can move relative to the nucleus, creating a dipole. And the movement of the cloud back and forth is a harmonic oscillator.

We consider it more accurate to describe the processing
of genetic information by quantum channels, as the interactions
between molecules are determined by laws of
quantum mechanics.

So where is the wave?

What happens to these oscillations, or phonons as physicists call them, when the base pairs are stacked in a double helix.

Phonons are quantum objects, meaning they can exist in a superposition of states and become entangled, just like other quantum objects.

~

Phonons have a wavelength which is similar in size to a DNA helix and this allows standing waves to form, a phenomenon known as phonon trapping. When this happens, the phonons cannot easily escape. A similar kind of phonon trapping is known to cause problems in silicon structures of the same size.

That would be of little significance if it had no overall effect on the helix. But the model developed by Rieper and co suggests that the effect is profound.

The de Broglie–Bohm theory expresses in an explicit manner the fundamental non-locality of quantum physics. The velocity of any one particle depends on the value of the wavefunction, which depends on the whole configuration of the universe.

This theory is deterministic. Most (but not all) relativistic variants require a preferred frame. Variants which include spin and curved spaces are known. It can be modified to include quantum field theory.

People such as Josephson, Stapp, Penrose and others have suggested changes in quantum theory which allow for the possibility of "intent" or the like to bias quantum outcomes, but that all these authors operate using the Copenhagen picture in which there really is a "collapse" of the wavefunction.

in Bohmian mechanics with the mental aspect of the universe, generally: the particles are "matter," "mind" the pilot-wave.

That might be uninteresting except for the next step:the "mental" aspect of the universe can be upgraded to life and consciousness by self-organization. This happens when a physical system uses its own nonlocality in its organization. In this case a feedback loop is created, as follows: the system configures itself so as to set up its own Bohmian pilot wave, which in turn directly affects its physical configuration which then affects its nonlocal pilot wave which affects the configuration, etc...

Normally in quantum mechanics this "back-action" is not taken into account. The wave guides the particles but the back-action of the particle onto the wave is not systematically calculated - of course, the back-reaction is physically real: the movement of the particle determines the initial conditions of the next round of calculation. But there is no systematic way to characterize such feedback. One reason that this works in practice is that for systems that are not self organizing the back-action may not exert any systematic effect. This is an interesting way to utilize nonlocality.

Geometry acts on Matter/Energy telling it how to move,
while Matter/Energy has a reciprocal Back-Reaction on Geometry telling it how to bend.

Quantum wave functions describe the distributions of electrons in atoms, molecules, and solids. There are many electrons in a DNA molecule and many wave functions are necessary to describe them all...

~

Since the early days of quantum physics, its influence on biology has always been present in a reductionist sense: quantum physics and electrodynamics shape all molecules and thus determine molecular recognition, the workings of proteins, and DNA. Also van der Waals forces, discrete molecular orbitals, and the stability of matter: all this is quantum physics and a natural basis for life and everything we see.

Pondering still....What's next....

A calculation of the energy levels for the DNA base units A-T and G-C, along with the forms G-T, G-C excited and G-C anion, was made. The lifetime of the proton on each of the levels and tunnelling time through the barrier at each level was then determined. Finally, the distribution and tunnelling of the protons on the levels for various densities of radiation was considered. Graphs were plotted which showed that considerable tunnelling could take place for radiation in resonance with the levels.

'Quantum jitters' may drive DNA mutations {Duke University Research}

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGK65NuyNtQ

Duke University researchers have discovered “quantum jitters,” in which the basic building blocks of DNA and RNA can temporarily change shapes, fooling the cell's machinery into making a mismatched base pair. This shape-shifting of bases is exceedingly rare and only flickers into existence for a thousandth of a second. But these jitters occur with the same frequency as DNA copying mistakes, a hint that this might be the basis of the genetic mutations that drive evolution and diseases like cancer.

https://phys.org/news/2015-03-quantum-jitters-basis-evolution-cancer.html

This tiny movement, or "quantum jitter," takes such an enormous amount of energy that bases are successful at accomplishing the feat only once out of every 10,000 or so attempts. Even then, they can only hold their new shape for a very short period of time—50 to 200 microseconds—before the hydrogens pop back into their original position.

Because DNA shape-shifting involves atomic-level movements in larger molecules, it has been impossible to detect by conventional methods. Therefore, Al-Hashimi's team decided to use a sophisticated technique called NMR relaxation dispersion, which he likens to "MRI on steroids," to visualize these fleeting, nearly invisible changes.

The researchers looked back at previous biological studies and found that these rare alternative states appeared in the DNA about as often as the polymerase machinery's copying errors.

"This is a remarkable study that illuminates a fundamental mechanism responsible for the random mutations that drive evolution and contribute to cancer," said Bert Vogelstein, M.D., a cancer researcher at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine who was not involved in this research.

Kimsey said that a better understanding of how these jitters arise could help in the development of new treatments to fight cancer cells and viruses, for example, forcing them to mutate at a quicker rate so they eventually stop functioning.

"We know that certain carcinogens like 5-bromouridine can make these jitters occur more frequently, said Kimsey, who is lead author of the study. "Therefore, we can use this knowledge to tailor drugs that more rapidly induce cancer cells or viruses to make so many mistakes that they mutate uncontrollably and eventually die."

Yesterday just so happened for me in the early morning I was indeed inside an MRI tube. It is loud and vibrates. It's imaging done with sound.

As I was sitting inside this tube with my eyes closed the various sounds were applied.

But then I noticed a different view of what what happening.

Something we often refer to as Vibration.

Now I've heard over the years every new age notation to vibration....raise your vibration etc etc....but yesterday it was different.

vibrations were radiating off my brain for an image.

Yes we are all vibrating at a specific resonance....but what if...There were actually a way as said above:

As Kimsey said that a better understanding of how these jitters arise could help in the development of new treatments to fight cancer cells and viruses, for example, forcing them to mutate at a quicker rate so they eventually stop functioning.

That:

We know that certain carcinogens like 5-bromouridine can make these jitters occur more frequently, said Kimsey, who is lead author of the study. "Therefore, we can use this knowledge to tailor drugs that more rapidly induce cancer cells or viruses to make so many mistakes that they mutate uncontrollably and eventually die."

I'm not sure where they are going with that in terms of drugs to induce....but what if such a vibration/jitter occurs that it does indeed cause the cancer to make so many mistakes that it mutates uncontrollably and dies?

And where exactly would you find such a "jitter/vibration" devise to do that? Would it require a whole body application if it existed? Or perhaps direct targeting? Is that an even reasonable idea?

Well...YES!

Targeted treatment of cancer with radiofrequency electromagnetic fields amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies

Abstract
In the past century, there have been many attempts to treat cancer with low levels of electric and magnetic fields. We have developed noninvasive biofeedback examination devices and techniques and discovered that patients with the same tumor type exhibit biofeedback responses to the same, precise frequencies. Intrabuccal administration of 27.12 MHz radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (EMF), which are amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies, results in long-term objective responses in patients with cancer and is not associated with any significant adverse effects. Intrabuccal administration allows for therapeutic delivery of very low and safe levels of EMF throughout the body as exemplified by responses observed in the femur, liver, adrenal glands, and lungs. In vitro studies have demonstrated that tumor-specific frequencies identified in patients with various forms of cancer are capable of blocking the growth of tumor cells in a tissue- and tumor-specific fashion. Current experimental evidence suggests that tumor-specific modulation frequencies regulate the expression of genes involved in migration and invasion and disrupt the mitotic spindle. This novel targeted treatment approach is emerging as an appealing therapeutic option for patients with advanced cancer given its excellent tolerability. Dissection of the molecular mechanisms accounting for the anti-cancer effects of tumor-specific modulation frequencies is likely to lead to the discovery of novel pathways in cancer.

Thoughts

This is BFD and I am soooo excited for you Brook.
In coming full circle (again), U are most definitely on to something!
And a whole lot more!!

On shape shifting:

There was a time long ago when earth beings could completely shapeshift from one form into another. As personal power began to be lost, they began to be only able to partially shift back to original form leaving half or part of themselves stuck in the form they had shifted into – what today is know as Therianthropy.

I’ve always wondered what was going on physiologically in that dynamic.
I think U might be on to something in this regard as well.

On cosmology:

Does anyone see a connection here to the Hegelian dialectic?
I can't put it into words but that's what I'm getting.

A lot of potential in those ideas, Shadowself...

For sure worth pursuing...I particularly like the notion of quantum behaviors and a possible link to the literal limitless ability for DNA to build not only upon itself but to build things not limited by what it has built before. That's the truly mystifying part of it to me given the foundational notions of natural selection. At a very basic degree of structure DNA is remarkable.

The frequency would have to be the High and the Low. So one could play a Cello and another play a Violin in F# and there it is...! They could record it on a CD, couldn't they? Or is the pitch too high for that...just thinking out loud.

This is interesting. :h5:

Agreed Elen...it sounds quite simple. But I have a feeling it's far more complicated. Just in case it is that simple I searched for a two tone 11th harmonic sound and spent some time listening to it.

In this paper I added above...they mention Rife on several levels of his research which I posted yesterday.

From the same paper:

Rife hypothesized that a number of bacilli were causal factors in many diseases, especially cancer. In the mid 1930s, he developed a microscope able to see these bacilli and invented the Rife Frequency Generator, commonly called Rife Ray Machine, which he claimed could diagnose and eliminate diseases like cancer by tuning into electrical impulses given off by diseased tissue. The American Medical Association condemned Rife's experiments.

Until recently, virtually all medical devices aimed at treating cancer using low levels of electric and/or magnetic fields were considered quackery because of lack of scientific proof

High-energy ionizing radiation is frequently used in medicine for both the diagnosis [computed tomography (CT) and X-ray radiograply] and treatment (radiotherapy) of disease. The use of low-intensity RF EMF in medicine is much less common. While uncertainties regarding efficacy remain, there is increasing evidence that some forms of RF EMF exposure may be beneficial for the diagnosis and treatment of disease

EMF has also been used as a therapeutic modality. Pulsed EMF have shown efficacy on osteoarthritis. Alternating electric fields have been used to induce fracture healing, with suggested efficacy similar to that of bone graft. The proposed action of pulsed EMF is through the induction of directed migration and differentiation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Currently, RF EMF is used as a therapeutic option in cases ranging from tibial stress fractures to spinal cord injury.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a therapeutic option commonly used to treat malignancies including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and especially surgically unresectable metastases. RFA is administered with medical devices operating between 460 and 550 kHz and delivering therapeutic energy to soft tissues. This modality destroys tumor tissue through heat-induced necrosis by raising their temperature to approximately 100°C for approximately 15 min

Laboratory and clinical evidence suggests that certain frequencies within the RF EMF range of the spectrum may have antitumor effects without causing hyperthermia in patients with breast cancer, HCC, ovarian cancer, thyroid cancer, or glioblastoma multiforme. The NovoTTF-100A technology applies alternating electric fields by means of electrodes placed on the skin overlying tumor-harboring body parts. This was the first EMF device of its kind approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States based on the results of a phase III trial for treating recurrent glioblastoma showing efficacy similar to the standard-of-care chemotherapy regimen but with fewer adverse effects

Pulsed electric fields have been developed for localized treatment of tumors. This approach is based on the use of short electric pulses inducing either irreversible or reversible changes in cell membrane permeabilization. Irreversible changes lead to cell death, and reversible changes allow for markedly increased chemotherapy penetration. The addition of therapeutic modalities based on RF EMF with minimal adverse effects is an exciting prospect for patients with cancer.

One final consideration with RF EMF-based therapies is possible synergy with frequently used chemotherapies. RF EMF in combination with bevacizumab and cyclophosphamide demonstrated no increase in adverse effects clinically, and similar findings were reported in vitro when EMF was used in combination with paclitaxel or cisplatin. These findings suggest that patients may not experience additional adverse effects from undergoing both chemotherapy and RF EMF therapy; moreover, simultaneous treatment with both modalities may have a synergistic effect.

Then the paper goes on to describe the various modalities of therapy using EMF pulse of various kinds and rates.

Why....I say Why is this not commonly used as it's been FDA approved? It's been proven effective....why?

This somewhat boggles my mind while I see daily from a group of cancer survivors in various treatments some of which have fallen to become even sicker and even led to death?

I said it before I'll say it again....Cancer is no fucking joke! Why in gods name would the doctors not utilize everything at their disposal?

It also appears that Rife was indeed onto something big and very correct!

More to come...I need more coffee!

Adding the conclusion of the paper here:

Conclusions

In summary, our clinical results provide strong evidence that the intrabuccal administration of RF EMF amplitude-modulated at tumor-specific frequencies is safe and well-tolerated and may lead to long lasting therapeutic responses in patients with advanced cancer. Our in vitro experiments demonstrate that cancer cell proliferation can be targeted using tumor-specific modulation frequencies, which were identified in patients diagnosed with cancer. Tumor-specific modulation frequencies block the growth of cancer cells, modify gene expression, and disrupt the mitotic spindle (Figure 6). Studies are underway to dissect the biophysical mechanism leading cancer cells to respond to specific modulation frequencies identified in patients with a corresponding diagnosis of cancer but not to randomly selected or tumor-specific frequencies identified in other tumor types. Elucidation of this mechanism of action is likely to unveil novel pathways and targets.

Hopes rise for new cancer treatment after tests with electromagnetism
Early trials on patients with advanced liver cancer show low-level fields could shrink tumours

Scientists have used low-intensity electromagnetic fields to treat cancer patients in trials which they say could lead to the development of a new type of anti-tumour therapy.

Patients hold a spoon-shaped antenna in their mouths to deliver a very low-intensity electromagnetic field in their bodies. In trials of patients with advanced liver cancer, the therapy – given three times a day – resulted in long-term survival for a small number of those monitored, the team has reported in the British Journal of Cancer. Their tumours shrank, while healthy cells in surrounding tissue were unaffected.

However, the scientists – from the US, Brazil, France and Switzerland – also stressed that the technique was still in its infancy and would require several years for further trials to take place. "This is a truly novel technique," said the team's leader, Professor Boris Pasche of the University of Alabama, Birmingham. "It is innocuous, can be tolerated for long periods of time, and could be used in combination with other therapies."

Pasche added that he had obtained permission from the US Food and Drug Administration to carry out trials on large groups of patients and was talking to companies in the US, Asia, South America, Russia and Europe about raising funds for future research.

In 2009, Pasche and his colleagues published results in the Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cancer Research which showed that low-level electromagnetic fields at precise frequencies – ranging from 0.1Hz to 114kHz – halted cancer cell growth in small numbers of patients. Different cancers responded to electromagnetic fields of different frequencies. Cells in surrounding, healthy tissue were unaffected.

The exact mechanism for this process was not explained in the paper. However, results of recent experiments by the team – using cancer cell cultures in the laboratory and published in the British Journal of Cancer – suggest that low-level electromagnetic fields interfere with the activity of genes in cancer cells. In specific cases, this affected the ability of cancer cells to grow and divide. The spread of tumours halted and in some cases they began to shrink.

"This is extremely exciting," said Pasche. "We think the technique could also be used to treat breast tumours and possibly other forms of cancer."

The use of electromagnetic fields was also welcomed, cautiously, by Eleanor Barrie of Cancer Research UK: "This research shows how specific low frequencies of electromagnetic radiation can slow the growth of cancer cells in the lab. It's still unclear why the cancer cells respond in this way, and it's not yet clear if this approach could help patients, but it's an interesting example of how researchers are working to find new ways to home in on cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed."

The use of electromagnetic fields to treat tumours may seem surprising given recent controversy over claims that fields generated by mobile phones and electricity pylons can trigger cancers and leukaemia. However, Pasche stressed that the intensity of the fields used in his team's experiments were between 100 and 1,000 times lower than those from a mobile phone. "In any case, the evidence produced from major studies of users of these phones does not suggest there is a clearly identifiable risk posed by these electromagnetic fields," he said.

I heard about this treatment many years ago that was done in Japan. Then I never heard anything more about it. I thought it had been disregarded completely, but searching it up on Google...this came up. I know it has nothing to do with frequencies, but an interesting addendum nonetheless. Please forgive me if I digress.

In the rich world, cancer therapy is expensive. In the developing world, it may not be available at all. Not only is cutting-edge technology in short supply, but so are things like electricity and medical personnel. The lack of necessary resources for basic healthcare is made obvious by the fact that, if diagnosed with cancer, a person in the developing world is more likely to die from it than a person in the developed world.

To help alleviate this problem, cheap, uncomplicated, portable, and preferably non-surgical treatments that do not require electricity are needed. Now, a team of researchers from Duke University has shown that injecting an ethanol-based gel directly into a specific type of tumor, called squamous cell carcinoma, resulted in a 100% cure rate in a hamster model.

The authors were already aware of a therapy known as ethanol ablation. If ethanol (the type of alcohol found in your favorite adult beverages) is injected into a tumor, it destroys proteins and causes the cells to dehydrate and die. Ethanol ablation is used to treat one type of liver cancer, and its success rate is similar to that of surgery. Better yet, it costs less than $5 per treatment.

Ethanol ablation faces several limitations. First, it only works well for tumors that are surrounded by a fibrous capsule. Second, it requires large amounts of ethanol, which can damage nearby tissue as it leaks out. And third, it requires multiple treatments.

To overcome these hurdles, the authors mixed ethanol with ethyl cellulose, creating a solution that when injected into the watery environment of a tumor turns into a gel, which remains close to the injection site. After they practiced injecting their solution into imitation tumors (what they called "mechanical phantoms"), the authors turned to a hamster model.

The team induced the formation of oral cancer (specifically, squamous cell carcinoma) in hamster cheek pouches by rubbing them with a carcinogen called DMBA. After about 22 weeks, tumors (without capsules) formed.

In the control group, tumors were injected with pure ethanol. The results were not good. After seven days, 0 of 5 tumors regressed completely. (Tumors injected with a large amount of ethanol -- four times the volume of the original tumor -- performed better: 4 of 12 regressed completely.) The results for the ethanol gel were far superior. After seven days, 6 of 7 tumors regressed completely. (By the eighth day, all 7 tumors were gone, for a cure rate of 100%.)

As merely a proof-of-concept in an animal model with small sample sizes, obviously more work needs to be done. Still, the results are incredibly promising. The team's findings suggest that merely a single injection of their special ethanol-based gel may be sufficient to cure certain types of tumors. They believe their technique may be applicable to some breast cancers and cervical precancerous lesions.

Furthermore, any technological advances that result from the team's research will have applicability not only to the developing world but to the developed one, as well.

I have a friend who is not on any forums and has seen this thread of information and she writes:

Because the FDA and big pharma do not want cures. They would rather treat you with very expensive drugs that don't provide a cure but will keep you alive long enough for them to profit immensely off your cancer and keeping it at bay. To cure you that easily would mean there is no profit in medicine.

Something tells me though that they will not be able to hide or get rid of these technologies as it is the future. Resonance physics cannot be hidden.

~

Also...the thought occurred to me they've been using ultrasound for awhile now for kidney stones....it blasts/shatters them apart with sound for easier passing. Of course these tumors are not calcified but the frequency in the one video I posted where the two tones of the 11th harmonic and watching them blister was amazing! This I don't understand why they are not using this like in my case where I had a short time before my airway was becoming blocked. You would think that would be their first line of defence for a situation like that. But for me it was chemo and the progression of the drug to shrink it. What does someone do when they cannot take the chemo?

I've seen several people in that lung cancer group I joined where they simply cannot tolerate the chemo in any way shape or form. Many of them end up with very adverse reactions. I suppose I've been lucky as my reactions have been pretty much the norm and even though I could not tolerate the full dose I was able to tolerate the lower dose and it did it's job shrinking that big tumor.

I just don't get why they are not using this more often and why it's not been publicized more in the medical news.

Seems pretty strange if you ask me!

HistoSonics’ unique histotripsy platform will fundamentally change the nature of surgery. Histotripsy uses the mechanical (not thermal) properties of focused ultrasound to precisely destroy targeted tissues without damaging surrounding tissue or structures.

Christine is the CEO of Histosonics, a life sciences startup based in Ann Arbor. HistoSonics is leading the coming revolution in histotripsy, a non-invasive, non-thermal surgery that will reduce patient trauma and healthcare costs across multiple indications.

~

Researchers from the University of Michigan (U-M) and the University of Wisconsin (U-W) will present exciting results of preclinical studies, done in collaboration with HistoSonics, at the World Conference on Interventional Oncology (WCIO) in Boston, MA this week.

Four presentations about HistoSonics’ Robotically Assisted Sonic Therapy (RAST™), as well as the underlying science (known as histotripsy), will be presented:

· The University of Wisconsin’s Amanda Smolock, MD, PhD, will discuss recently completed preclinical research, sponsored by HistoSonics, in her talk “Robotically Assisted Sonic Therapy (RAST) for Non-Invasive Liver Ablation in a Porcine Animal Model,” highlighting the potential future role for RAST in interventional oncology (IO).

Now in its twelfth year, WCIO was created to “establish, nurture and support interventional oncology (IO) as the fourth pillar of cancer therapy alongside medical, surgical and radiation oncology worldwide,” according to WCIO Chair Jeff Geschwind, MD. The planned presentations to leading interventional oncologists and others in the IO community will help lay the groundwork for RAST’s future use in treating a wide range of soft tissue tumors, including liver, kidney, pancreas and brain.

“Our mission is to develop a new platform in cancer care that is non-invasive, requiring no needles or incisions, is extremely effective and precise, provides for quick recovery and minimal disruption to the patient’s life, and is affordable for all,” said Mr. Blue. “Worldwide, cancer has the biggest economic impact of any cause of death, and together with the IO community, we are confident that we can make a difference.”

Commenting on the presentations, HistoSonics’ Senior Medical Advisor and ablation thought leader Dr. Fred Lee added, “The pre-clinical work presented on RAST at this year’s WCIO offers great promise for the future of this new platform. The potential of a non-invasive modality that can deliver the types of ablations we are seeing in the animal lab is extremely exciting.”

It uses focused sound energy to treat diseased tissue non-invasively. The mechanical aspect of this focus sound allows us to make the treatment area very precise," says Gibbons. "We believe it will be attractive to clinicians because it can be visualized in real time with an ultrasound or MRI, and will address a significant unmet clinical need."

The investment will help advance clinical trials of the company’s Robotic Assisted Sonic Therapy, an innovative tissue-destruction technology used to treat liver cancer and other solid tumor applications.

Pharmaceutical companies and NHS, for instance, work closely. Patient list buildups pleases them, patient lists grow, never reduce, especially in the areas of cancer, alzheimers, strokes. NHS frowns on alternative therapies, they promote them very rarely.

A few years ago, I couldn't walk very far, and every 5 minutes I would have to stop for a while before continuing. I cured myself by using omega 3, hawthorn berries and gingko biloba. I have been walking like a trooper ever since, although it took me a while to achieve.

I used to run the nerve conduction clinic at Hammersmith Hospital and told a patient who attended, suffering from the same condition as me, and told her about the remedy, and got into trouble for so doing.

I know...I'm perplexed too. It seems to work quite well in fact. Less invasive...less dangerous...and more effective!

WTF eh?

On a side note; after years of donning sunglasses I have finally decided to change my avatar! Now I just have geeky glasses....LOL I used that in my fundraiser and kind of liked it because it reminded me of my first bulldog Spike when he was a puppy. That of course was Christmas with the tree behind us. I was really happy at that time and I want to be happy again...so change is the way to make that happen! I'm going to make many changes for the better here and my avatar is a start!

Another funny thing about the new avatar....at the time I was working two jobs...receptionist during the day and cocktail waitress in the evening...I did not have a car so I took the bus everywhere including work...and I was going to college on the off evenings I was not working. Fun times...hard work but worth it as I also was a single mother with two children at the time....I was still very happy!

Should I tell you where I got those sunglasses I used to wear?

First off, I love your self portraits.... you are very talanted in many directions.

I started thinking A LOT about the PEMF topic I mentioned in my thread as my dog has a serious spine issue. I am SO EXCITED to say that after only two days, her symptoms are MUCH better. She was acting like she does not feel well, not wanting to do much. After using the ActiPatch (PetPatch, same thing) for 6 hours she immediately was more active. Then she has been running around on our walks, digging for moles, chasing down a rat.... all after two days.

The application is based on some of the work you are investigating. I am sure that part of the issue with the healthcare system is that all systems are ONLY seeking to maintain themselves. The bigger the system, the bigger the hold it places on change. That to me is a fact. So we have to learn ow to bypass the systems all together or work with our own minds to use and to not be overcome by the faults. I maaintain that given the appropriate self empowerment and connection to love, we can walk through fire. But that means we have to be that kind of being.... we are learning how IMO. That is MY bottom line.

My bigger interest is what we can do to make an end run around all machines: technology we must buy, authorities we must obey and experts we must employ and that is a much bigger issue.

For now, there are MANY complementary ways to support ourselves. I am sure that we must observe form the vantage point that the body is a self healing organism and avoid pessimism. Also, I think that removing the fear is a necessary step. Then looking at everything as OUR PERMISSION to heal is so important.

The application is based on some of the work you are investigating. I am sure that part of the issue with the healthcare system is that all systems are ONLY seeking to maintain themselves.

Glad the pup's doing better.

Yes...there is something to this. I noticed that this guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZvAOgOFPtI&t=2s

Who was in the TED video where it blistered and shattered the cancer cells...appears to have flatly failed.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/shattering-cancer-with-electronic-signals-help-us-equip-the-new-lab#/

Raising a sum total of $3523.00 to support his research and lab.

That to me is very strange...given the results from the experiments...which clearly show it shattering the cancer cells.

So the other day I did a sort of experiment myself. I'm wondering if that helped in my being able to breathe better?

What I did was play two frequencies at the same time. I have no idea if they are in the 11th harmonic...but I tried it anyhow...here is what I did. I used my headphones and played the two videos at the same time. The videos were these:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWEY1cWIjGE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXN5j39AT6M

I only did it one time then promptly forgot about it until today. It occurred to me that perhaps that may have had something to do with new found ability to breathe without wheezing. I just don't know. So I tried it again today and will try it a few more times throughout the day. We'll see.

~

I noted today also that there are 7 mutations in the DNA that are behind the specific cancer I have.

As I had written in the first post that Water Shapes DNA and Quantum Entanglement Holds DNA Together. The water sheath's restructuring, which is actually an energetic advantage, increases the binding of the active agent'. It still "identifies" the double helix so precisely due to the fact that highly structured water molecules are released when it coalesces with the genetic material.

So naturally as the whole body is comprised of water it may very well through listening to the frequency cause an effect where it somewhat creates a wave function of sorts on the DNA. While not directly applied to the area of the tumor...it may have the same effect as quantum entanglement right? It does not seem impossible particularly if the specific frequency is thought to effect that specific type of cancer cells. If there is a wave of particles that would be affected by the frequency there must be a back reaction as well...causing...???

I did some research on that today and will share that later but it appears that certain kinds of cancer have their own frequency as well. This is from another source and not the guy with the failed fundraiser for a lab. It's actually been studied and gotten some approval from the FDA if you can believe that.

So the FDA and medical community know that not only does certain kinds of cancer have a specific frequency...they also know it responds favorably to that frequency in controlling the spreading of the disease within the body host.

Yet...they do not use it in any regular therapy. curious right?

Still working on this...just sharing for now.

Oh I should add that when I listened to the two frequencies today that I just posted at the same time I did notice the spot in my back where the primary tumor in my lung resides causes the most pain....the frequencies caused it to activate not in pain but it caused a distinct itching/tingling sensation. Will report back any changed while doing this experiment as I go along as well.

I maaintain that given the appropriate self empowerment and connection to love, we can walk through fire. But that means we have to be that kind of being.... we are learning how IMO. That is MY bottom line.

Yup, yup, yup, absolutely!

My bigger interest is what we can do to make an end run around all machines: technology we must buy, authorities we must obey and experts we must employ and that is a much bigger issue.

We are learning. And the steep curve is beginning to flatten...

For now, there are MANY complementary ways to support ourselves. I am sure that we must observe form the vantage point that the body is a self healing organism and avoid pessimism.

The solution lay within the problem. Which, for me is me. Both the problem and the solution. All these various cutting edge modalities can make haste. We come blessed with the potential to try any of them on and then feel within for discernment and a knowing that such n such is right for me to pursue at this time or not. Body will tell us.

Also, I think that removing the fear is a necessary step. Then looking at everything as OUR PERMISSION to heal is so important.*

There are as many roads home as there are those who are on them. For me, the best approach to “removing' my fear is to allow it to express and evolve which, in turn, evolves me.

And involves a 2 step process:

1) by going into the terror with intent toward acceptance for it and an invitation toward it to teach me what it has to teach followed by movement. Which is to say, allow it's true expression in sound and body movement. Both of those are vibrations. If the charge hits ignition this is where the real goodie is.

2) with intent to own and then release whatever judgements against this terror - or, or, or – may surface midst the movement. These may be kinckin' 'n screamin' or they may come into mind as very subtle thought patterns that contain beliefs. The release is formal and includes a request to MotherFatherGod to put it in its right place in Omniverse.

Judgement example:
If I move this terror it will manifest EXACTLY what I'm terrified about.

This, I've realized over time, is because my feelings are HOLDING the judgements and, when triggered, are mirroring those judgements back to mind that have been shoved into it by my mind.

How do I know this? They may already be in mind but not always. And how often are they awake and present in mind in the moment? In movement, they wake up or if held subconscious, come to mind.

Personally, I want my terror and/or fear to alert me when there is legitimate danger. So what i've come to through experience is that emotions, be they feel good or feel bad, are neither good or bad. Nor are they causal in this context. What is causal is the belief system and the Will provides the passion. Mind and Feelings, my Spirit and Will - 2 main ingredients in the recipe we use to cook up our experiences and bring them into manifestation. Hopefully, through Heart...

Letting process lead is to say letting body lead. It literally is an ongoing process, with layers upon layers to go through to get back to an original experience where a particular judgement was put into place. So in a way, its kinda like drivin' backwards to go forward. But the way I see it that last para of mine is just as how you put it for us in your last para Maggie.

When it was done I took off my headphones and fell straight off to sleep at 1AM until now...10 AM. I haven't been able to sleep like that since this started.

Woke up to slight pain as heck..my pain meds have worn off. But not too bad.

I chose the two together because that one guy not related to this site said it took two frequencies to kill the cancer cells. I also chose these two because they sounded farther apart in frequency...one high one low. Again I have no idea the harmonic frequency of the two but guessed they were far enough apart to perhaps work like the 11 harmonic frequency did.

I know it must be doing something because everytime I listen to the two sounds together I feel something going on in my chest area.

Your report is just over joying because the fact that you slept well is going to add so much to the arsenal of healing!!! i am also shuffed to hear that you are having visceral feedback when you experience the frequencies. AWESOME!

This subject of using strategies to increase voltage and to modulate frequency is IMO the most innovative tool belt we can slap on our hips to deal with the stress of life in the 21st century.

I just want to gush a bit here without the links which I will add later.

First of all, the model of the Electric Universe may not be actually complete but it makes sense of some macro human experience and activity that strikes the DNA and the mitochondria and the cell membranes and the whole activity that starts in us at the very small in our body and the large in our human to human membrains transactions. I am not well versed in the EU but I want to share my experience here.

For years I have seen all kinds of light manifestations. One I see a lot is a blue flash. lately it is taking on a mauve tone and sometimes the flashes seem far away, sometimes right next to me. The vision is of a brief round flash. I think the flashes are not random but I have no sense of why or when except that I first acquired this vision when I was learning a healing art. The association with the flashes is that I was told they are evidence of healing activity in that discipline. The art is called Divine Intervention.

DI's story is that Starr Fuentes was a researcher of ancient healing arts. Her bio is quite outlandish, like a female mystical Indiana Jones and she is a huge character. She is in her 70's but has extreme youthful vitality. DI comes from her sojourn in Mexico. She studied with a lineage of curanderas of Mayan tradition. These women were midwives and healers. One remarkable assertion Starr makes is that a healer could "teleport" or fast walk (like the Tibetan trance runners) in some way to her clients. For instance a woman might be in a difficult labor miles and miles away and the midwife would appear too quickly to come by conventional means.

Starr Fuentes taught DI to students and I learned from one of her students: Suzan Rossi and her friend who's name I forget. DI is a process where the healer creates a space for Divine activity. I first was led to seriously study energy blocks in 2006 after learning this technique. It is the healers field clearing that brings more opportunity for DI to be powerful. There is a kind of initiation involved which links me to generations that date back to the Maya and before.

I have not personally witnessed an aspect claimed for DI: that physical manifestations of healing as in the example of physical matter from psychic surgery may occur?

One apocryphal story is that the two teachers who taught me were together in a car full of other students when they broadsided another car or maybe were almost broadsided? At any rate, one car mysteriously passed through another without any collision. This occurred after a morning of their work in DI and they were still in the effect of establishing a wide space for Divine work.

I also have seen colorful auras in clear view with Suzan and at some other times. I always see the opalescent haze around people.

At night I see other lights which have a few similar looks. There is a sideways flash downwaards at a 4 to 8 streak if on a clock face. there are some other lightning type lights in the atmosphere and many clear flashes. I never saw any UFO but I did once have a waking vision of a brown cloud with clear flashes that coalsesced into a solid shape like a bread slice and streaked away about 200 feet overhead. It was followed by an equally odd shape of a bird that was two dimensional. The bird shape was chasing the brown shape. Very very odd>

I think plasma is just about the best explanation for the energy field. A bubble with a membrane that separates in a seemingly convincing fashion surrounds and interpenetrates. I think more than ever that Bruce Lipton explains how this membrane IS the brain in cells and the plasma of us has a membrane and the local field stores information.

The information gets congealed IMO. IMO I use my imagination to clear congestion.

Voltage is what we need to stay healthy and many issues of refreshing voltage are what i am very interested in these days.
We are electromagnetic. Information and energy create the body and what is within is without, what is above (in a larger context) is what is seen below. What we experience is always AFTER what is created by US in our multidimensional being. This is massively exciting to me.

Here is discussion of the membrane. How do WE on the macro plasma membrane interact with the environment. Things like "boundaries" of the skin and at the auric membrain where we meet others. This subtle level of the body is a "physical" mechanism of the electromagnetic layer which we are learning to keep well charged.

This is about the cell but is analogic to the plasma membrane that exists at the subtle field level.

What is a Plasma Membrane?
Imagine a water balloon. Prick it with a needle and the water would burst out everywhere; no more water balloon. Now, imagine a new water balloon in a bathtub full of water. What if the balloon itself was porous and could choose when water could flow in and out of the balloon? That's sort of like what a plasma membrane is to a cell.

The plasma membrane is the boundary between the cell and its environment. It regulates what enters and exits the cell. Cells must maintain an appropriate amount of molecules to function inside them. They must also have a way to keep things out or to allow things to enter. This is the job of the plasma membrane. The plasma membrane is like the guard at a gated community. The guard must inspect those who enter and those who leave to make sure that only the people and things needed in the community are there.

Plasma Membrane Structure
The plasma membrane is composed of a phospholipid bilayer, which is two layers of phospholipids back-to-back. Phospholipids are lipids with a phosphate group attached to them. The phospholipids have one head and two tails. The head is polar and hydrophilic, or water-loving. The tails are nonpolar and hydrophobic, or water-fearing.

Since water is the key component of living organisms, both inside and outside of the cell, this causes the phospholipids to line up in two layers with the heads pointing outward and the tails hidden in the middle. It basically looks like a phospholipid sandwich with the heads forming the bread and the tails forming the meat in the middle.

Located all throughout the surface of the plasma membrane are cholesterol molecules. These molecules help stabilize the phospholipids and keep them in position. The plasma membrane is also dotted with proteins. Some of the proteins are peripheral proteins that only go halfway through the membrane, while others are integral proteins that go entirely through the membrane. These proteins serve as channels to allow the molecules to enter and leave the cell.

Function of the Plasma Membrane of a Cell
You are comfortable in your house largely because the thermostat maintains the temperature within a certain range regardless of what is happening outside. Similarly, all living cells must maintain a balance regardless of external or internal conditions. This includes regulating what can enter and exit the cell. The plasma membrane serves as a gateway to allow or block the entry or exit of materials.https://study.com/academy/lesson/plasma-membrane-of-a-cell-definition-function-structure.html

A major problem in biology is the internal motion of proteins. Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania using Magnetic Resonance Imaging were surprised to discover that the calmodulin protein molecule possesses an internal "jitter" that shakes it billions of times per second. This revelation led them to conclude that it is not merely the complex folded shape of such molecules that affects their function, but their internal movement.

According to Dr. Joshua Wand, “The situation is akin to the discussion in astrophysics in which theoreticians predict that there is dark matter, or energy, that no one has yet seen.”

Where the internal energy necessary for protein binding comes from is unknown at the present time, but it seems likely, based on research with electrostatic fields on various organisms, that there is an electrical component to the source. Cell walls are arranged in a double layer configuration with positive and negative ion channels built-in.

A book called The Primeval Code (Der Urzeit-Code) was recently published in Switzerland, detailing experiments that demonstrate how a changing electric field can alter gametes so much that new species are created.

According to author Luc Bürgin, "In laboratory experiments the researchers there Dr. Guido Ebner and Heinz Schürch exposed cereal seeds and fish eggs to an 'electrostatic field' – in other words, to a high voltage field, in which no current flows. Unexpectedly primeval organisms grew out of these seeds and eggs: a fern that no botanist was able to identify; primeval corn with up to twelve ears per stalk; wheat that was ready to be harvested in just four to six weeks. And giant trout, extinct in Europe for 130 years, with so-called salmon hooks. It was as if these organisms accessed their own genetic memories on command in the electric field, a phenomenon, which the English biochemist, Rupert Sheldrake, for instance believes is possible."

Electric Universe advocates recognize that plasma is a self-organizing phenomenon. Indeed, Irving Langmuir coined the name because he saw that collections of charged particles isolate themselves from their surroundings in ways that are similar to biological systems. A cell membrane could be thought of as a Langmuir plasma sheath, sustaining a voltage difference between the negatively charged interior and the positively charged exterior. Electric currents most likely maintain charge separation across the membrane layers.http://www.thunderbolts.info/tpod/2010/arch10/100630biology.htm

Charged bodies embedded in plasma create about themselves a protective cocoon of plasma, rather like a living cell wall. This cell wall is known as a Langmuir plasma sheath, or ‘double layer,’ which contains most of the voltage difference between the charged body and the surrounding plasma. Only an electric current sustains the charge separation across the double layer. If the surrounding plasma is moving relative to the charged body, the plasma sheath is drawn out into a teardrop or cometary shape. And if the charged body is rotating it will generate a magnetic field that is trapped inside the plasma sheath. This has led to the misnomer — “magnetosphere” — when referring to a plasma sheath.

The father of plasma cosmology, Hannes Alfvén, expressed the opinion that double layers should be classed as “a new type of celestial object.” They are responsible for the radio noise from ‘radio’ galaxies. In interstellar space they produce the cosmic microwave radiation, mistakenly interpreted as the afterglow from the mythical big bang. Alfvén tentatively suggested that X-ray and gamma ray bursts may be due to exploding double layers.

An important feature of plasma sheaths, or double layers, is that the electric field on either side of the thin double layer is very weak and the plasma there is ‘quasi neutral.’ That’s why we do not see evidence of a strong electric field from the charged Sun, and why the ‘solar wind’ appears to be electrically neutral. For this reason, the bulk movement and magnetic field of the ‘solar wind’ best signify the Sun’s electrical activity.

Yesterday I was only able to listen to the two frequencies in the morning. I doubled the time I listened...in other words I listened to the videos together two times in a row.

Then I was unable to listen to it in the evening as I had eaten some rather rich food which made me queasy with an upset stomach. I felt it not a good idea to listen to the frequencies as it perhaps might make me more queasy.

So today I started and am currently listening to it now two time is a row.

I will do the same before bedtime tonight.

Now what I've noticed and this may sound kind of gross....but when the cancer cells die...they have to be expelled from the body somewhere. Usually they are absorbed into the system and expelled as any other thing is expelled in the body through the kidneys or digestive system.

So I've noticed a bit of darkening in my urine. Not so much as to warrant calling the doctor in case of a kidney infection. I've also today noticed that I am coughing up flem that is clear and this is quite unusual. While I am still noticing that my breathing is fine...and my regular coughing has subsided to some greater degree....there is the stuff I'm expelling from my lungs and am wondering if this is in fact dead cancer cells in my lungs working their way out through the phlegm that is coming up.

I know...that's gross...sorry but it had to be noted for the experiment. Sorry if that offends the senses.

I just thought it was an important thing to keep an eye on as this experiment goes forward.

As for the cough..it's not the regular cough I've been experiencing...is seriously just from coughing this stuff out of my lungs.

Okay...enough of that eh?

I think perhaps if this is actually killing the cancer cells...I should be somewhat careful not to do too much at a time either...as this could present another kind of problem within the waste and digestive system as it handles it.

As I say this I'm actually giving these two frequencies three time a listen instead of two. Tonight I will only do it twice.

Also to be noted: I can take deep breaths now and no wheezing at all.

Good Morning again!

About four months ago I was told about this nurse from Canada who gained a small amount of attention in the area of curing cancer with a tea. So About four months ago I ordered that tea but have yet to try it.

Here is the nurse: Rene Caisse

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jojYLUwSjhI

Indigenous people were some of the first users of herbal teas for boosting health and well-being. Such is the case for essiac tea, which was used by the indigenous Ojibwa tribe of Canada. It wasn’t until 1922 that essiac tea became known, after a female nurse from Ontario named Rene Caisse reportedly obtained the recipe from the tribe.

Essiac, which is Caisse spelled backward,1 was then administered to the nurse's cancer patients, some of whom exhibited promising results. Because of this "breakthrough," essiac tea was promoted for mainstream use to the rest of North America. However, there was pushback from the medical establishment due to a lack of clinical drug trials, so, under U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines, it remains an unregulated supplement.2

Keep reading this article if you're curious about essiac tea's health benefits and how you can make your own essiac tea at home. You’ll also learn about the risk of potential side effects.

What Is Essiac Tea?
Essiac tea is an herbal remedy that originated from Canada. There are four herbs, which must be organic, that are typically used to make essiac tea: burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm and Indian rhubarb root.

Essiac tea is available in powder form or as a liquid that can be mixed with water. Manufacturers say that you can take this tea for one to two years.3 When drinking essiac tea, dosages must be tailored carefully for your condition, because excessive amounts can cause negative side effects.

Essiac Tea’s Health Benefits
A 2007 article published in the journal Anticancer Research noted that essiac tea offered antioxidant, immunostimulant and anti-inflammatory capabilities. For starters, essiac tea appeared to have greater antioxidant activity compared to red wine, green and black tea, and cocoa. Researchers noted that it “exhibited significant immunomodulatory effects, specifically through stimulation of granulocyte phagocytosis, increases in CD8+ cell activation, and moderately inhibiting inflammatory pathways.”4

Essiac tea has also been noted for its potential in helping combat cancer because of the herbs in this drink, mainly:

Sheep sorrel — According to the book “A Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs of Eastern and Central North America,” this antioxidant-rich herb5 may assist with targeting cancer cells and lowering risk of cancer development.6
Burdock root — Animal studies showed that burdock root has apoptotic effects on cancerous cells,7,8 and that a compound called benzaldehyde found in the root helped inhibit tumor prevention in animals.9
Indian rhubarb root — It not only has anti-inflammatory properties,10 but its extract is said to have anticancer properties.11
Slippery elm — This may aid in reducing inflammation,12 detoxifying the body,13 helping soothe respiratory infections and cutting through phlegm and mucus.14,15
Take note that while some studies on essiac tea have yielded positive results, modern medical practitioners remain skeptical about calling essiac tea a “cure” for cancer.16

Nutrition Facts of Essiac Tea
There isn’t sufficient information regarding the nutrition content of freshly brewed essiac tea without consulting nutrition databases of the individual herbs used to make the tea. Therefore the nutrition value will vary depending on the herbs used to make the tea, and how much of each herb is used.

Caffeine Content in Essiac Tea
Unlike other types of teas, essiac tea doesn’t caffeine, even in trace amounts.17

How to Make Essiac Tea Using the Traditional Recipe
An interesting fact about essiac tea is that the original formulation is still kept secret after being sold to a private company.18 Most researchers have debated on the amounts actually needed to make a batch of this tea, although the most common recommendations include:19

1.5 pounds burdock root
1 pound powdered sheep sorrel
1/4 pound slippery elm
1 pound rhubarb root (some recipes use Turkish rhubarb root)
When using fresh herbs, make sure that they are all certified organic. The website Essiac Facts provides some guidelines on selecting the best herbs for essiac tea:20

Sheep sorrel — Considered the most important of these herbs, purchase sheep sorrel that’s been harvested in the late spring (May to mid-June) before its flowers open.
Burdock root — It must be purchased and chopped fresh. Dried burdock root tends to become hard and difficult to chop.
Slippery elm — Its inner bark is best bought powdered.
Indian rhubarb root — You may buy rhubarb root in small pieces or powdered form.
Aside from these herbs, you'll need these tools to make essiac tea:21

Two glass or stainless steel pots (one with lid)
Stainless steel fine mesh strainer
Large stainless steel or wood stirring utensil
Stainless steel funnel or 2-cup glass measuring cup
Dark amber glass bottles with air-tight caps, or Mason jars with air-tight lids (for storage)
Refrain from using pots made of aluminum and copper, or those coated with Teflon, because the tea can react with these materials. Use just one pan for making essiac tea. If you have to use different pots, thoroughly scrub and sterilize them by filling with warm water, boiling with the lid on for 10 minutes and pouring out the water afterward.22

Now that you have your herbs and materials ready, you can make essiac tea by following these steps suggested by “Essiac: A Native Herbal Cancer Remedy:”

https://articles.mercola.com/teas/essiac-tea.aspx

So I've been sitting on this pack of Essiac tea for about four months deciding if I should take it or not and have decided to start it. mainly because of the detox effects. If I am killing the cancer with frequency as I hope is the case....the dead cells need to be washed out.

Now I don't think I'm in danger of something called Tumor lysis syndrome

Tumor lysis syndrome

Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a group of metabolic abnormalities that can occur as a complication during the treatment of cancer, where large amounts of tumor cells are killed off (lysed) at the same time by the treatment, releasing their contents into the bloodstream.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumor_lysis_syndrome

I'm not to worried about that as they are testing my blood weekly at the oncologist office. My blood work seems to be fine except two times when the white blood count was too low to do the chemo. My blood did in fact self correct and I did not need any blood transfusions.

But as I am doing the frequency along with the chemo...I think it might be a good idea to flush out my system of the dead cells if they may be too much at one time.

Today...still good breathing...no wheezing. fell asleep with the headphones on and woke up with the headphones on from the frequency I did late last night before I fell off to sleep.

I awoke with that phlegm in my throat again and coughed it out. Seems to be okay now...no more of that today.

I'm about ready to do the morning dose of frequency. Then I'm going to prepare the tea which I think might help. It sounds pretty good for you from what I've read so far. Will it cure cancer? I have no idea..but it will help the immune system to fight the cancer. So that's a plus in my book.

Here is one reason I've not made it yet....but will start this process of making it today.

A few years ago, a young friend of mine developed a blood cancer and I started giving him a product called 'OPC-3'. It actually is nothing more than oligomeric proanthocyanidins but has been exhaustively studied in France and now everywhere. I wrote a description of it on the Harvard Medical Center's public forum where it stayed up for a number of years. I don't think it is there anymore. But anyway, my friend's doctor suggested he 'not' use it because some classes of neutraceuticals were too effective in countering chemotherapies. So maybe, your reluctance to use the tea might have been an insightful move in the right direction.

Reporting in.

Yesterday I did the frequencies in the morning. But not in the evening. I'll tell you why...

After doing the frequencies I made the tea which is about ready for the second heating up/simmering before screening through a sieve and ready for consumption.

I started to get really tired...and remained tired the whole day. Napping on and off mostly. Then it hit me...

I started to get severe pain in my liver....again. I think this is from the chemo which had the same effect the last two rounds I've had of this chemo.....being told by the doctor the pain was most likely the encapsulation of the tumors and the tearing from the shrinking. Probably a good thing...but the damned pain was most certainly not!

I had a hard time yesterday even sitting up...so I spent most of the day and evening into the early morning (3:45 AM was the last time I saw the clock) in severe pain and tried to rest..then at 3:45 took one of my pain medications and the ativan for some nausea and relaxation from the severe pain so I could get some real rest. I promptly fell asleep and slept until around 7:45 this morning.

Most of the liver pain is gone now...and just a slight headache....which is there even though I'm taking the pain medication. They have offered me a higher dose of pain meds but for now I'm not going for it. The thought did occur to me yesterday with the severe pain in my liver area...but it has mostly subsided now.

I'm being cautious about doing too much at a time with the frequency and the chemo together as I don't want the dead cancer cells to overload into my bloodstream. That is the thing I documented yesterday called Tumor lysis syndrome

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumor_lysis_syndrome

While they do monitor my blood for this kind of thing....I still want to be cautious and not do too much at one time.

So...I'm about ready to get my tea prepared which I now think is a good idea as it seems to be good for the overall healthy effects. I tasted it yesterday and it's not too bad at all.

I will do the frequencies a little later today after I feel a bit better. I just don't want to overdo it as I sincerely think it's working...imagine that!

Have a great day guys!

What is it that is keeping the vegies fresh?

Scientists discover blasting fruit with cold plasma can keep it fresh for up to 3 weeks

It sounds like the stuff of science fiction — a low-energy, chemical-free process that can zap fresh produce, stopping mould spores from germinating and extending its shelf life for weeks.

But that's what scientists at Murdoch University have developed, and it's causing great excitement among growers in Western Australia and around the world.

"There is nothing worse than when you go to the supermarket, buy a punnet of strawberries, and two days later they have got grey fluff all over them," plant pathologist Dr Kirsty Bayliss said.

"They go mouldy within a few days and you throw them away and it is money down the drain.

"It's the same with avocados, which is one of the products we have been working on."

That is interesting Maggie. I think this is actually quite relevant to what the effects I've been experiencing....but plasma...interesting indeed.

I've been in severe pain again last night and also today a whole other issue is surfacing that I've been working to bury...which is not working and along a whole other spectrum.

I wish the frequency treatments had some way of working on my mental issues with this at the moment.

I've been quiet for the day as I've not been forthcoming on the fact that I've been dealing with something I've been self masking to a greater degree. I wish they had something for that. Been on a crying jag all day today. On and off...all day. Took some anxiety meds for it. I really don't want to be put on some meds for depression as that can be worse than the actual depression! So I'm just working through it.

I'm sure I'll be better by tomorrow....or in a day or so. But I'll still be masking it...If not I'll relent and see what the doc says.

While I'm working so hard to overcome this illness termed "terminal" it's that which is just lying under the surface of the mind and creeps out to just completely ruin your day! While I try so hard to hide it and keep it under wraps sometimes it just boils over and out spilling everywhere I look. "While I put on this facade of strength it sometimes takes over and coping is nonexistent. The only thing I can do when that happens is just let it out...spill on the floor and clean it all up later I guess...this of course is metaphorically speaking.

When dealing with this whole thing...I have to eventually face the fact that depression is a factor that cannot be denied....should not be ignored either. It can have a physical effect as well as mental. I've tried to ignore it but have all the listed symptoms of depression at this time. So I'd better get a handle on it in some fashion and really don't want to be taking any kind of depression meds. But I guess it's time to address that as well before it gets out of hand if it has not already.

Well I've got to get a handle on it to get better...otherwise it's going to get out of control. Anxiety pills are not cutting it. Meditation...is hard right now to do. I have been listening to some guided meditation to try to sleep with...and while it seems to help some I think it just masks it...and is not a permanent solution. Tried the CBD oil...it does nothing. So I'm going to have to address it somehow. Not sure just how yet. If anybody has any ideas you think might work I'm listening. Otherwise I'm probably going to have to consider depression meds as a last choice and I really don't want to do that.

I should be better in the next few days as it only comes and goes so far...but I as I said I have to stop ignoring it and burying it only for it to rise up again. It's not doing me any good at the moment.

Sorry for the depressing report on depression...but it needed to be said. As it's becoming a serious issue.

Good Morning,

Better this morning. Deliberately working on finding things that make me happy today. That helps. Even working through grief of the past is not as hard as this one...If you can imagine that given I've suffered PTSD during those times.

This has been way different. Almost smothering at times. I see the doctor tomorrow afternoon. I will discuss it with him then. I just know he's going to suggest meds which I do not want to take. I take enough meds...I don't need or want another kind of substance added to my body.

I have a friend who has some tapes (mp3) that she has been sharing with me. I'm going to see if she has anything for that.

Hi Shadowself,

I understand your reluctance to take 'one more med'. I do have a little different perspective on anti-depressive medication though.

I fought for over 20 years what is called 'dysthymia' which is a long term chronic depression. I tried to overcome it by sheer will and did actually make progress but there was always this 'nugget' of emotional maladjustment that wouldn't go away. I finally relented and went to a psychiatrist who prescribed the med. In a while, I began to regret that I waited for so long to take the step, and then in another while I actually forgot why the psychiatrist had prescribed it. This is not unusual because the effects are so profound in raising the 'sense of general well being' that one tends to forget the why.

There are also some 'natural' depression fighters, for example, St. John's Wort is one which i tried but it made me extremely jittery which is a big no-no for me.

First off, meds can often help, particularly when the side affects are tolerable. But as U already know and what many know and the med community is beginning to realize, there is no healing down such a road. They only mask and hope to mitigate what the vessel finds itself, in its current state, no longer capable of for itself.

That is, to COPE.

I found them not for me based on how my body reacted.

On the other hand, DX (dear X), who is both bipolar and DID (dissociative identy disorder), has used them for years. For one thing, it kept her from killing herself until she healed that predilection which was held in one of her alters she named, Saw Baby.

Only U can know and decide if meds are in order for U at this time. But U already know that.

DX's story is a long one and not mine to tell. But I know she would be fine with me saying the culmination of that particular aspect of her journey came suddenly in the midst of a major emotional event in which a core judgement arose and she was able to release the judgement that said she could not survive the pain generated by the circumstance she found herself faced with.

And I know she would be fine with where I'm going to go in part 2 of this comment.

I hope you will be able to receive it in the spirit intended which is to share our differentiated truths and stories with one another....

PART TWO

If anybody has any ideas you think might work I'm listening.

The entire med community is stymied by what to do about depression.
This is a fact!

Depression is as if an old dog
starin' at the dust down a country road...

Who is She?
What is comin' thru the window?

Gather up what is available from out there.
Gather together the sum total of your life's experiences
that add up to
YOUR TRUTH AS U KNOW IT
Then, carrying the gathered,
look and feel within.
For,
what is up now could be
the very next step in your process.
And
It could be that's what lay on the old oak table.

Such is only intended by this one
as a reminder,
for,
clearly,
this is exactly what U have been doing
and reporting your results here
for us to see and feel as we walk with U.

This is to say,
U have been allowing your process to lead U.
Such is the path home and home is where
one's outside reality matches their inside reality
in the ways one has desire for it to be,
where both are yummy!

For most of us
those realities do not match.
Thus, the war...

I try so hard to hide it and keep it under wraps

Thus, not all is yummy?

It is said, where ever in nature a poisonous plant grows,
within close proximity grows, too, its antidote.

palooka sez...
move into the problem for therein lay the solution.
U already know this, yes?

A Far Wiser Bird
who planted the seeds for both those plants
sez...

Feelings give movement to creation. Without feelings,
there is no desire and without desire, vibration would stop.
Vibration is life and so it follows that you must have desire to have life.

I have to eventually face the fact that depression is a factor that cannot be denied

The same Wise Bird sez...

Denial creates an experience or experiences
equal to or greater than the denial
so the denial may be cleared.

Further along those lines,
the Wise Bird sez...

What is the true response pilgrim?
Emotion, feelings,
are held in your magnetic centers.
How does this want to express?
In sound?
In body movement?
Allow yourself to express in those ways.
In private.
Without acting out upon others.
Without harming yourself or anyone else

The entire med community is stymied by what to do about depression.
This is a fact!

Sufferers of depression,
even those who are adventurist pilgrims,
are want to NOT feel into it.
Who could blame them?
Certainly not anyone who has ever experienced depression.
And everyone has experienced depression to one extent or another
because,

IT FEELS LIKE SHIT!
YES?

And so, we hear, coming from ourselves...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-JQ1q-13Ek

Well I've got to get a handle on it to get better...otherwise it's going to get out of control.

The Shadow Self KNOWS

AND

The Wise Bird sez...

As you move pay attention for thought patterns
that appear in the form of judgemental statements.
These often subtly surface in mind in response to emotional movement.

Well I've got to get a handle on it to get better...otherwise it's going to get out of control.

The statement COULD be a judgement
Many of us believe,
NO, such is NOT a judgement,
IT IS FACT

And the Wise Bird sez...
of course it is.
That's what judgements are.
Judgements manifest EXACTLY what they profess.

palooka sez....
In my own experience I have found,
judgements are often layered, one upon another.
They often originated in mind
during a past, unpleasant experience.
but these end up and are held in the Will
She reflects these back to Him.
Together they manifest our experiences.
Some of those experiences
appear for all the world to be
NOT in our best interests.

However,
EVERYTHING is a REFLECTION

In that spirit, ask yourself,
what will happen if your depression
gets out of control?

Example Judgement release...
I forgive myself for having judged
and for having believed for so long that,
if I let depression get out of control
(fill in the blank

But,
most of all,
and in the spirit of what is said around
the tables in the brother and sisterhood
of the empty chalice,
TAKE,
IF ANYTHING,
ONLY WHAT U NEED AND LEAVE THE REST

Artie sang it best
to all of us
for
all of us
about what we can be
for one another...

Wow! I seriously slept for the rest of yesterday...up and down a few times but mostly sleep.

That was a pretty cool assessment Palooka!

This is an emotional disease....there is no getting around it. So no matter what I need to address the emotional stress that comes with it. Today I see the doctor. Tomorrow I need to start more of the same Chemo! Is it any wonder I'm emotionally stressed? Hiding it not to upset others is the thing here. Not for myself. I know how emotionally stressed I am. I've also recognized that it cannot go on. I need to address it and that is a fact.

So...we'll see what the doc says today. Thank you for that cool post...that was really cool

The worst pain I've ever experienced is giving birth and then a bout of Sciatica which I was given D118s for, which subsided after a couple of days. So I am entirely useless to advise or suggest anything to help. I do know that bottom line depression is feeling sorry for myself and in such circumstances I use mindfullness for distraction. But I know Shadowself is talking about more pain than that.

That was a lovely piece of writing PR provided and I cannot wait for DX to join in.

Shadowself
4th September 2018, 21:10
So...as it turns out I need to contact my palliative care for anything regarding depression. My primary Oncologist and his staff work with the cancer primarily and refer pain management and any kind of depression to palliative care.

What did happen today and I did not mention yesterday as I was out of it most of the day is I had some "different kind" of chest pain followed with some minor jaw pain for which I was ready to get my nitroglycerin ready to put under my tongue. But it went away rather quickly so I did not take it. It did not come back so I just kept an eye on the chest pain for the rest of the day.

Most of the time I can tell when it's different than my lung pain and yesterday it was indeed different. So my regular scheduled cardio appointment in November was moved to the 17 of this month....and I was told the next time it happens to take an aspirin and the nitro and call 911.

I may have had a minor clot pass one of the two obstructed arteries I have and it had some trouble getting past that obstruction. I'd have to go look it up but I do have two arteries that are partially obstructed besides the one that got the stint put in. Off the top of my head I think they were both 40% blocked.

This happened once before back around March or April and I took the nitroglycerin and it passed. Then I was and have been fine ever since. I did not call 911 at the time but I did have a Dr visit with the cardiologist the following week. They did not hear anything obstructing so that was that.

So todays visit was mostly to determine if I was going to cancel the Chemo for a wait for the Cardiologist review and they decided to go ahead with the Chemo. I told them I was not certain that it was the artery block although it was suspect.

So...tomorrow morning starts the chemo for the next three days. They reordered the Opdivo for approval once again and hopefully the next session I have will be that and not the Chemo....On the way home I was rewarded with my usual triple vente latte with extra foam from Starbucks! My personal favorite that did indeed brighten my day!

I will review this book recommendation PR and discuss it with my palliative care when I call them for some assistance for depression. I do feel better today. But I also know it's just buried under the surface as I mentioned and as I have done now for months I'm keeping it down under that surface.

Man if I could get that latte once a day that probably would do the trick! LOL Of course I'm just kidding but that is what you do to mask the things I've been discussing.

Cannot wait to hear from DX as well...and yes...again that was a good post PR...I really liked it.

Okay gotta take a break and finish my latte....And end with...gulp...a Whole Latte Love! :headspin:

Shadowself

Well that was fun....NOT!

Yes Kathy you and NAP are correct it should not be such a big deal to get the Opdivo...but it's the best I've got right now and I understand why because this is the way of it for medical care in the United States. Sad to say but true non the less. Imaging if I had nothing it the way of medical insurance. Imagine if I did not pay for the Part B and Part G which is now deducted from my Social Security disability I have now. Best yet imagine if I did not qualify for the Disability!

Well of course I did qualify as I'm pretty sick which again I've tried to mask the best I can with a bit of humor from time to time and just in the reporting of facts that others might someday gain if this they should incur this god awful disease.

As I said before and reiterate: Be your best advocate! Ask questions, and find out what they are indeed doing to you and why.

Today they added more meds to my pre meds. Totaling 8 different meds in one day. It took from 9AM until a bit after 3PM today to complete all the IV meds they put in my body....

They added a new premed for nausea included with the Aloxi and one more which I can't remember at the moment. I'm sort of out of it as I just woke up about a half hour ago.

They added two other things to the mix which at the moment I can't remember as again I'm sort of out of it.

When I get in there tomorrow I will ask and write it down. I know tomorrow they are adding magnesium to the mix. Now I do take already 600 mgs of Magnesium a day already but for some reason they want to add more as my levels were down last week.

Came home with a needle again in my chest so again I have to be careful sleeping so I don't disturb the dressing and dislodge the needle with a tube on the end that is capped off. It does make it easier as I don't have to get stuck three times in a row!

Anyhow I'll let you know what the added meds were sometime tomorrow. I do know they are okay because I asked what they all were and were find based on general overall health. One was in fact today a vitamin supplement I just can't remember what it was right now. Based on that alone you can probably guess that my mind is not quite straight right now so I'm going to stop now and relax for the rest of the night that is left.

I've decided to try St. John's wort for the depression as it's been recommended now a few times...it's herbal and does not have the physical side effects that concern me. If it does not work I will still talk to the staff of doctors that supply my meds. I may even mention to them that I've started it before my next appointment. I don't think they will object to me trying it for depression. We'll see....I'm doing it anyhow. Just thought I'd let you all know.

On to day two tomorrow...by far the harder day in what I've experienced so far. It certainly was the last time that's for sure!

Oh wait...I remembered what one of the things they gave me was...a big bag of fluid with potassium was added today as one of the things they added.

The other thing they added today was Mannitol ...

The adverse effect profile of cisplatin is well documented, but the prevention strategies to alleviate renal impairment due to treatment are less understood. Mannitol plus hydration has been used for several years to alleviate toxicity associated with cisplatin therapy.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22298599

The chemo meds I take are Cisplatin and Vp-16

VP-16:
Generic name: Etoposide
Other trade names: Toposar, VePesid, Etopophos
Other name: Etoposide Phosphate

Ah...now I know why they are adding the magnesium tomorrow:

Effect of mannitol and magnesium on cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity: A retrospective evaluation.

Conclusions: Mannitol resulted in a statistically significant reduction in incidence and delayed the onset of CDDP nephrotoxicity.

http://ascopubs.org/doi/abs/10.1200/jco.2015.33.15_suppl.e20706

Nephrotoxicity is toxicity in the kidneys. It is a poisonous effect of some substances, both toxic chemicals and medications, on renal function. There are various forms, and some drugs may affect renal function in more than one way. Nephrotoxins are substances displaying nephrotoxicity.

Man I can't wait to get off this chemo!

Good Morning,

Just touching base. Had a rough day and night but at least I walked out of the infusion center on my own.

Lots of pain in the liver area...some in the right lung. Due to that I've been taking my pain meds an hour (sometimes two hours) earlier than prescribed. It helped with no bad side effects but at least it stopped the pain.

Started the St John's wort yesterday at 2 every four hours...to coincide with my regularly scheduled meds. Hard to tell if it's doing anything yet as I'm going through the chemo and that supersedes anything else right at the moment.

Last day of chemo ahead and hopefully this will be the last. The vp-16 chemo is not as bad as the cisplatin which carries over to the second day but it's not as strong. Yesterday I only got Ativan and Decadron with the magnesium and VP-16. It only took two hours and I was outta there.

The stuff I could not remember yesterday was Emend....for nausea along with the Aloxi and Decadron. All three ar for nausea but the Decadron is a steroid and also used as an anti-inflammatory. Then of course was all the other stuff that added up to a day of sheer crap!

http://chemocare.com/chemotherapy/drug-info/decadron.aspx

http://www.cancernetwork.com/nausea-and-vomiting/fda-approves-iv-antiemetic-emend-chemo-patients

today should be easier....much easier as I get the Aloxi with the Decadron and vp=-16 then I'm done! Yeah!

One reason I'm telling you all of these anti nausea drugs is if you know anybody that is getting chemo they do not need to go home and start vomiting. I get three in some of the treatments....I go home and can eat and hold my food down just fine. You need to eat for nourishment. That is just as important as the chemo.

Okay ...later and just know I'm hanging in there!

It can rain today,
Be stormy or snowing,
Because you shine
Like the sunshine.
Today is your birthday,
So we celebrate,
All your friends

How beautiful that you were born,
Otherwise we would have really missed you.
How beautiful that we're together
We congratulate you, birthday child!

Our good wishes
Have their reason:

Please stay
Happy and healthy for even longer.
Seeing you so happy,
Is what pleases us,
There are already enough tears
In this world.

How beautiful that you were born,
Otherwise we would have really missed you.
How beautiful that we're together,
We congratulate you, birthday child!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
It doesn't matter at all,
Your birthday comes around
Only once a year.
So let's celebrate,
The crackling pork,1
Today there will be dancing,
Singing and laughing.

How beautiful that you were born,
We would have really missed you otherwise.
How beautiful that we're together,
We congratulate you, birthday child!

Wow, Brook. What a wonderful find. I didn't know that about your son and what a way to spread your ashes. We spread my mom's into the Irish Sea as the tide came in.

I researched Burning Man a couple years ago. What an event. If things were different, esp. the hubby, I might go. What an experience it would be.

Your son had quite a life. Made possible by you. I'm sure you were incredibly proud.

I'll share a video of he and Terry and the crew including my youngest son who I gifted a ticket to when I figured he was old enough to appreciate it....I was there in 2005. John insisted I come and see what it was all about.

I am a Mystikal Misfit and this is my camp.

I know this is seriously off topic...but it's cathartic for sure.

Here is the interview I just found today...

That video of the Mystical Misfits is great. I almost feel like I'm there. What a project. Lots of work.

The shot of the structure as the sun goes down and the face appears is awesome.

I suppose I'd have to find a group of people to join. I don't think I could round up a crew on my own. Maybe my son and his girlfriend would be into it, then there'd be a whole bunch of young adults to do the work and be creative.

In my dreams, for now.

I don't know how they managed it.....I had a ticket that year but I could not bring myself to go....so Braydon my youngest got them to put his ashes in the head of the man for me so I could see it. It's pretty much a no no to put ashes of anybody in the head of the man...they did that year. It's not that they have never done it..it's just very rare. I suspect they put Larry's ashes there this year...He's the founder who just died this year.

That box with the red tape is John. He had the best seat in the house.

This is pretty much the culmination of Burning man....on the last Saturday they burn the man and on Sunday they burn the temple.

This is what My youngest son did for me in 2012. The fire twisters were pretty awesome that year.

Holy Crap!

This is probably going to sound crazy to some. But to those who understand listen:

For the better part of the morning I kept thinking why am I compelled to put this in this particular thread? I have another thread which would have been more appropriate but something kept telling me to use this one.

Check it:

From the OP:

We consider it more accurate to describe the processing
of genetic information by quantum channels, as the interactions
between molecules are determined by laws of
quantum mechanics.

https://arxiv.org/pdf/1006.4053.pdf

https://www.technologyreview.com/s/4...ay-physicists/

So where is the wave?

~

~

Quantum Biology: Proton Tunneling, Quantum Entanglement, DNA, Microevolution & Mutations

So I run into my friend's wife who said he just won an Emmy and I share his two time Emmy video...I find a video of John. Where he speaks of the 2009 camp where the pyramid is....right? The title of that video is "Evolving"! I didn't even pay attention to the title...just that it was the camp that he spoke of in the video interview.

~

Just to let you know I had without a doubt the worst birthday ever! I was so sick with chemo poison I didn't know which end was up!

But somehow through (I know this sounds crazy) the miracle of Quantum Entanglement and My DNA which I shared with John he somehow was able to help me connect the dots!

When waves collide...

Quantum wave functions describe the distributions of electrons in atoms, molecules, and solids. There are many electrons in a DNA molecule and many wave functions are necessary to describe them all...It was no accident that the evolution of our shared DNA was able to once again meet on my worst ever Birthday and now make it the best!

I know some of you probably thought...poor woman....she's still grieving. Well..in some ways yes. But you must understand the best memories I have are of my children! Sparking those memories no matter how sick I am is comforting!

For a few hours today...for me:

Geometry acted on Matter/Energy telling it how to move,
while Matter/Energy had a reciprocal Back-Reaction on Geometry telling it how to bend.

And we were communicating. Sounds crazy eh? It's not!

Normally in quantum mechanics this "back-action" is not taken into account. The wave guides the particles but the back-action of the particle onto the wave is not systematically calculated - of course, the back-reaction is physically real: the movement of the particle determines the initial conditions of the next round of calculation. In those calculations everything calculated to the sum total of the message. That message is in the last statements of his interview....we have something worthy to be part of...and we do it very well.

Well of course we did...we were not only mother and son...we were best friends!

I started thinking...how the hell did I off the cuff hear from Noelle (Terry's wife) today about his Emmy? I never hear from her. I usually hear from Terry.....and Terry had not contacted anybody that would have related it to me yet. It was a very strange way to hear about the Emmy. There in fact is not reason I would have heard from her. It was through sheer happenstance that I would have woke up at the exact time that happened to appear for me.

Hence...as crazy as it sounds: the "mental" aspect of the universe can be upgraded to life and consciousness by self-organization.

I could be wrong.....but that seems like sheer quantum entanglement that I experienced this morning.
His way of saying Hi mom....Happy Birthday. There is no logical explanation why I would have heard from Terry's wife in that way.

In fact I just went back to double check...and there is no way I could get that message. I won't explain why because that is personal... but it's a fact.

Well, I have to say this has been without a doubt the worst yet for the rounds of chemo.

Even last night I had a horrible time sleeping from pain to coughing to breathing problems.

I have not decided if this is because the chemo has stopped working and the cancer is worse....or if this is the healing effect of killing the tumors and creating this condition. Either way it is going to be addressed today when I go in for my blood tests.

I canceled my blood tests yesterday for today due to the fact that I just could not get it together physically. This is a concern that has me a bit worried. Then again it could be a sign of healing. I'm hoping the latter is in fact the case.

I'm also quite concerned about my port. The tube that travels up to the vein in my neck was extremely uncomfortable yesterday to the point that I had to take my pain pills earlier than usual due to the pain. Did I just say I had a pain in the neck? LOL Last I heard I am a pain in the neck!

Good Morning,

THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO BECOME PROACTIVE IN EVERYTHING THAT GOES ON WHEN YOU ARE IN TREATMENT FOR CANCER:

What a day and night I had! You know that thing I don't like and don't want to talk about regarding what people think chemo is the result of?

Well shortly after my last post I started getting really sick....and I indeed spent the whole evening into the morning hugging the damned toilet!

Now when I got this last round I knew something was different. It was much different. I also thought it was from the added premeds I was given. But still something was way off...because this was much different than the last one.

When they ordered my last round a different nurse was in the office when the order was put in along with the premeds based on my blood tests....I think she ordered me the full dose! She was not familiar with me or my charts...and from the first round they had cut my dose of chemo in half. I think she missed that on that chart and gave me the full dose. This is exactly what happened to me when I had the full dose!

So here I am pretty much over the worst of the stomach effects...but still got the chills and all the BS that I went through with the full dose.

This just goes to show you....these damned doctors offices are just too damned busy and make mistakes. That was a huge mistake!

My body is not that big to receive that full dose! That is also the kind of thing that can kill someone if I did not have a strong system to fight it and let me tell you I fought like hell last night! Not just getting sick to my stomach...but just keeping alert or going into shock.

There were some signs of going into shock which because I know the symptoms knew what to do for that because at my job I was part of an emergency response team that was trained to recognize when someone goes into shock. I had to keep myself covered in a warm blanket until it all passed. Early signs of shock.

So apparently I'm going to have to watch in the future the dosage as well as the pre meds if I have to do this again before I get the Opdivo. That's the kind of thing that can actually kill you! That is no joke! They are just too busy at that office and that mistake was and is something there is no excuse for. In the next few days after I recover some I'm going to call the infusion center to get the exact dosage on my last two rounds to verify it then I'm heading into that office and they are going to have to answer for it!

As for the hurricane....it looks like it may take a south turn into Georgia and miss the area I'm in all together. I will get some effects but not the brunt of the winds and it was predicted. So to my friends in Georgia...get those paddles ready! We've still gotten some flooding in the area already from some storms that were there to begin with....hopefully that is all we well get. South Carolina is going to get hit no matter what so good thoughts and prayers their way and to anybody in the path of this huge vortex.

I wanted to add this as some may not recognize early signs of shock and it's a good thing to know for you and your family.

Shock may result from trauma, heatstroke, blood loss, an allergic reaction, severe infection, poisoning, severe burns or other causes. When a person is in shock, his or her organs aren't getting enough blood or oxygen. If untreated, this can lead to permanent organ damage or even death.

Signs and symptoms of shock vary depending on circumstances and may include:

Cool, clammy skin

Pale or ashen skin

Rapid pulse

Rapid breathing

Nausea or vomiting

Enlarged pupils

Weakness or fatigue

Dizziness or fainting

Changes in mental status or behavior, such as anxiousness or agitation

~
(note: I had all of those last night except I didn't check my pupils and fainting as I knew the rest was enough to know what was going on)

Seek emergency medical care

If you suspect a person is in shock, call 911 or your local emergency number. Then immediately take the following steps:

Lay the person down and elevate the legs and feet slightly, unless you think this may cause pain or further injury.

Keep the person still and don't move him or her unless necessary.

Begin CPR if the person shows no signs of life, such as breathing, coughing or movement.

Loosen tight clothing and, if needed, cover the person with a blanket to prevent chilling.

Don't let the person eat or drink anything.

If you suspect that the person is having an allergic reaction, and you have access to an epinephrine auto injector, use it according to its instructions.

If the person is bleeding, hold pressure over the bleeding area, using a towel or sheet.

If the person vomits or begins bleeding from the mouth, turn him or her onto a side to prevent choking, unless you suspect a spinal injury.

~

So keep that in the back of your mind if you should ever run into any of these symptoms in the event of an emergency. I'm also still watching myself today...because I'm still having some of the effects and if they don't go away sometime today...I may very well go to the emergency room for a check. Poisoning is no joke!

North Carolina is a special state for many reasons as you must surely know why. When the wife and I finally decided a few years back to leave The Sunshine State, the choice was between mainly Western North Carolina where we had spent summer vacations cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway and such, that general area anyway, and East Tennessee. It's also about to hit in this area in the next few hours so I decided to make the coffee early just in case. I do have the wherewithal to cook and make coffee camping style but that would require some work which at this moment is not in the cards. I'm still waking up to the news that it's turned.

Just a note on my condition: While I'm better the thing that actually woke me up was the nausea from this overdose of chemo I had. So I had to take some meds for that before it gets out of hand. I was able to eat yesterday but I was also taking my meds to keep my stomach settled. They are definitely going to hear from me on this one.

I said it before and I'll say it again...that was a really bad mistake that could have killed me if I had not been barely strong enough to handle it. Mind you I was just barely able to handle it. I actually in retrospect should have gone to the emergency room when I noted the early signs of shock!

I had noted that day when I was in the office before they sent the order that the nurse was preoccupied with her dog in the back yard of the doctors office. I had mentioned it in fact as I saw the cage and asked what all that was about and she told me it was her dog who had just had it leg set from a break. In fact she left the room to move the dog inside before she came back to finish with me. That is when the doctor came in and she started the order. I know she gave me the original order and not the half dose. They are most assuredly going to hear from me next week.

I should not still be experiencing nausea but I am...which makes the coffee taste different for sure.

All I can say is it better damned well have killed some of that cancer! It would really suck if I had to go through that for nothing! Then I just might lose it on them!

Okay...time to hunker down. I kinda laugh at this cause I went through the center of the Northridge Earthquake...where I was seriously prepared to see the world end....LOL Now that scared the crap outta me! This will be a cake walk compared to that!. I'm not in a flood area so I should be okay on that end....just worried about downed trees which I have plenty so we've moved the vehicles away from that area. We are also a bit worried about Lionhawk's man cave...as it sits right under a huge tree that we've been pondering it's removal for some time now. Fortunately we have pretty good insurance to cover anything that might come along. So again it's mostly being out of electricity that will be annoying but certainly easy to handle as we are prepared either way.

After it's past I'll get back with you all to let you know everything is okay. But don't worry...it's not going to be that bad. I'm sure we will be fine.

Later!
Brook

Cool beans. Let's see about the opdivo, get you and yours get back on your feet again, and it can go into the hopper.

(Cherokee holds an especially soft spot in our hearts!)

I really need to get into that area of Tennessee. Lionhawk would love it too. Definitely when I get better on the Opdivo! I've been feeling housebound since I've been on this chemo. Which is not normal for me. I'm used to being out and about...this is one of the reasons I picked this place. To get out in the nature that is so abundant here! Camping and fishing are our favorite things to do! I am seriously pining to get back in the outdoors in the worst way!

So...yes...as soon as the Opdivo get to doing it's thing....we will plan on it! Send me some pictures of Cherokee when you get some time. I'll bet it's beautiful! It'll give me something to look forward to! Actually some of the people I worked with used to vacation there as I think they had family there. They'd come back all refreshed...and that says a lot to me!

Always looking at the positive side, I love it. I thought the same thing upon reading that, at least make it worth it!

You're not a kiddin that you've got to watch people hired for pretty much *any* service like a hawk. It's so easy and deliciously tempting to just sit back and say to one's self "I'm in the hands of competent professionals here" no need for concern", when they're as susceptible to human error as anyone else, although a mistake like that is egregious. You had better not hear any bullshit excuses or side stepping...

Do y'all have a generator, and adaptors to plug your phones into the car to keep them charged so you can still stay in touch with the outside world? We've got enough gas cans to fill up probably 25 or so gallons for such an occasion to run our generator that we originally bought for incoming Cat 4 Hurricane Charlie back in '04. I don't know how long that would last, but it certainly would be nice while it lasted. Ole Charlie made a last minute sudden turn and went in south of us, but we'll never forget staring that thing in the teeth as it had been making a bullseye of the Tampa Bay area. I went in to take my last shower for who knows how long, and it started to turn in just that short amount of time.

We actually felt a bit guilty that the area just south took the brunt of what we were supposed to get, so we filled up my truck with food and water and drove down there the following weekend to do our tiny little part for anyone who needed it. Boy that was ugly to see, but it was also a good life lesson in witnessing first hand how people naturally come together when disaster strikes. It does truly brings out the best in us.

Roger that. By the way when *do* you start the Opdivo?

Funny thing now that we can even see the mountains from where we live driving about every day, and it's not an 8-9 hour drive any more, we haven't actually been back to that area since we've lived here in Tennessee. Every now and zen I'll look at Mrs. Steeves and say "when are we going back to the mountains again?". Go figure.

Perfect song! LOL

By the way when *do* you start the Opdivo?

Well that is a big question. It will start when one of two things happen:

1) I get turned down by Medicare for it and then the turndown is sent to the drug manufacturer for approval (and they will approve it as it's trial in my case)...they will also give me the meds for free. Imagine that! The reason it's free is because it's being used for trial purpose.

2) Medicare approves it ...which is unlikely as it's not been FDA approved for Small Cell Lung Cancer yet because it's on a trial basis right now.

That is why we were somewhat stunned that my prior insurance company approved it! I was in shock and so was the doctor but the doctor had no idea when I found that out that I was changing insurance to Medicare because there was no way I could afford the Cobra premium amount to keep it going. It was $558.00 a month and I was now on Social Security Disability as my temporary disability from my work had only a 6 month plan...which included my insurance! When that was done I was in big trouble. In fact I still am financially as I now have to pay out of my SSD...my part B, Part G and Part D....which totals.....$290.00...leaving me barely enough to survive. I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to pay property taxes next year and property insurance. I guess I have a while to figure it out...so I'm not stressing on that. What I am stressing on is the deductible amount I have to pay yet which doubled for me as I got sick in December and got hit by a double yearly deductible....Instead of my yearly $3000.00....I now owe $6000.00. Actually I've paid 2000.00 of that so the balance is now approximately $4000.00 due to the fundraiser I started. Thank you btw to those who shared and donated! It's slowed down their process to do that.

Many people told me not to worry about that ....but they have threatened to attach my home/property and that I cannot afford either. If I lose my house there is no way I can find a place to rent cheaper than the mortgage amount I now pay which is only $407.25 a month. I put a pretty hefty down payment on this property to get a low payment for the time I retire. I was not expecting to get gravely ill however as my health has always been very good! When I turned 66 I was planning on collecting my SS and work for a year at least to sock some money away for extras. It's the absolute truth that I could run circles around people half my age. They used to say at work I made them tired just watching me work! Except that changed about four months before I had the heart attack...I was starting to slow down around that time and had this cough I thought was coming from a sore throat. I had no idea I had cancer and that is what they say about SCLC...most people don't notice it until they hit stage 4. Exactly what happened to me. Ahhh..the best laid plans eh?

Anyhow enough of the finance thing...as it's the least of my worries. Hopefully that turndown or approval comes in the next week or so...otherwise I have to get another dose of chemo. If that happens I swear I'm going to cry! I don't know if I can handle another round and I'm quite serious about that.

So if you believe in the power of prayer (I do)....please say a prayer I don't have to do that again!

As for the storm...it's taking its sweet time getting here...Slow moving and they are correct on that end.

We are having slight winds...but nothing to speak of yet.

I hope to never have to do chemo again! While I know it did some good for me...it also was slowly killing me. I don't know any other way to say it. It was zapping the life out of me. I'm so grateful it's over now. That has been one of the hardest things I've been through ever. I swear that to be true.

All the tears I've been holding in have suddenly come flooding out. Tears of relief now but internally they were built of out of sheer fear and dread each time I had to do it.

Finally! :) :hugs:

I know huh?!

You know I was so relieved and emotional yesterday that I ended up sleeping most of the day and into the night through the early morning. It was a combination of emotion (fear release that I did not have to do the chemo anymore) and relief that it's finally over.

Again I've not slept like that since I got diagnosed! Even with some of the meds I take that should actually assist my sleeping (ativan) I don't sleep well and regularly wake up at odd hours of the night and morning. Yesterday was the first time I really really slept! Apparently I really needed it as well! Because I woke up feeling rested instead of stressed.

When this kind of thing arises in your life you tend to get a bit in denial and I admit I've been and am still in a state of denial as to the emotions that are attached to this disease. I probably need to see a shrink! LOL I joke about that but it's probably true nonetheless.

That is why they suggest groups for people who are in treatment. I tried that but I got kind of mad that this one group online did not post my post...and now I forget what it was about but the fact that they did not even contact me to tell me why they did not post it just fried my brain and I quite the group. I'm not so certain that this group was actually healthy to be around. Some of the posts I saw were not what I would consider healthy to begin with. I don't think they had a qualified person monitoring the content and it became a repetitive group of posts without qualified answers. So it's probably a good thing I quit.

The fact that I slept as I did yesterday tells me I was really stressed and it was a great stress relief to hear that i was not going to have to do chemo anymore. Bottom line...it's over! No more chemo and I could not be more grateful!

A friend of mine from up north has been sending me her honey. Now I don't use sweetner in my coffee but I do in my tea and I just love pure home made honey! So I've been eating spoonfuls of the stuff every day. Another friend of mine who did not know this told me I need to start eating fresh honey as it's known as a "cancer vaccine"....so I looked it up and it really is! Check it:

Honey could be considered the most sustainable food produced naturally. It contains sugars, vitamins, minerals and has high anti-oxidant activities. Cancer is on the rise in most countries. Carcinogenesis is a multi-step process and has multi-factorial causes. Among these are low immune status, chronic infection, chronic inflammation, chronic nonhealing ulcers, smoking, obesity etc. Published studies thus far have shown that honey improves immune status, has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and promotes healing of chronic ulcers and wounds and scavenge toxic free radicals. Recently honey has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in cell cultures and in animal models.

Does Honey Have the Characteristics of Natural Cancer Vaccine?

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3942905/

There is now a sizeable evidence that honey has potential role in alleviating the causes of cancer thus a possible natural cancer vaccine. It is a natural immune booster, natural anti-inflammatory agent, natural anti-microbial agent, natural promoter for healing chronic ulcers and wounds and scavengers for toxic free radicals. Though it is essentially a sweet food and sugar is thought to be carcinogenic, its potential role in preventing cancer understandably raises skeptics. Improvement in immune status is key in prevention of cancer formation and honey has such potential. Recently it has been shown to have direct anti-cancer effect on various cancer cell lines. With increasing number of people seeking therapy from nature, this area of research has recently gained attention.

I have been downing spoonfuls of this stuff she's been sending me since the beginning of the year! More so now as she sent me recently a huge jar so I've been eating more than in the beginning of the year...which was a rather small amount and jar. So I was reserving it for special occasions.

She just saw what my friend sent me on this and she just yesterday sent me another jar. We are both rather excited about it as she suffers from inflammation of the joints. Though she makes the honey she does not eat it. She is going to now! We were both rather stunned at this fact and she is going to keep sending me the honey as I go through this process of healing now.

I told her she's not only making a food product she's making medicine and we both were rather stoked!

Anyhow just thought I'd share that as it's good to know as a preventative as well! It's also according to the article good as a topical application to wounds...just an fyi...

Anyhow...I think I've slept enough and today is a new day and damn it! I'm chemo free now! Woo Hoo! :headspin: :ok:

I can't believe I forgot about this, but Manuka Honey, from New Zealand has legendary healing properties. My flatmate in Singapore was saved from surgery for his severe chronic gastritis, which he got by living in China and being stupid enough to eat the food there. A few food poisonings later, he was chronically ill and nothing would help. After a couple of years of suffering with this and a steady deterioration in his condition, somebody told him to try Manuka Honey. He took a spoonful every night before going to bed and started improving almost immediately. Within a couple of months he was fully healed and the doctors told him he no longer had the condition.

I saw a documentary about Manuka Honey once and yes, it does have anti-cancer properties, but in a much more concentrated form than ordinary honey. It's expensive, but well worth a try as well. I think you can get it in most naturopathic stores or you can order it online. The manuka pollen content is the key here and you need to get the right pollen concentration for each particular condition.

Thank you Chris for mentioning that type of honey. I will certainly look into it.

It's really important right now that I ingest some good food products right now.

While Opdivo is by far not Chemo...there are some drawbacks. Lung infection is one of them. It seems I need to be careful not to get pneumonitis as that can kill me during the opdivo treatments. For some reason that is one of the things to watch out for.

So I need to watch what I eat and make sure it's high in antioxidants and overall high vitamin content. I need to stay away from second hand smoke and other kinds of dust and things that may contain mold. Our home is mold free and we've made sure of that...and keep an eye on it as mold in this area can grow quickly as the humidity here is very high.

Fortunately I already eat plenty of what would be considered good foods rich in the things I just pointed out. I've always liked those kinds of foods anyhow...even as a child. Red meats or no meats are not a problem for me but I do eat small amounts for the protein as for some reason my body craves foods rich in protein.

So starting this weekend I'm going shopping for foods that will be good to combat any kind of infections that might arise.....I'm set on the honey! As I said my friend has been ultra worried about me and has been sending me the honey for some time now. She is sending me what she calls her "layline" honey as it comes from an actual layline and the strange thing about it is it's much darker than her other two types. It's very rich and very tasty too! They say that the darker honey is the better for you in nutricion.

I'm feeling very positive about this even though there are some things that have warning for the opdivo. I think overall it should go well. The nurses at the infusion center were elated to hear I was going on it and told me it would be by far better. So I suspect as with any new drugs ads out there the warning are there just in case. But just in case I want to be prepared with the right foods.

I'm so excited and happy now you have no idea! It's like I have something to look forward to and that has not happened in quite a while. About the only thing I've been looking forward to is my grandchildren and being with them. In one week now I get to meet my newest grandson! So that makes two grandsons and two granddaughters.

So...the frequencies I've let go since that last round of chemo as I was far too sick to do it...but I'm going to start that again too. I'm taking regularly the Turkey Tail Mushrooms as directed by Paul Stamets...and if this Opdivo works as it's supposed to we may have a good chance to beat the hell out of this cancer they say is unbeatable!

Good Morning,

Well today is the day I hopefully hear I'm changing to the Opdivo. While I know I have the approval I've not officially heard that I'm changing to it this week. I'm pretty sure I will be however.

Great sighs of relief here as even now this last round has left its effects and I have just been so weak. I went to an event at my last job where they invited me to join in and while it was nice getting outdoors for the gathering it completely wore me out. Finding myself a place to sit down when I was just too dizzy to stand.

I'll find out today but I've been wondering if they intentionally gave me a stronger dose knowing it would probably be my last to give me a little more umph before changing to the Opdivo. I do know it takes a little longer for the Opdivo to get started and have heard that when beginning the immunotherapy sometimes tumors can grow until it takes hold....so that might be the reason they gave me a stronger dose. But I'm just guessing at this point and will find out more later this morning.

I'll be back later today to let you know what the outcome is.

Have a great day!

Opdivo starts Wednesday!

I spoke to them about the amount of chemo they gave me and she showed me it was the same amount as the last one. What she did explain to me was I was having what they call an "accumulative" chemo effect. What that is is a carry over of the chemo from the time before and is not out of my system and it accumulates...so it was like I already had some chemo in my system and added the new stuff to it making it stronger....thus the effect I was having of being overdosed.

Fortunately I don't have to worry about that again. I'm even still having the effect of the chemo that is making me tired as hell. I came home and again slept till just now.

So they gave me a pamphlet with all the statistics of Opdivo vs chemo but it's for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer because they have not made one yet for SCLC. Therefore the statistics don't apply to me. I'd share it but it makes no sense to as it's a totally different kind of cancer. It does have more information such as things to watch out for. If I get any of those symptoms they have to give me prednisone to calm down my immune system as it might get overloaded which is a common effect when you first start it. Apparently this stuff turns your immune system to full bore on and causes some side effects. But they have a fix for that. Eventually that calms down and your body adjusts.

Anyhow I'm about to embark on a whole new experience and am just grateful I do not have to go through the absolute poisoning of my system to shrink some tumors.

So Wednesday they give me an hour of education then the Opdivo. On Friday I get another scan to gauge where I'm at so they can gauge what the Opdivo is doing. It will also tell me what the chemo that was accumulating was doing. I'm quite interested in that as the reaction I just had should tell me if it was working or it stopped working.

Friday after the scan I get to see my new grandson as that is when his c section is scheduled! Overall a good week ahead!

Well that was easy! The actual time it took was about 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent doing a questionnaire which I will have to do each time to monitor my health and any possible reactions to it. The rest of the time was spent letting me know what to possibly expect and what to do if anything strange arises.

So far no reactions other than being tired. They did say that was the most reported effect but I've been awake since I got home.

No adverse reactions yet....but they told me it could take up to three days for anything to arise.

How nice that was to get out of there without that chemo hangover that starts as soon as you walk out! What a relief!.

I actually feel pretty human. I have been experiencing some pretty severe pain in my right lung and am hoping that is from a healing/shrinking? Anyhow they increased my pain meds to two pills every four hours because I had to call them as I was in some pretty severe pain and told them I took an extra half pill which worked but did not last but two hours. So far the two pills every four hours seems to be working without wearing off.

overall everything is good and I'm happy to be off the chemo!

Well...to me...this is what it's all about! FAMILY!!!!

Meet Zayden born this morning at 9:38 AM C section. 5 LB 15 OZ. Tomorrow afternoon I will be going back to see Finnegan meet his new brother.

Zayden is totally his dad! Dark hair and he even has hair on his back...LOL Just like his dad! His little ears are so cute. They won't stay that way of course but both of them are squished the same way on both sides, and of course the hairy back will fall out and come back when he gets older. Has his dad's eyes which of course we have no idea yet what color they will be, but I'm betting brown like his dad. I'll take some pics of Finn and Baby Z tomorrow and share. I had a hard time letting him go when I had to leave. I'm nuts about these two boys! :headspin:

Good morning,

Well, This is the third day and I suppose it's time to share this. It's going to come out anyhow in the next few weeks and there are some changes I'm having to deal with that are not quite on the bright side. I've been spending the last three days working very hard to keep anything negative from anybody I come across...My son, his wife, Lionhawk and friends in general. Lionhawk is aware of some of it and probably more aware than I'm giving him credit for but I've been working so hard not to worry him especially.

Friday when the baby was born, about an hour after his birth I started to have a pretty severe allergic reaction to the Opdivo. It started on my neck and spread to my chest, back and face. Redness, itching, and welts. Even spread down my arms a bit.

I was supposed to get my CT scan at 1PM so at about 10:30 I called the doctor's office and spoke to a nurse there. She said come in and I told her I had the CT scan to do. So she told me to keep it and let them know the rash is from the opdivo otherwise they might think it's from the dye and keep me there for tests and so on. So I did. She told me to take some Claritin I had from a reaction I had in the beginning of the year for something different and I did. It took away the redness, itching and all that was left was some welts and some left over scratches I had from the itching.

At the radiology department they would not do the scan because they said the dye might cause a reaction from the dye to be worse...even though I've never had a reaction from the dye before.

So I went to the doctors office. The doctor prescribed me some prednisone and then made me an appointment for Tuesday to see how I'm doing..if there were any changes to call and he let me know that I might have to stop the Opdivo. I asked what then? He said back on the chemo. Needless to say I was in shock about that time.

He left me with the nurse who called in the prescription who was a new one for me I'd never met her before....and I asked her what would happen if I stayed on the opdivo....that the claritin pretty much cleared it all up anyhow...and she said the claritin would probably stop working but to keep taking it and I said well if it works why quit the opdivo? She said and I quote "it would eventually cause my skin to come off". I swear that is exactly what she said! I wish the doctor had been there when she said that!

So I left, and proceeded to go see the new baby. Had a bit of a cry in the car then to the birthing center I went. While there I tried to keep my head up and just told the kids that I might have to stop the opdivo...and go back on the chemo. I told them then we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Next in walks this nurse who came in to check mama and baby and I said what a cool job taking care of new babies. She said yes it beat working in oncology down stairs as she had a hard time watching the patients choking and complaining that they felt like they were drowning....it was too hard for her and she transferred to the nursery and birthing center. I just looked at her and thought does she not see that I'm a cancer patient? I walk on the street and complete strangers come up to me and ask what kind of cancer do I have and how they beat whatever kind they have....or say they will pray for me or some such thing. I swear that is true. Complete strangers do that because the cap I wear is a dead give away. Not to mention I look sick most of the time. My face and neck were so swollen that day how could that nurse miss it? That was the last thing I needed to hear! Drowning?!? Crap!

So I finally left the kid and the baby while I was trying to keep my chin up and went to pick up the prescription. I had to stop to pick up something to eat first before I could take it so I went to get something to fill my stomach then spent the next half hour crying in the parking lot. Last thing I wanted to do was upset Lionhawk with this at this time after the morning when it started and he has seen the rash at it's full break out.

So the rash and itching went away. But my cough and pain has started to increase. I'm not sure this is from healing or not because I did not get the scan. So I went to see the baby again yesterday and even took a nap there on the couch they provide for the new dads with Finnegan who was tired too and we both slept on the couch for about half an hour. Then I awoke and realized I had missed taking my pain meds and spent the rest of the day readjusting the pain meds to accommodate the pain until later last night it finally went away. I tried a heating pad on the area of my liver which is painful as well as the right lung. I finally got the pain meds to adjust later last night and am okay again on the pain levels.

So what could possibly happen next?

My cat (who is an outdoor cat) and has been spayed so there are no male cats hanging around had vanished! This is not like her. She has been especially careful to go out and ask to come in regularly as she knows I'm sick and spends all her time inside with me on the bed or couch to be near me. In fact she has been spending more time inside with me than she usually does. I'm so worried something bad has happened to her! I've had a bad few couple of day and just am pretty much a wreck right now and have to keep up appearances so as not to worry Lionhawk...who knows there is something wrong anyhow.

So I figured I'd share this as in the next few weeks there are going to be some decisions made that may not be to my best advantage afterall. My cat disappearing is like a sign of things to come in my mind and just really I suppose need some prayers things turn around and fast. I'm not going to ask what next...Because I might just get an answer that is not what I'd hoped for...and speaking of hope...it's starting to run low right now. I'm still fighting...but this is getting serious. Options are running low and I'm hoping the frequencies I've been getting take hold really soon!

Sorry to share the bad news here. Who knows....it may turn around ...again I'm hoping...

that's tough...it seems the prednisone would be a better approach. I think your body will adjust...have faith...I am always praying for you...Nearly every day. Don't be too concerned about your cat. Cats will bug out if they sense illness, in your case it seems the kitty is sensing a change in your illness...perhaps the allergic reaction freaked it out a bit...it will return after things stabilize for you again.

God Bless!

Thanks Fred I needed that!

Man did I put up a fight today. At around 6 PM it started and started big time. I was in so much pain I again was one step to the emergency room again. My liver is getting bad with pain. I cannot get hold of palliative care and if I call the hospital they will tell me to come in and I already know what is going to happen.

I'll deal with this all tomorrow as I know it needs attending. But in the meantime the pain was killing me again. I took the two pills like they said but this time in three hours....it didn't work. So I took a half. It felt a little better but then again three hours later it all came back and stronger this time. So I took the 2 and a half....it did not work so about 40 minute later I took another half. That worked. So it seems I need three pills to kill the pain....until I can get hold of them tomorrow. My next round time will be three period! I'm not having any trouble with the three and I checked and they do make this pill in 30 mgs. So I figured it's probably okay until tomorrow.

Finally I'm pain free. Lionhawk made me some chicken and dumplings which helped me feel better too.

Cat is still gone but I will hold out for hope.

~

Maggie,

I needed that love charge bomb... it got me moving in the right direction...looking for what might help and what to do when the liver starts to get painful. Love from me Maggie!

I'm also not going to stress on this as I can always get a second opinion right?! I did some reading and 48% of patients that take opdivo have these symptoms....that includes the rash and allergic reaction. I saw only 3% of that 48% are completely taken off the opdivo!

Now I've been strong enough to handle the worst chemo...I think I can handle this! Besides I'm wondering if they even took into consideration that I had that accumulative reaction from the last chemo? It was a different nurse and I'll bet she did not even see that! That could be the reason I've had this reaction in the first place!

So most important is I'm finally pain free for the time being which was horrible once again. I read up on the liver too and there are things they can do about that as well until my body adjusts.

Thanks for being there once again guys and gals. God do I feel so much better not being in pain! I'm going to stay up long enough to take that next round then set my alarm for the next timing and try to get some much needed rest because this has had me going all day long!

ps; the reason I did not go to the emergency room is once they have you captive...it's hard to get away and to another doctor for a second opinion if I need it and I may very well need it.

Nobody said it was going to be easy, my friend. Opdivo is still experimental, which means that side effects won't have been neutralized just yet. It's going to be a very rough road, indeed.

At the same time, those numbers are hopeful. It means that they won't be taking you off the Opdivo so soon, and that you may be able to carry on with this most hopeful method of treatment. The success rates of Opdivo treatment are overwhelming, compared to traditional chemotherapy and/or radiation. :hmm:

Now I've been strong enough to handle the worst chemo...I think I can handle this!

Speaking of which, the guys who came up with employing the immune system for destroying cancer have just won the Nobel Prize for medicine (https://www.theguardian.com/science/2018/oct/01/james-p-allison-and-tasuku-honjo-win-nobel-prize-for-medicine). ;)

That's pretty cool eh! The first nurse that was educating me on it said when this stuff kicks in it's like a tornado and I would agree.

I think again, the effects of the last chemo is in play here. I was starting to have some higher pain levels before I got the opdivo. While I was starting to get somewhat better, I was still under the influence of the chemo when I took the opdivo. I think it was the combination of the two that struck me so hard.

Now i just have to convince the staff and doctor of that when I go in Tuesday.

I will say this pain I'm having now is far greater than anything so far. It's really affected my liver. But you might recall in the scan I posted that it stated I had too many tumors (while small) all over my liver, and too many to count. Now if they are being attacked by my immune system I can full well understand why I might be in that kind of severe pain. btw...that is no exaggeration...last night I could not sit, stand move or be still or even lay down without stabbing pain in that area and I could even feel my liver slightly protruding past my rib cage last night which might be from swelling...I just don't know.

That is the reason they would have admitted me last night and I was not down for that just yet. I also read up on the options available when that happens and I'm not quite sure that is deemed necessary. I mean let's face it....how many times have hospitals done surgeries that were not always necessary eh? When other options are available but one is more costly and easier. It happens all the time and I don't quite think I want them cutting off parts of my liver just yet...hoping it will grow back. I swear I read that and flipped once again! There is also a procedure that works with heat that may be effective and far more worth the try than cutting on my liver.

I'm not showing any signs of cirrhosis yet so while I have that going for me I think seeking better options is far more ideal in this case. Given again (I know I keep saying this but believe it) that this may stem from the chemo abundance I was having still in my system.

I think the problem stems from that doctors office being far too busy and steps get missed. Leaving much of the transferred information not being as complete as it should. I know the doctor is good...but he relies far too much on the nurse practitioners to advise him of the information I share and that is the best way to get that information "second hand"...and when that happens we all know things are not always relayed in a precise manner. They are relayed as the nurse practitioner understands what she think she remembers me saying as to my conditions related to her.

It's like the old adage of spreading rumors and the story always changes and get different every time someone relays it right?

I will not think twice if I need to change to a different doctor if I have to just so I can feel like they are actually listening to what I'm saying. After all it's my body and my illness, while the disease is pretty straight forward...everybody is different and their own immune response is as variable as the amount of stars in the sky!

So I forgot to reset my alarm at 4:30 this morning after I took my meds and had some of that chicken dumpling soup Lionhawk made to keep me from getting a sick stomach...and woke up a half hour too late to twinges of pain. I took the three pills immediately and so far it seems to be warding off the severe pain. My liver is still protruding a bit past my lower right rib so I need get hold of them this morning. I have a slight headache and took some inhaler along with the ativan to relax my anxiety...thanks Kathy for bringing this to my attention.

I will first call the palliative care and let them know I started to take three pills starting yesterday evening.

Lionhawk and I spent a part of yesterday both crying so I let him know as I cannot keep this from him and while he is an empath, he can also tell when the pain resides some and we both felt better when it was pretty much gone last night. We ate the chicken and dumpling soup and finally had some relief.

Andy cannot "feel" Sasha and he's been all over the yard and woods there. There was this large pot that was knocked over and it had to be something pretty big that knocked it over because it was heavy and full of packed dirt for later planting use. I have a feeling she got attacked by something bigger than her is gone. We cannot feel her anywhere. We've seen some strange dogs running around and perhaps she got attacked. Unfortunately I think she is gone. That is one thing I cannot change...sometimes nature has its ways...this may be one of them. I'm sure going to miss her. We are going to take one more good look at the fields in the back and see if we can find any evidence of foul play. I'm just sad and heartbroken because She and Buster were such good friend even when she was a wee little one.

I'm going to leave a video I made of her when she was a tiny kitten and Buster and she would play. They even slept in his bed together that was usually filled with play toys. Buster died three days after I got out of the hospital when I had the heart attack from old age.

this is how I will remember them together. Youtube removed the sound of the first song I had on the radio because it was blocked or some such thing. I think sould comes on later as it's not a song that is blocked...either way you can see they loved to play when they were together.

Just got off the phone with the palliative care and they are going to get with the person in charge of giving me the scripts...they are going to put me on some kind of "extended pill" that carries over with another kind of pill for in between...whatever that means.

I let her know about the three pills working but that they only last for sometimes 3 1/2 hours sometimes and anything over four hours starts the pain up again. If I can maintain the day without any further pain I will just wait till tomorrow to discuss all this with the doctor.

Whoa...what a weekend! :shocked::ok:

Good morning,

Well after a good cry...again....shoot! That is what you call nature in progress. If you're going to live in the country (city girl here) things like this are somewhat expected. I personally thought it might have been a copperhead as we've seen a couple come out of the woods there and of course Sasha would want to catch it....Loinhawk would save her from a fate that would have been inevitable. He'd catch the snake and take it deep back into the woods far behind us. Personally I would have killed it but that is Lionhawk's thing to leave nature be so to speak and carry on in your own space.

Since the tornado we had last year the deep wooded area not far from here has a mass of tangled fallen trees ready to be hauled away I suspect the bobcat came from that area as there are all kinds of things in those woods....wild turkeys and plenty of deer. Good place for a bobcat to hang out unless the big dozers are towing away what was left of the forest.

Well yesterday I held out hope because I thought she's a rather petite cat and was probably the runt of the litter and why someone dropped her off in the neighborhood where she came up to buster with no fear and wrapped around his legs a few times while Lionhawk and I watched on. She was not afraid of him and he just looked at the cat as in "what is this?" because he had never seen a cat before. Especially such a small one.

It was the dead of winter and snow was called for in that week as we watched on. We went into the house after watching Buster and the kitten meeting each other then shut the door. The kitten decided to scratch on the door and that was it. It was too cold for that little tiny kitten to survive and I had no idea if it lived here and belonged to anybody so I put out some flyers. But no response. I figured someone because of the size just got rid of her and dropped her off. Upon better look I noticed she was obviously out on her own for quite some time as she was very skinny and had what looked to be an infection in her eye. So I took her to the vet and they gave her some medicine for her eyes, dewormed her and that meant she was officially ours. I should actually say she was officially Buster's. He loved that cat! And she would sleep with him at night in that tiny little bed with all his toys along with.

They grew up best buds. She was more like a dog than a cat in many ways. She would come when you called her. She scratched on the door to be let out and in...and the strangest thing of all...she used the toilet! The only thing she used a litter box for was to poop....then one day she just decided to not use it anymore and scratched to go out to do her business. When she had to pee at night she used the toilet...I found this out one night quite by accident, as I got up to use the bathroom and turned on the light and the toilet was occupied by Sasha!

When Buster died last December right after I got out of the hospital from my heart attack from old age. He actually lives a much longer life than most Bulldogs as they have a very short lifespan...he lasted to be almost 10 years old and for English Bulldogs that is a longer than normal lifespan. Well when he was gone Sasha has noticed I was not well and until her departure this last week pretty much would not leave my side. She would cuddle with me like a dog.

Yesterday I had a thought that perhaps....just perhaps someone noticed that she was a main coon cat (which is a rather valuable cat:sometimes sold for 1000 dollars as a purebred cat) and looking so petite someone might figure that she was pretty young...they might steal her to sell her as she was quite an attractive cat as well. Heck they could sell her as a rescue up to 300 dollars! So I figured I would put out flyers again for her and list her as a service cat for my illness, with the hope they might have some sympathy and return the cat if that is indeed what happened.

That is when I got the message from the neighbor next door about the bobcat. Now we had noticed a large potted planter full of fresh soil for planting knocked over and she of course was too small to knock it over. So we both figured something large enough to knock it over had been on the porch and perhaps scared or toted her away. But If this is a bobcat she's not going to get too far away as the trees would have been her first attempt. And a bobcat is just as savvy as a main coon or any other kind of cat. This alone would have caught her off guard and of course the bobcat would have won out in the end.

No folks she is a victim of nature and the effects of nature taking down one spot and leaving the residents of said forest to find another spot to live and thrive.

Lionhawk and I both went out and scanned the area several times but could not sense her anywhere. Lionhawk is going to go in the area that Ed our neighbor said he saw it and see if he can find any trace of what might be left of her to bury next to Buster. I would at least like to do that for her as they grew up together and deserve to lay down together for they had a long life together in animal terms an it would just be nice for them to rest together.

Boy am I going to miss her. I keep thinking I'm hearing her but it's phantom hearing and sighting from the corner of my eyes....wishful thinking or is she still hanging around? I don't know I just know we loved the heck out of those guys and will miss them very much.

All I've got left to say is I'm going to miss her very much!

Love and hugs guys for hanging with me through these tough times. I'm better now as at least I've been able to get some closure.

I saw my dog out of the corner of my eye after he died. My most recent dog to pass away has come in dreams since, seemingly to meet the new dog, and she approved. In the most recent one she looked exactly like the new dog, which I took as a good sign.

My friend who lives just by the river has sliding glass doors on some of her bedrooms. Her daughter looked out her door one day and saw a bobcat. They looked each other in the eye and then it walked off.

Our cat was chased out of the woods by a fox which was right on its tail. The fox was surprised by our dog who happened to be on the other side of the tree that the cat climbed up. It was quite a spectacle. The dog was over 50 lbs and chased the fox at top speed back into the woods.

That was the same cat that would catch and kill wild bunnies one by one. He could practically climb up the side of the house!

We have actually had black snakes climb up the side of the house as well as squirrels, mice, and birds will cling. Especially wrens.

Update:

Well the lady Cathy (neighbor) who told me about the bobcat made a correction. Her husband Ed said it was not a bobcat it was a coyote he saw.

Anyhow she knows how much I loved that cat...so she asked me if I wanted a new kitten. I told her as much as I would love to have another one (although it's really too soon..I'm still getting over sasha) I also told her I really cannot afford another cat as my finances barely took care of sasha...and god forbid something happened to her I would be unable to pay vet bill! I was having a hard enough time saving for her shots and stuff. Don't even ask about buster! He had allergies I had to give him two shots for every month that cost a small fortune!

So next thing you know she knocks on my door and first off says....before you say anything I'll pay for all the vet bills and food and stuff...but I got you a new kitten. It's long haired so I won't be allergic to it as she knew about that. And this kitten is a special need kitten. No one would adopt it because it's leg has a bend in it. She can run a bit and walk....but still is not adoptable.

So I saw it and could not say no of course. Even though I feel and know it's too soon since sasha left...I just could not say no...because it is a special needs kitten.

So they went out and bought all the stuff and some toys for it, food and litter/litter box and such and left and came back. I wonder if he can figure out how to use the toilet too? He's definitely not going to go outside. So probably will still need the litter box.

I took a nap and the kitten snuggled up to me and we took an hour nap. Here is a picture of him:

He's so handsome. That's lucky for you.

He is and I am...he's sweet too!

He finally decided to go to sleep. He fell asleep on my sock and when I got up to take a picture he awoke briefly to see what I was doing...then promptly fell back to sleep.

In this picture you can sort of see his right arm bent. He gets around pretty good thought and can climb onto the couch and has found plenty of hiding places through the early morning. He's bonded with me quite well and is purring and very vocal! Much more vocal than my Sasha which I'm not used to yet.

He does run but with a limp and when he sit's up he puts his bent arm up to his chest....sort of looks like he's getting ready to kung fu someone...I was thinking of naming him Kapow! LOL He could also look like he's doing a Napoleon Bonaparte impression! :eyebrows:

Due to the nature of his arm he can never be outdoors and it would not be safe for him. Besides I would not let any small animals out around here with a coyote running around anyhow.

Anyway here he is with his eyes open watching to see what I am doing next. He's sleeping by the couch now next to me. We are bonding for sure! :smile2:

It's me, palooka's ex. Kapow! looks like a sweetie pie!

Well Hello starry night !!

I'm so glad to finally see you here! Welcome!

Love the avatar name! On all the forums I've been on I've only used my name (which I found boring as everyone else had something different and related somehow to their preferences) So one day since I used to say RU Sirius all the time back in the day I joined a forum and decided to use Sirius....but someone else had it...so I just used "Star"....then I got board with that and actually stopped posting on forums for awhile. Then when I finally decided to rejoin Project Avalon I used Shadowself as it sort of fit at the time. Starry Night is the bomb! love it!

Now to the kitty's name....Kapow is not bad but like I said he sort of sits up and curls his bent arm to his chest like a kung fu pose.

What do you all think about "Kung pow"? I'm mulling it over...LOL

So...as for losing the post...happens all the time even to the best of us that have figured it out and sometimes still do it! I just did that recently....ARGH!!!

Well I'm glad you made it here! Have lots to talk about too! However I have a 3:45 appointment about the opdivo today (crossing fingers) and I just hope Mr Kung Pow brings me luck...I need it right now!

Lovely to see you here sister! We'll catch up later for sure!

Everybody.....how's about Kung Pow? :ninja: ...the ninja cat....:hilarious:

According to the dictionary, it means "stealing". So I'm not so sure whether you would be using that word correctly here. :p

Good Morning,

Doctor said he's going to continue the Opdivo and leave behind the prednisone for a try. He wants me to continue with the claritin (over the counter med) in case it was the cat that caused it. He does not think the rash was from the accumulated chemo...but the liver and lung pain probably is. Right after the Opdivo I get my CT scan so we can see what's up.

Btw I had some severe liver pain after awhile when I got home and tried to sleep as best as possible.

Here is what I awoke to this morning! One Ninja Kitty working out! Pardon my sniffles I woke up with a bit of sore throat and sniffles this morning. You can see the bend in his right arm a bit better here.

I had some fun with coffee and video this morning. I'm going to have to figure a way to cover the sound of the sniffles....LOL

He's soooooo cute. I love his fuzzed up tail.

We used to have many feral cats roaming around here. One had a front leg bent at 90 degrees. It must've been hit by a car. It would limp/walk on the bent part and the paw was not really functional, as far as I could tell.

We didn't see it around for long. Not a surprise, really.

It's wonderful that you have been given the chance to give this kitty a life.

Congrats with the Opdivo and I sure hope the pain subsides a bit. Hope the scan shows good things!

Thanks, Shadowself, and everyone for the warm welcome! I was unable to get onto any forums for a bit, because (unbeknownst to me) my modem needed to be upgraded, and it was horrible! So as soon as I resolved that, I knew it was time.

So thrilled to hear you are able to continue with the Opdivo.

Yeah, when you suggested Kung Pow, I immediately though of my favorite Hunan restaurant in SF's Chinatown. I think Kung Paw is hilarious! And after seeing his "workout," quite apropo.

BTW palooka is out of town and unable to access the internet at the moment, so I will pass on the latest news. He is due back soon, so I have to clear off of his big vintage desk. Which means cleaning up my office. So I will sign off, and reward myself with visits.

PS. Question: what is the code to tag other members?

PS. Question: what is the code to tag other members?

Um, I'm not sure what you mean by that, starry night. Are you talking of the BBcode tags for colorizing the member names? If so, then you can simply use the syntax as here-below, but without the spaces...

[ m e m b e r ] n a m e [ / m e m b e r ]

This will then colorize the member's name in the slightly-darker-than-Dodger-Blue that we use. Likewise, we have similar tags for colorizing the staff members according to "rank", as well as the bots, members on sabbatical, retired members and deceased members.

The list of tags is as follows — again, you must omit the spaces in the spelling of the tags, but I have to use spaces here to prevent the tags from being interpreted by the forum engine as indeed being tags, because otherwise you wouldn't see the actual syntax anymore:

[ a d m ] Administrators [ / a d m ]
[ s m o d ] Super Moderators [ / s m o d ]
[ m o d ] Moderators [ / m o d ]
[ m e m b e r ] New, Junior and Senior Members [ / m e m b e r ]
[ s a b ] Members on Sabbatical [ / s a b ]
[ d e c ] Deceased Members [ / d e c ]
[ r e t ] Retired Members [ / r e t ]
[ b o t ] Bots [ / b o t ]

Is this what you wanted to know? :hmm:

Good morning!

Well I'm hanging in there. Pain levels up and down...but I'm working through it.

Apparently I have a sinus infection. So they are giving me an antibiotic for 7 days...which runs into the time I take my Opdivo. I seriously hope I don't have a reaction to the two together. While they are saying most likely it won't be a problem...the fact is they don't know as there have not been enough examples to compare.

Which brings me to something that I want to discuss with the forum.

FLU SHOTS!

Now....I never do flu shots for the many obvious reasons most of us here do not do them. I actually was working on a piece about flu shots around 2011 and I know the various dangers of it. When they first came out with the flu shots I got one from my work and it made me sick as hell! It was not long after that when all the bad press about flu shots started to come out.

Well guess what? I'm about to embark on the pressure to get a flu shot. For the obvious reason they give flu shots to cancer patients! Reasoning is any kind of illness you get during the cancer treatments can be fatal. Pneumonia for example. If you have lung cancer...pneumonia can indeed kill you and has killed many lung cancer patients. In fact many of the deaths when you have lung cancer is caused from pneumonia!

Now the fact is....I'm not doing any flu shots! I know what flu shots are all about.

I thinking I'm going to get lots of pressure to get one....so any ideas how I successfully tell them to stuff their flu shots without coming right out and saying that just like that?

So happens my wife asked me a similar question just recently. She had given a close relative a rather generic answer, to an opinion this relative had been seeking from her, because she knew this relative wasn't going to like the answer.

I thought about it a minute, and said well, if they won't take the generic answer, and demand to REALLY know what you think, then tell them! Of course as tactfully, and politely as possible.

That's what I would do anyway.

By the way Brook, I think it's a good sign that the pain level is fluctuating.

Can you tell them you take Vitamin D3 around 2000iu to 5000iu. How would they react to that? This is a known alternative to flu jabs.

I would just say that I've weighed the pros and cons and have decided not to take the flu shot.

You don't really need to justify it beyond a certain point. Its your choice. You don't feel comfortable taking the shot. Especially after having to be on antibiotics, I wouldn't want it.

I don't know whether it makes any difference to anyone, but I've never had a flu shot in my life. It's no use anyway, because the flu is a virus and viruses mutate. So you can get your flu shot, go through the phase where your immune system creates antibodies against that particular strain of the flu, and then you catch the flu anyway because the virus has mutated in the meantime.

Plus that you've got a better chance at catching the flu from sitting in the doctor's waiting room for your flu shot than if you stay at home. Hint: you won't find any healthy people in a doctor's waiting room, and especially not when it's getting cold and dreary. If you're going in for your flu shot and there's a bunch of sniffing people with hankies in the waiting room, then you're already too late. :p

Just make sure you eat lots of vitamins and minerals. Get some vitamin supplements from the pharmacist. Eat fruit. Make sure you drink a lot — I mean water and other beverages, not alcohol. :p

Just do what you normally do. You don't need that flu shot. :)

By the way Brook, I think it's a good sign that the pain level is fluctuating.

You may be right. Today was one of those fluctuating days. A friend came by and took me to the pharmacy to get the antibiotics for my new sinus infection and decided to give me no excuse not to get that blood test they forgot to give me while sending me out the door to the pharmacy with a prescription for a blood test!

So I got the blood test for which they added another test and while I was there a different kind of blood test due to low liver enzyme levels.

I'm starting to find this oncology office often makes mistakes. Like the one I will add today that threw me for a loop when I read the paperwork they give you every time when they give blood test or exams upon arrival.

Today I stopped to read the one they gave me and lost it! I will tell you now it's a major mistake made by the person inputting the information and was quite incorrect. But for a brief moment of sheer shock I read it and literally lost it!

It says.....Today's visit: D Dimer -CP , SOB, Hospice requested

Here is exactly what I saw before my eyes popped out of my head!

2264

I saw that and lost it....I thought they were getting ready to order me to attend Hospice....as in "Hospice requested"!

What it was supposed to say is palliative care requested....as in the personal who ordered the D Dimer test was indeed palliative care.

I mean really?!?! Is someone trying to give me a damned heart attack?!

It's like the day I was in visiting my new grandson and a nurse that worked in oncology downstairs started to tell me the reason she is glad to be gone from oncology was watching the suffering of the cancer patient and the feeling of drowning! WTF!

So anyway I got the test that is supposed to see if I'm ready to have a pulmonary embolism and the now added test for low liver enzyme levels.

Seriously this is becoming a lesson in oncology and what not to do instead of working toward wellness!

On that note I've got to get myself some rest as it been a tiring day. Thanks everyone once again for the suggestions as I was certainly not prepared for what to say and it's coming soon...the ever obnoxiously recommended FLU SHOTS!

medical personnel can be quite indifferent, not to mention conniving at times to make money. I'm speaking from personal experience. I've got a long story regarding my daughter's care immediately after birth...i won't bore you with it...suffice to say I actually went to another floor and asked for some nurse help because no one on our floor gave a flying f*ck...

my pcp wrote on a report that I was suffering from shortness of breath to get me qualified for prescription heartburn medication...At least that is what I figured AFTER my near coronary. My ex, then wife said I was just imagining sh*t. I'm not sure. He gave up his practice to be on the board of a startup level 3 care facility...that now sits empty as they went bankrupt...which is actually pretty hard to believe but that is a whole 'nuther story.

Good Morning,

That's interesting...however I think in this case it was just a clerical error. When I showed it to the nurse and asked what that meant she was sort of shocked as well and had to check on it.

I say good morning like I just woke up but the truth is if I slept 10 minutes that might be an exaggeration.

You know I read that coffee is good for shortness of breath. So because I spent the whole night coughing from whatever this is I've got, I decided to make some coffee to see if it's true.

I was a hospice nurse at one time. I don't think oxygen is delivered ever IV? But the point about hospice being palliative but not a "death sentence" is true. there are several issues like COPD, Heart failure, cancer, alzheimers which are often seen to "get better" when someone is on hospice care. the attention, the expertise of the nurses and the relationship that decreases stress work in people's favor. I had a couple of clients who graduated off hospice (meaning they got so much better they did not need it).

Hospice in the states is available when "curative" care ends. That the attempt to cure by conventional means ends does not mean people cannot get "well" IMO. I have a much different view of the body and IMO as long as we are alive, any change is possible. I think the biggest mistake in the medical system insurance covers is that it is mechanistic and discounts the natural ability to heal the body owns GIVEN THE SUPPORT.

Using hospice is an EXCELLENT support system. When a person is diagnosed with a condition that has pain and other symptoms to manage and is considered "fatal" by the conventional diagnoses and when one is not going for a cure, it works for the whole family. The diagnosis that may lead to death within a certain time frame (the MD writes the script) makes a person eligible but must be seen with indifference IMO to avoid mental agreement with the prognosis and the fulfilment of the "prophecy".

You are right about the mistakes. You are also right about the power of speech to hinder. I was an RN and also have been a patient and a family member and it sucks. It sucks and we should accept that you have to look over EVERY person's work before you allow them to touch you. That is why people should always have a "trained" advocate with them. I call it "RENTA YENTA" in that the busy body you "hire" must be assertive and fearless to complain and demand. It needs to be that way because there is NO accountability really for these mistakes. No one will even tell you one happened unless you catch it and the system has no remorse for it.... it is a machine.

Coffee!!! I love it and sometimes drink too much. That'll make my tummy hurt.

I don't get the flu shot regularly. I know people who do. My husband does due to his work. The idea is that he works around at risk people so it keeps him and them safer. To me, that's a maybe.

But he's never gotten sick after a shot. I know people who have gotten very sick after a shot. I don't want that to happen.

I always figured, it's flu season so do things that help keep you healthy. Eat well, wash hands, bundle up when necessary, take supplements if necessary, and keep a good mental state.

Good luck with everything, Brook. I hope your little kitty boy helps too!:love::love:

Haven't much time today just wanted to drop a line as I'm working on the frequency thing big time now. So I have some studies to do. I'm not relying solely on the Doctor and academics and status for whatever to finally tell me everything has stopped working and now IS the time to enter hospice care. That will be what eventually happens and I'm not giving up and resigning to that just yet! This is called WILL to LIVE!

While so far he (the Doctor) has been propped up as one of the best in the area....I'm here to tell him or anybody else I'm NOT going to lay down and die! Screw that! I have grandchildren i would like to spend a few more years watching them grow!

So after some breakfast and meds (that sounds funny eh?) I'm on the hunt for the proper care I need to kill this! I've had enough as after last night...coughing, hacking nasal drip and sore throat...I'm back in the saddle again so to speak!

Did you ever find out with more certainty about your other cat...Is it male or female? I hope I'm not bringing up an already sad memory.

Hi Shadowself,

Did you ever find out with more certainty about your other cat...Is it male or female? I hope I'm not bringing up an already sad memory.

We are still not over Sasha...she is a female. I have to tell you I think she's still here. I keep feeling her rub against my ankles and often think I'm hearing her at the door to scratch in. When I go to the door she's not there.

I'm also having a problem with my eyesight (from) the time I started that last chemo and have been seeing shadows around me. Now the thing that perplexes me is these shadows come along with the rubbing my ankles several times and I just wonder if she is here getting my attention to let me know she's still with me? When it became very evident that I was sick to Sasha she would not leave my side except to ask to go out and then she'd promptly come in and sit with me some more or lay in the bed next to me. Often times preening me like a mother cat! Instead of preening herself she's wanted me to be preened. That was strange too, Mostly because they do that to themselves. She was a very special cat.

Another weird thing...If she is here I think the kitten sees her! Because the Ninja kitten seems to be looking at something very close to me and won't take his eyes off of whatever she is looking at. For a kitten it's a very intense look which again is strange as most kittens just want to play and horse around and climb.

Well....if she is here the Kitten and I have both seen her in some form and it's somewhat comforting.

Here she is right now and where she is sitting is right where my feel would be. Never too far from me at all times...

When our old 18 year old dog friend Braveheart met an unfortunate end right around last Christmas, I took it a lot harder than the others before her because it was my fault, and I was well on my way to never being able to forgive myself.

One evening a week or so later I went down to the kitchen to make dinner, and out of nowhere I felt paws on my chest, a sloppy tongue licking my face all over, while the simultaneous thought "it's okay Dad!" shot straight into my brain. She hung around for a few days, to the point where I was thinking she might just hang around for good, and then poof, she moved on to other things.

I think it's pretty obvious she felt that draw, that unfinished business, and wasn't going to move on without it being resolved. I think the same may be true with Sasha.

By the way, we have a dog named Sasha. :)

Shadowself
7th October 2018, 14:44
That's cool you have a dog named Sasha! It's not a normal name for dogs or cats that I'm aware of.

Lionhawk attempted to contact her to see if he could locate her....When all settled a bit he told me he had made contact with her and he asked her if she was alright....Her answer to him..."I am now".

I think she must have had a pretty hard time with the coyote and put up a fight but it obviously was futile. We cannot find any evidence of her remains, but it's a pretty large wooded area back there with a stream....which of course would draw other animals such as prey.

Hay everypony!

I have lost four kitties to Coyote. It's hard. I have experinced them afterwards in different ways--Sparkle showed up as ectoplasm, I could "see" her "shadow" kind of like a roomba, bopping around the house. She was young, and we hadn't really established a "language" connection. Spooky was my familiar in many lives, and he let me know that he was on the way out. A lot of his essence slipped into our current kitty, and sometimes I see him like an overlay. Guenevive was a part of me, and when she came back, it was more like an inner vision, and she jumped back into my heart.

Yesterday Palooka and I talked a lot about the next phase of our lives. The night before he took me up on my invitation to watch a movie I haven't seen in almost 40 years, because it had a huge impact on my 20-year-old self: The Blues Brothers. It woke something up in me, then--the sense that I had a mission--and I've spent the last 30 years deepening my understanding of what that is.

A fundamental aspect of this mission is healing death. For reasons that I'm sure I'll eventually share as I go along, I no longer believe that this is the natural order of things. It is time to heal the gap between heaven and earth, so that we don't have to die in order to pay heaven a visit. I no longer want to lift out of body, to abandon my will, to break my heart, just so my spirit can go back to heaven and leave everything else behind. Been there, done that.

I'm gonna live forever, or die trying! I've moved through enough of my own process that this is no longer a matter of faith, it is simply a matter of continuing the work, and "beating the clock" in terms of recovering from my own denials faster than I make them.

So I absolutely know you can heal this, Shadowself, and I also know that part of the reason I am here is to hold space for you to do this work, along with everypony else, who obviously love you so much.

Building the rainbow bridge, within us, between us, and between all of the planes of existence, means being able to speed up our vibration so that we can repair and cross that bridge. And we can only take all of our selves across if we get *all* of ourselves vibrating. Our spirits can already vibrate at the speed of light--that is their nature. It is our wills, our emotional bodies, that need help at this time.

And the path to healing and evolving our wills is emotional expression, in sound and movement. This is the path I have been on for the last 30 years, and my experiences and perspectives are what I will be bringing to the table, here at TOT.

Here it is in a nutshell. There is a lot to unpack, and maybe this is not the place to do that--my intention is to start another thread in the "healing" folder and go into the juicy details. But I thought my post would not make sense without at least a basic outline of what I am talking about, metaphysically speaking. What these "waves" are, that are colliding.

Here's what I take as "Given:" The Will has desire for healing, in The Mother, in Gaia, and in each of us. And part of that healing includes releasing Death that has been held or trapped in the magnetic essence of the will for so long. Death--whatever that is--is so painful for the will, that the will has stopped moving in it's clench around it. The "death clench."

The challenge before us lies in the paradox of the healing process, as I understand it. The way the will clears itself, is through vibration (sound and movement), and so it cannot move Death out, because it is not vibrating. It has lost consciousness in it's death clench, and this essence no longer knows/understands that the "cure" is waking up and vibrating again.

In addition, the essence that *surrounds* this death-clench-essence, the next "layer of the onion," so to speak, has given up hope. When we have tried to clear Death out before, we have not been successful. But things have changed, particularly in the Spirit/Father/God side of things. There is a LOT more understanding about what is going on for the Will/Mother side of things.

So how do we "explain" to the hopeless, and then unconscious, essence, that *this time* it won't mean another reversal? That it is *safe* to vibrate, to allow this horrible experience to be felt; that *this time* we will allow Death to finally be released all the way out, and return to it's correct place--outside of Creation?

And of course, we cannot explain it. The Will learns *from* experience, not ahead of the experience. We have to approach it layer by layer, from the outside-in, gaining trust because we are trust-worthy, vibrating through all of the layers of the onion, though all of the trauma--how many times have we died? why don't people remember their past lives? why have people shut down their indigo chakras, their knowing? because it is too fucking painful!

This road is a hard road. We have not taken it because we have not wanted to. Because it means going into the most lost, painful places. But *not* going there has led us to the dire situation we are facing on the planet.

BUT... but... what is on the other side of the pain, the terror, the rage, the heartbreak, all of those feelings we don't want to feel, that we have judged as unloving, for one reason or another... what is on the other side, is truely, finally, heaven on earth. no more gap between them. no more gaps between each other, no more gaps within us! and no more Death.

That is the vision. That is my Mission.

Hi starry night and welcome to the forum!

So now I'm obliged to ask: Why is this suddenly feeling like your big intro to this forum, rather that Brook's deeply personal thread?

Perhaps start a "That is the vision. That is my Mission" thread separate of this one?

Welcome Starry Night!

Not sure why you would want to "heal" death, it is part of the natural order, an inevitable result of entropy. Even stars and galaxies die eventually. Life can be prolonged. Some Yogis are said to be hundreds of years old, whilst still being youthful. Gods are said to be eternally young, but not immortal, only very long-lived. They achieve this by drinking of the Soma / Amrita / Nectar / Ambrosia. Legends about the Holy Grail and the Fountain of Youth have similar themes.

I have seen some of what awaits us on the other side and it has cured me of my fear of death. I await the Next Life with Joy and Glee. In that form we exist as pure energy and consciousness, so it is nothing like this physical existence, but I'm rather excited about it.

Fair question, Fred Steeves. That is something I wrestled with. I "lost" my original intro post, and I pay attention to things like that. This post just emerged in the mement, so I followed my intuition and took the risk. I have been following Shadowself's story for a while, feel connected to her, and she is who drew me here.

But if it is out of place, I am happy to move it.

I only knew her briefly, but she was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met and I am going to profoundly miss her. No good news are possible for me today, I am deeply distraught and I know all of us who knew her, most people here much better than myself, feel the same way.

Although I miss you already, I know you are still with us Brook, in spirit, and I wish you Joy and Happiness in the life beyond. I know that you are in Heaven and that you are happy.

Now that I've overcome the initial shock of disbelief, the tears are streaming down my face. God, I am going to miss her so much. She was genuine, and she was brilliant in every way. I had such high hopes for this Opdivo treatment, and I knew that Brook was a fighter, that she wouldn't let up. I really believed (and hoped) that she was going to beat this thing into submission.

I've always loved her cartoons — she was so talented, and so spirited.

This amazing person was an honor to encounter. I am so sad for her friends and family but HONESTLY I cannot look on death as a tragedy. REALITY is so much more than the one little human life and so many who touch the threshold to "after body" say you grok the big picture, feel joy that is hardly expressible in finite words and CARRY ON as you are.

So I am sad she won't be posting and SURE she is having ongoing adventures. If any of her beloveds read this.... may you feel her close in and know she is well. Love to Brook and all her kin. Maggie

I'd be happy to hear updates, Chris.

I can make do without updates.

Dying is a deeply personal thing, we all do it, and it can be confusing during the transition. For one like Brook much less so than most, but still a most sensitive and personal period of time. It always is.

The over riding drive for a healthy soul leaving this plane is to move on, and the deepest honor we can bestow upon our recently departed loved ones is to do our due grieving, and then soon as possible set them free on their continuing journey. Never forget, always love, but most of all always set free.

If I wind up being the next to go here, please just do me the honor of simply writing my name on a little piece of paper, put whatever memories or well wishes into it, and then quickly burn it to the 4 winds. If you do any more than that then you (you in general) are doing it for yourself, not for me.

Yes, and from my experience the visitation is usually (but of course not always) to comfort friends or loved ones having an especially difficult time in dealing with the loss. The point here being that contact should be left up to the recently departed, not those still here in pursuit of them for further contact.

Artemis was Shadowself's guide, as she shared with us. This is a story of waves colliding and Artemis rising again.

Artemis Falls And Rises: The Razing Of An Ancient Wonder And A Near-Future Reckoning

On this day in 356 BC, the ancient world lost one of its seven wonders, a temple in Greece dedicated to the powerful and widely revered goddess of the Moon, Artemis. Today, the world is rising and shining as the Earth’s one natural satellite sets on the 50th anniversary of mankind first reaching that Moon. And just a few years from now, in 2024, a NASA astronaut will finally bring womankind into the celestial fold as she steps off the bottom rung of a ladder onto the dusty silver lunar surface as part of Project Artemis.

https://images.dailykos.com/images/698476/large/ArtemisEphesos.jpg?1563662775

Artemis was the first of the twin offspring of Zeus and Titan-born goddess Leto. She was worshipped under many forms across the ancient Greek world, being associated with hunting, childbirth, fertility, the moon, and the overall power of nature in general. Her twin brother, the Sun god Apollo (whom she helped birth, her own entrance into the world being swift and painless, but her sibling’s causing her mother seven days and seven nights of suffering), may be Greece’s clear favorite today, but there is no doubt that ancient Greeks were willing and enthusiastic followers of the cult of Artemis. They feared her, and they loved her. They carved statues of her and put them on literal pedestales. They built whole gorgeous temples to her, and news of their import and beauty spread.

And then along came one violent man.

Herostratus was not content with his anonymity. He wanted to make a splash. Do something big. Go down in history.

Unable or unwilling to do so on his own merits, he decided to take something down in order to lift himself up.

So he slunk over to the Temple of Artemis one day and set fire to it. Burned the whole thing down. Destroyed the city of Ephesus’s beloved homage to the goddess, including the statue of Artemis herself. This man wanted to make a name for himself, and he felled the earthly marble body of this Olympian female ideal to secure himself his selfish wish.

The ancient Greeks were so outraged, they decided that beyond executing the arsonist, they would deny him his wish. They sentenced him to what would later be dubbed damnatio memoriae. His name could not be spoken or written by anyone, ever, under penalty of death. Herostratus would be denied the immortality and fame he so coveted.

Artemis and her destruction mattered more than the man who defiled her temple, and the ancient Greek authorities saw to protecting her and denying both cover and coverage to him.

There’s a lesson here for American judges, but that’s a diary for another day . . .

The point is: Artemis was defended.

But Artemis was also forgotten. Apollo’s ascent continued while her own stalled. It was he, the Sun god, who soared to place of pride in the modern Greek mind. It was he, the Sun god, whose name emblazoned the patches of the men rocketing off our planet toward the heavens. It was he, the Sun god, whose missions touched down on the Moon. It was he, the Sun god, who went down in history.

What might Artemis think, seeing her brother’s name linked in glory and remembrance to her moon?

Perhaps something akin to what female NASA employees felt for more than a decade watching exclusively all-male crews launch skyward? Perhaps something like what the female members of mixed crews still feel being denied assignments on spacewalks? Perhaps something along the lines of what several generations of women and girls have felt seeing male astronauts get all the fun?

NASA is now coming around on the topic of diversity in hiring. And not as a grudging capitulation to political correctness, thank goodness. No, the agency seems to have sincerely realized that good talent can come from anyone, anywhere, and to have embraced the spirit of inclusion.

This welcome shift was on full display in Washington D.C. this weekend, as a wonderfully diverse group of NASA representatives from departments all over the country greeted visitors to the festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing.

Not only that, the space agency recently announced their exciting new crewed (note: not “manned”) mission to bring humans back to the Moon, and they have made a bold promise: the next astronaut to return to the Moon, after a nearly 47-year-long absence, will be a woman.

The first woman on the Moon.

And the mission will be named Artemis.

Apollo’s twin, the firstborn goddess, will finally touch down on her Moon.

It will be a homecoming of sorts. A putting to rights. Artemis will reclaim her place. And she and whatever skilled brave woman flies with her to the heavens will show the world that the original He Who Must Not Be Named, the ancient Greek You Know Who, failed to keep her down. That women are a force to be reckoned with.

Yes, a woman will soon rise to the Moon. And when she does, she and Artemis will go down in history.
