Program Description: One of my favorite guests rejoins the program to discuss the dismal state of science in the United States. Our restricted thinking and tightly controlled thought police have created the perfect storm for the United States to fall way behind in Physics and related science disciplines. The consequence of our controlled paradigms will be long lasting and devastating to our prosperity long term.

Is this really bad? Most Physics of the so called mainstream is wrong anyway...

That is your opinion — and you are entitled to that — but no, most of the physics in the mainstream is actually very, very correct. Almost every day there's some experiment or astronomical observation that corroborates the correctness of Einstein's General Relativity, and quantum physics is still a work in progress, but it's definitely on the right track as well. And at the same time, there are lots of alternative theories out there that have yet to offer the very first piece of evidence for their claims.

I have studied physics. We have empirically tested a lot of that stuff at the lab. We know this stuff is correct, regardless of what anyone out there says.

We’re not talking Kitchen Physics here, it’s the theoretical that is bent. When no one knows how to connect the small (Quantum Mechanics) with the large (Newtonian Mechanics) that’s when you should realize we have a problem.

Newtonian physics, although still somewhat applicable for everyday life, are themselves incorrect, and have already long been superseded by General Relativity.

The problem with quantum physics however is that it is too experimental and based upon purely mathematical formulas that refuse to take General Relativity into account. While there is definitely validity in quantum physics, most physicists in that field are simply trying to reinvent the wheel. They're not looking to unify quantum physics with General Relativity, but rather to replace all of General Relativity with a purely quantum-physical model.

There's a lot of ego going round in those environments, and a lot of politics too. :hmm:

if the secret space program hears about this, they are gonna be pissed!

Never mind them. What I'm really worried about is the Flat Earth people and the Hollow Earth people. Have you ever seen one of those when they're angry? :nails: :p

Yeah, I know that. The Newtonian is a place holder for “big things” Quantum Mechanics is “little bitty things”. Even Ewoks have to admit they don’t fit together. And a certain Richard Feynman said:

“I think I can safely say that nobody understands Quantum Mechanics.”

...maybe nobody doesn’t cover Ewoks?...

Possibly. It is after all a Never-Ending Story. :p
