Probably true. However, to my mind, the significant thing about economics is that it cycles; like a swing hung from a tree branch. It swings up, then down; and the cycles are measureable. It seems that every 75 or 80 years there's a complete turnaround. I was born at the end of the Great Depression. After WWII, we went into a boom. Then it came down again. (2008?) And so it goes. On and on it goes.
