The 66-year-old actor - who was born in Austria - is battling to change the law in America to allow foreign-born candidates to stand for the top political role, which will allow him to take part in the elections in three years time and possibly be voted in as the leader of the country.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Schwarzenegger has been talking openly about working on getting the constitutional rules changed so he can run for president in 2016. He is ready to file legal paperwork to challenge the rules."
The Constitution prevents foreign-born citizens from being the country's leader, and any amendments must be approved by a two-thirds majority in the House and the Senate, but The Expendables 2 star became a US citizen in 1983 and could go forward with a legal challenge.
Schwarzenegger has always had political aspirations and became the Governor of California in 2003 after winning the election. He held the position for two terms before returning to his film career in 2011.
Speaking previously, he said: "That was always the plan: I'd step out of the movie business for a period of time, and into the governorship. And then, when I'm finished with the governorship, go back to the movie business. I am very happy being busy with movies."

Okay so lets look at the positives:
He manages to awaken the whole of the Usa by means of repeated quotes from his movies:
"Come with me if you want to live"---Terminator
"I'm not into politics, I'm into survival" --- The Running Man
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women." ---Conan
"If it bleeds, we can kill it." ---Predator
"You're a funny guy, Sully. I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last." ---Commando
"I'm no mercenary. Nobody pays me. And if I think somebody owes me something, I take it." ---Red Sonja
"This hero stuff has its limits." --- Last Action Hero
"Hasta la vista, baby." --- T2

I can just imagine him saying " Vote for me.....if you want live"

yeah, he ticks all the boxes to replace Obama..........

I'll be back.....:hilarious:

Talking of quotes, when he finds out that the POTUS works for the banks, "No body gives me a raw deal" (Raw deal) Followed by blasting the heads of the major banks out of the oval office window with grenade machine gun....

Now you see why amerika gets such remarkable leadership when they are always offered two remarkable candidates to run against each other ...

[myself ... I'll be shocked to see if the country remains long enough for the next election ... I must be a glass half empty kinda guy]

What we really need is a 3rd party.

But as talk-show host Dave Letterman quipped: Is there really enough money to bribe the candidates in one more party?

On the serious side, I'm a Jesse Ventura fan - but Howard Stern as his running mate???
