THIS ancient monument could prove a sophisticated
civilisation just like ours existed 13,000 years ago -
and may foresee the apocalypse.

The monument is twice as old as Stonehenge and far more impressive in
craftsmanship

Archaeologist Graham Hancock has insisted for the past 20 years that a highly evolved human civilisation was wiped out by a global catastrophe.

He argues it is only remembered in myths and Biblical accounts such as the story of Noah and The Flood.

Archaeologist Graham Hancock argues that an evolved society was
wiped out

His latest book, Magicians Of The Gods, states that a mini Ice Age consumed the planet around 13,000 years ago following a comet strike.

During a dig in Turkey at Gobekli Tepe, archaeologists discovered a monument twice as old as Stonehenge and far more impressive in craftsmanship.

Astronomical carvings and inscriptions on the stones served as aides for prehistoric stargazers.

He claims the monument tells of a meteor falling from the sky

They also told the story of a comet that fell from the sky, all but wiping out the human race.

Hancock claims there are hundreds of other myths that tell of an advanced human civilisation destroyed by floods and fire.

He also presented physical evidence like giant boulders, platinum deposits and tiny diamonds found across North America.

Researchers at Edinburgh University have since backed up his theory.

Dr Martin Sweatman said: “One of the pillars at Gobekli Tepe seems to have served as a memorial to this devastating event – probably the worst day in history since the end of the Ice Age.”

The key finding was a series of constellations on a pillar that represented the stars in 10,950BC – enabling scientists to point out the exact date when the comet struck.

Most archaeologists struggle to explain how a “primitive” culture could have worked with such precision.

Hancock argues a human civilisation predated the comet strike, one at least as advanced as the Romans.

He also believes the Gobekli stones predict another cosmic collision.

Hancock thinks what hit Earth in 10,950BC was actually a massive piece of debris in the Taurid meteor stream, a belt containing millions of space rocks.

According to astrophysicists, hidden within that rock is an unexploded superheated rock.

Sealed inside it are thousands of white-hot boulders which would be set spinning through the meteor stream.

Earth is due to cross the taurid stream in 13 years, around 2030. Only time will tell if Hancock’s theory is correct.

My problem with bolides striking the Earth and ending an advanced civilization is that a civilization just a little more advanced that ours is capable of detecting and deflecting anything so large as to do damage on such a scale. This stuff just doesn't wash with me UNLESS such a bolide was used as a weapon by another technological group unhappy with "our guys."

Those three kete or bags denotes the three baskets of knowledge and or wisdom as in the moari and waitaha lore, the differing animal given to each one is imo very very symbolic, we see the one kete or bag being carried by some wise one, being displayed all around the world in ancient times, a waitaha story I heard, the last shaman or wise one holding all three kits of wisdom ( older traditional form kete, waitaha ), died prior to the Kaiapoi battle/s, before the 1900 period from memory and while they were not fully as such trained, were holding all three bags.

Something i just noticed is the differences between the bags or kete, besides the animals, lot of meaning in this imo.
