Has anyone else noticed a new kind of spam coming their way since providing name and address to change dot org?
I've started getting crap from spammers who seem to know what my nearest town is.
OK - we are all entitled to our opinions.
But what if there was a Van with "Seikou-Kishi is a 'EFFING SLUT'" written on the back??
How would you feel??

I just wanted to point out to SK that I feel 'very precious' about how children are treated - sexually or otherwise.
If He/She wants to 'Have a Go' at me then 'Go Ahead'.

Did you misread me by accident or design, HS? Point out to me where I said any of this was acceptable. I said sexism was a low bar, something only small-minded people would ever possibly resort to. Low hanging fruit for low-brow people (ever heard the phrase "people can't see a tone without diving under it"?). How you interpreted me as meaning the complete opposite of what I said is a testament to stupidity. Mazel tov.
You clearly have no idea who I am, HS, if you think I would talk casually or mockingly about anything that treats children inappropriately and anything that is misogynistic. You misinterpreted and proceeded to criticise the content of your assumption. Your self-righteous effluvium is therefore no reflection on me, but your eagerness to act like a lout by Sooz's prompting is a reflection on you.
I would have expected better of Sooz, though, who's more frequent presence should have given her a modicum of knowledge about the kind of person I am. If people haven't seen my hatred of misogyny, and sexism in general, and also any abuse or exploitation of children on threads like those about Jimmy Savile... If people know so little about me, what can their opinion be worth? Anything multiplied by zero is zero.
Already I have wasted more time on you two than both of you merit together, but I reserve a special little mention for you too, Sooz, you small-minded sh!t-stirrer. Who are you to try to involve me in an argument — especially when I wasn't even present?

I think you're right. I'd have much preferred simply to have been asked and I could have assured HS that I abhor inappropriateness concerning children as keenly as does he. Misunderstanding in itself is nothing, but a presumptive leap to antagonism lacks civility.
For the sake of accuracy and HS's memory, I will again state that I am male. For HS's further information, I shall say that intimidation is not my game; if he resents the idea that he by necessity must be brave just to disagree with me (though we do in fact agree), he should take it up with the one who pushed his buttons and gave him that idea and not with me. Bravery or "guts" is not something anybody needs for talking to me, though an accurate idea of what I said or a willingness to find out what I mean is desirable. He did "leap to antagonism", but somebody else handed him the airfare.
