Perhaps lesser known to younger audiences, Al Jarreau was one of the great jazz singers of modern time. He would often make use of his voice and mouth to mimic the sound of (other) musical instruments — such as percussion or an electric guitar — and he was also very proficient at scat singing.
Al Jarreau provided the theme songs for several movies and television series, but on occasion he would also have a pop chart success, of which the one here-below is probably the one best known.
